Good fit. Only downside was location. Too far from other family.

Overall I think they do a very good job at this community. The facility itself is nice looking, and they really do a good job of staying on top of the upkeep and cleanliness. I've been very impressed so far.

Clean convenient price acceptable immediate occupancy

This one is a high rise. We liked the facility but I know my mother was not going to be okay with a multi-story facility for mobility reasons.

Elmhaven Manor has been a great community and everything has been going very well. My loved one is happy here. We are very pleased with them and what they provide; we would recommend this community to anyone.

Very nice - but if Mom could live here I think she would be just as well off at home. Although they do offer organized activities and transport to the grocery store, etc. Might be useful depending.

I am interested in the cottages. Have asked if they have a waiting list.

We were all impressed with the apartment, the staff and planned activities. We have visited at least 7 ploaces and this is the most favorable at this point. Met a gentleman there that he knows and got good reports from him. This is one of the best places as far as cost and value.

The facilities are kept in excellent condition. The staff are friendly but are quick to cut off services if payment is not made right on time. Their attitude at times can be curt and abrupt. Otherwise the facility provides a good place to stay though a bit on the pricey side.

swanhaven is a little further out then we'd like to travel...but...their system is different...you pay for your apt and pick the services that are needed NOW...services can be changed, more added, as needed...each apt has a full kitchen for those who like to cook...so you're only charged for the meals provided if you attend/eat in the community dining room...(some things to consider.

The bus routes to the banks and stores could later in the day. Or more often through the selected days. The diversity or different things to get folks to meet other residents in the homes. My mom says the place is clean, staff is nice but tough to make friends and is overly quiet borderline spooky in the evenings

I did recommend the James for the following reasons: 1. The cleanliness. 2. The units are very nice. 3. The staff my family dealt with was very professional and easy to deal with. 4. The amenities such as outings, access to movies and other entertainment. The issues are as follows: 1. Charge to deliver meals. 2. No one to take residents to movies and other on site gatherings. 3. Someone from the system who oversaw renting the spaces called me and indicated that I should sign on because the spaces were running out. I later learned that not only were the spaces not running out, there were a few empty units. The person who called me was eager to get the space rented due to the receipt of a bonus. I paid for time we didn't use the unit to save the space (I believe the unit was empty 10 days before we were prepared to move in). The unit was very nice as was the person who signed us in ( not the same as the person who called to encourage us to move in before we were ready).

2 months into our lease they took the three meals a day that were agreed to in the lease down to 20 meals a month. They also stop serving hot breakfast 3 days out of the week and wanted to charge residence and additional $[fee removed] for every meal beyond 20 for the month. don't know if they had an ownership change or management change but the kitchen staff was cut from 8 down to 2. The hours were cut down for meals as well. Also long time staff were replaced.
