The Arbor Company

It's on the east side of Spartanburg. It was nice but the only thing they had available was upstairs and mom would have had to use and elevator. She wouldn't have been able to do that. I liked it and if I could have gotten a room closer to the dining room I would have considered them.

We liked Arbor Terrace but the personnel at another place seemed more initmate, if that makes sense. At Arbor Terrace the people were very nice and very professional but the other place felt like walking into a family home.

I think it's overpriced. I don't take part in any of the activities. There's plenty but I'm just not interested. The food service is great but the quality of the food is not. The menu is very repetetive. For breakfast there is one cereal that is sugar free. Everything else has sugar. They obviously don't spend enough money on the quality of the food. I have an apartment that is really nice. The accommodations are to my liking. I can do what I want.

It's a nice facility. It think everything sort of stacked up there except the general level of activities was not as enticing as where she did end up. The positive thing is there is a washer/dryer in the apartments. There are a lot of younger folks around and gas heating. The apartment units were very attractive. It was our second choice.

I visited the property and liked the Independent Living facilities. I will keep this option under consideration.

I really like this facility for my Uncle. The house decor was appropriate for a man. They have other Veterans as residents. variety of activities. The rooms are modern. The extra services offered would meet his needs. The environment was peaceful.

My sister is really enjoying it. The only current concern I have is her legs are swelling up and I'm not sure they're doing anything about it or can do anything about it - I don't know. The reason I wanted to get my sister in there is that she needs physical therapy and I don't see that going on. My sister seem to like the staff a lot and she likes the food. It's about $500 less than what she was paying before.

This facility was wonderful, just what I was looking for my father, I found it clean, location was very convient for family, dr's office for mmy father, they provided excellent contact info for getting assistance with setting up VA benefit. I like that assisted living and memory loss facility is in the same complex. very informative. They were very receptive to my wishes to first place father in CA, and use Va as last resort. This location has a service that will move...transfer new residence furniture/property into facility...that's a plus...however a little pricy

Not many residents seen in common areas. Smaller common areas throughout facility do not seem to lend to as much interaction between residents. Clean and well maintained. Pleasant and friendly staff.

I was impressed with the facility. Liked that they had both a large memory unit and special care unit. Price a concern; location not perfect, but better.

My husband and I was very impressed with Sudley Manor. The staff is very friendly and works well with the residents. The information shared with us was complete and informative. Our experience was pleasant. It was a bit of a surprise to hear that a nonrefundable deposit was required at acceptance. It was also vague as to the information I asked concerning "what happens when my Mom's condition worsens and she needs more assistance than offered. All in all, a very good experience.

Saw this. Liked this, near conservatory. Encourages "aging in place" so, no assisted living other than what you being in.

The Manor House is professionally managed and impressive. The room sizes are very generous and well kept. The Dining Room is very large with much space between tables, accomodating wheelchairs easily. The food is the best of all the assisted living facilities, according to the residents I spoke with. The residents I saw appeared comfortable and happy living here. I would revisit The Sudley Manor House to consider choosing it for my Mom.

Very Nice

Nice size rooms. Less staff per resident, but seems to be very open so easier to care for. Nice walking area outside with direct access for Alz - residents. Cost includes ALL care PLUS rides to doctor's office. Alz patients allowed to visit with Assisted Living.

They did some things well, and it was a clean facility. But we had some issues with our loved one's medication. Them not understanding her pain levels along with her Alzheimer's was not a good combination. We had to go around and around with them on that. But once hospice took over, it was a little more manageable. I would not recommend it for someone with stage 4 cancer with Alzheimer's. Other than that it was great.
