I am very familiar with Grand Haven. A beautiful place but not sure it will work with the progression of Mom's dementia.

Grandhaven maintains a very neat and clean environment. When my parent moved in, the apartment was in very good condition. They also just replaced the carpeting in the common areas. The landscape is well cared for and the side walks are maintained to make it easy to walk them. Activities are offered in house and out in the community. There is a van available for the activities and for running errands like shopping or banking. My parent still drives a car but likes the idea that in the winter, there is a van transport. Monthly there is a calendar showing the different activities and daily reminders are sent to residents for events the next day. There is a dinner meal made available for an additional charge and is optional for residents. A monthly calendar is also sent out with the menu of meals. Some of the community activities also include breakfast or lunch meals. There are some volunteer opportunities and a lobby area where residents can meet, get to know each other and sign up for activities. It has been a month and one half since my family member moved and they say they are glad they made the decision to move to Grandhaven. Above are some of the reasons why.

So far she seems to like it here. She hasn't had any complaints about the food, or other residents or anything else. This was pretty comparable in price to others we looked at.

Only offer 1 meal a day and Medication mgt. is $630 per month. Too expensive.

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. Elmhaven Manor seemed like a nice place, overall. The facility was clean and well kept, and the staff seemed friendly and professional. How it was a bit more expensive in terms of cost to what they offered, compared to some options we saw in the area.

I toured here when I was looking into options, it was a nice community and I enjoyed the visit. It was clean and seemed under control, and the staff was friendly. I did not have a meal or engage in any activities, so it's hard to rate that.

Everyone was so nice and very helpful. Administration was helpful... even when I wanted to come back for a second visit, the manager stayed late so I could do another walk through. Visually, everything very appealing....neat and clean. I've encountered some of the residences before and after moving my mom in and all of their replies were positive. Some of them had been there 3 months and others for 12 years. Thank you so much for your help.

My sister and I were impressed with the facility. Mom can find something not quite right with perfection. We are presently checking with home health agencies as mom is still adamant about staying in her home. We will schedule Wescourt soon though......

So far we've been pleased with our experience with Westhaven Manor. It's a well kept, clean community, the staff are friendly, and the services they offer have met my loved ones needs. The staff have been very easy to work with, and it was a nice smooth transition into the community for my loved one.

Good fit. Only downside was location. Too far from other family.

Overall I think they do a very good job at this community. The facility itself is nice looking, and they really do a good job of staying on top of the upkeep and cleanliness. I've been very impressed so far.

Clean convenient price acceptable immediate occupancy

This one is a high rise. We liked the facility but I know my mother was not going to be okay with a multi-story facility for mobility reasons.

Elmhaven Manor has been a great community and everything has been going very well. My loved one is happy here. We are very pleased with them and what they provide; we would recommend this community to anyone.

We have visited, liked and signed up for move-in August, 2014.

Very nice - but if Mom could live here I think she would be just as well off at home. Although they do offer organized activities and transport to the grocery store, etc. Might be useful depending.

I am interested in the cottages. Have asked if they have a waiting list.

Apartment living. looks good. pricing is good.
