I visited three different places for my Dad, and all three were outstanding in their own respects. Whealdon Estates seemed to have the most active "vibe" about it as I saw many more residents out and about than I saw at the other places I visited. It's a little bit older than many of the places, but it was clean and fresh, and the staff was sincerely focused on the well-being of the residents. Whealdon has the right floor-plan for what my Dad needs. I believe they have three or four different floor plans depending on what you are looking for - I'm sure they can find something for you, too!

This facility is under construction, so I was not able to see rooms / public areas. The planned spaces look attractive (hallways of residences separated into smaller wings, public / gathering spaces on each wing). Activities and technology seem modern and informed by research/science. The people I spoke with there were kind and knowledgeable. I was very impressed! My only concern stems from not being able to see the finished facility and to interact with staff and/or residents.

This seems to be a lovely place, and would be a good fit. It's a little bigger than what I would like. But so far this is the way we are leaning if and when we decide to make a move.

My Mother-in-law loved visiting Smoky Springs!! She liked the atmosphere (playing music as we walked in), the staff and also the persons she met already living there. We'll continue to check out other places but this one is at the top of our list.

I feel this is a good community for someone that don't require a lot of care. My husband is doing pretty well here he is still adjusting to community. This is a nice community it looks very pretty very clean and the way the rooms are set up all the doors opens to the common area. My only issue has been with laundry service I had found my husband laundry not done many times.The staff is good I just don't think they are qualified to care for Alzheimer's patients but, they do have a great activities director. The food is good they serve a well balanced meal. This is a pretty nice community.

They really have a wonderful staff at this community. They are indeed helpful with everything. This is a good community, it looks nice and clean. The staff is wonderful, they are very kind, and willing to help. My sister in law says the meals are nice and the food is good. She is doing well here and seem to have adjusted well to the community. This wouldn't be the first community I would recommend, but it would be the second.

I chose this place. It was very nice and everyone was friendly. The rooms were built around a LARGE area where everyone communes and does not feel alone. MY drawback is that he is very combative when you change him and he roams at night. They became very exasparated with him and mentioned I might want to look somewhere else. Since then it has become better but I need to look at other places if they decide not to keep him. I also do not think that the aids there have had enough training to cope with the more difficult patients

It has been a positive experience so far for us here at Sunrise. The staff has been very welcoming and helpful to my husband and his needs. He enjoys to go work out in the morning, that is just one of the activities they offer here. It was a easy move in process and very low stress, they made the process go very smoothly. I would recommend this community because it is a caring warm place to move your loved one to.

I looked here when I was looking at options. I liked it and thought it would be a good fit. This was in the top two for us. We ended up going with our other top choice based on location.

I think it's good. It's kept clean, and the staff is friendly. They have been very responsive to anything that has come up. The one area that is lacking is the menu, offering opportunities for alternative diets. They are working on offering more alternatives, though, and that is good.

My loved one lives in the memory care unit. We are very pleased with the level of care they provide at the facility. They offer different activities that they seem to enjoy.

We have already gotten settled in and gotten everything taken care of and so far, everything is going just fine. So far, we have not had any problems and thank you for helping us find a good fit for us.

I have always gotten a great feel or vibe when i am here. The quiet neighborhood feel is the best and i really enjoy being here.

My loved one says that as far as the food is concerned, a lot of the times what is displayed on the menu is not what they are serving. Also she says that she would like to see more choices available as well.

I toured this community while looking into senior living options for my parents. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved ones.

Laurel Grove has had a lot of turn over. Mom moved in and never got greeted. She is a southern woman so I made a gift basket for her and said it was from the staff. I was trying to make her happy. I just think that should have been standard for them to welcome her in. I know it's not their fault but it was disappointing.

Too expensive! However I'm not giving up yet. If we can get the VA monthly benefit, weight be able to afford it. Besides affordability , it is fabulous! Beautiful- has everything we want and laid out well. Rocking chairs on sun porch; bistro for snacks and coffee, nurse and CNAs nearby and very pleasant. Great vibe, congenial and friendly atmosphere.

Overall the staff at Sunrise of Johns Creek was warm, friendly, and flexible. Dad just wasn't there long enough for us to really get a feel for things. In the short time he was there it was a good experience.

Loved it. Felt like an extended stay hotel combined with a senior club.
