Everything is not milk and honey here, butI feel like I have a choice. I never thought I would end up in a place like this. I choose to be happy, and I concentrate on the things that make me happy. The people here are thoughtful and caring. The socialization is great.

Overall, my visit was pleasant. The Community Director was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering any questions. Additionally, she provided the extra information I had asked for. I do feel that the facility may be a little bit outdated, but the apartments were nice and I really loved the fact that some of the residents had gardens that the tended, since my mom loves gardening. The only thing I would recommend would be to increase the closet size during a remodel for some of the apartments because the only one that is large enough for most females are the larger 1 bedrooms. The community itself was busy and I always saw people playing games, talking with each other or just relaxing. I also really loved the rocking chairs out front on the way into the main lobby.

I had an enjoyable visit and appreciated the welcome. I talked with a resident who lives there and she told me how much she enjoys living there and how pleased she is with the amenities and services provided. However, this is a kind of scouting mission for me as I don't intend to move to the area for a few years. I presently live in a retirement facility in southern Oregon where I have a 2-bedroom apartment of almost 1000 square feet with a full kitchen. I found the Summerfield 2-bedroom apartments to be quite small and not suitable for all my crafting needs.

Her room was always kept clean. I sampled the food many times and it was almost always really good. There is always going to be something someone is not going like. But nit much at Sage Park. The chef is top notch. I was always impressed with the different ideas they came up with for fun activities. The director has a wonderful imagination. Much of the staff is very capable and passionate. I had some trouble with a couple of aides over the 7 months. When complained, my issues were addressed immediately. I did define the issues and suggested changes to resolve then. Wherever you go and there are many people on staff, you're always going someone else that lacks dome experience or whoever is just having a bad day. My wife became a very difficult and combative resident. It always took extra people to attend to her just so they could stay safe. It took a lot of patience to deal with her at times and most of t he aides were really sweet with her and knew how to control. The administration staff was always checking with us to make sure we were pleased with my wife's care. I'm not trying to say that there was never any problems but they made sure issues were addressed quickly.

All the staff are very pleasant and helpful, everything is kept very clean and the rooms are very nice and are a good size. Due to the nature of Alzheimer's the process of moving in and adapting is a constantly changing and difficult process but the staff at Juniper Glen try to be as helpful as possible. Juniper Glen has many activities to help keep the residents as engaged and busy as possible which set them apart from the other places that we had toured.

4 star overall rating. Due to grounds are under construction for beautification. Other than the construction, 5 stars would be for all other areas; staffing, food, apartment size, activities, amenities friendly and caring community amongst the residents and staff.

I was given a tour of this facility by its Executive Director. My dialogue with him and its Sales Director was straightforward and frank, which was very helpful. This place has seen better days in terms of condition of the building. My particular situation makes me decide whether to deal with MM almost entirely based upon the numbers, so I'm willing to lower my standards a little in order to get out from under an untenable mess I'm now in. The place was clean.

The units were small and didn't have kitchens. [name removed] gave me the tour and was very informative. The facility was clean, neat, and we'll organized. I was not impressed with the quality of materials in the apartments. The storage and closet space in the apartments is very limited.

It is just what they said it would be. The 2 BR apartment has about 1000 sq ft. The bedroom fits our King-size bed with room to move around it & space for a dresser. The half point off is for the "kitchenette." It has a sink & a fridge and a very small counter that won't fit our microwave. I'm not sure what I'll do about that - probably buy a smaller one & donate the full-size to Habitat for Humanity. We really appreciate having 2 bathrooms!. Meals are mostly well-planned and quite large enough. I don't appreciate biscuits & gravy for breakfast, but there are always eggs, bacon/sausage and cereal & fruit every day if one doesn't like the featured item. I think we are satisfied with our choice. Residents & staff are outgoing & welcoming. There are nightly movies and some kind of gentle exercise program every weekday morning.

There is always something. A meal he can go eat, an activity he can attend, a walk he can go on. To be fair it's a biased point of view I have because his living situation has greatly improved. This location and independent living has addressed some of the biggest problems he was having like food access and cleaning.

The person I met for the tour was very helpful and really enjoys her job. She showed me several units and well as the amenities. I think my relative could be happy there. I talked with several residence and 1 that was not but loved visiting her friend there.

Excellent meals, friendly staff. More activities would be appreciated. I would recommend Summerfield. Off the four independent adult living places I've lived in Summerfield, by far, surpasses all of them; friendlier staff, better food. They have ground down sidewalk "lips", thus eliminating tripping hazards. Merrill, on the other hand, recognized the lips as a hazard and painted the lips red, which were mostly faded to such a degree they were mostly invisible. I would like to add Summerfield has a much more varied menu than Merrill. Wait times between ordering and receiving your meal is usually few minutes at Summerfield. Wait times at Merrill often exceeded a hour. Summerfield had soup and salad bars, Merrill had neither.

The various all day scheduled activities for the residents and the balanced meals. I would recommend to others.

Staff is attentive, room is comfortable, resident population could be me active, but that's not Capital Place's fault. I would recommend to others.

If it were closer, it would have been in the running for our loved one. The only negative was we did smell urine in the common areas.

There have been several things they weren't very good about answering or addressing. Living so far away, there are questions I have and am dependent on them for answers.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Amenities include access to laundry rooms, weekly apartment cleaning, 3 meals a day with a range of options and daily specials, and numerous social activities. The studio apartment has a sufficient amount of space and storage, includes a small fridge and small sink.

[Name Removed] at Waterford was information and helpful. There is a large variation in floor plans at Waterford, creating a slightly different layout from the model visit to the actual apartment received (slightly different size, layout, amenities) [Name Removed] was responsive and flexible with helping us determine the best options for my parents.

Mom's care team has been great. The nurses are engaged with her and they reach out to me if needed. The head of nursing recognized that Mom would benefit from receiving hospice care and initiated the process for Care360 Hospice to provide additional support. The weekend receptionist, [name removed], has been very helpful as we adjust to this new environment for Mom, and head of maintenance [name removed] was great to work with when we moved furniture to the facility. My only real complaint is with the administrative staff, particularly the executive director [name removed]. She was slow to schedule the intake & evaluation process, which kept Mom in the hospital for 3-4 days longer than necessary. And it is difficult to get [name removed] to return calls. I was initially getting a weekly update call, but now I only get calls when there is a concern. I do visit Mom once a week on the weekends, but I don't always know how she's doing the rest of the time. I also don't get much guidance about how I can support Mom, such as if she would benefit from a certain type of clothing, toiletries, or personal items. I'm mostly happy with how things are going for Mom at Sage Park. And I know the staff is working hard to take care of some challenging situations. Our transition into memory care happened abruptly and unexpectedly, so it was a lot for me to process in a short amount of time. Ideally, it would be great if they had some additional administrative staffing, but I know that means more overhead expenses.
