It's been a month since my friend moved in to Desert Rose. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the entire property...inside and out. The meals are very good and the servers do their best to remember all the details for each resident. My biggest compliment for Desert Rose is that I could leave Yuma and go back home without worrying about my friend. The staff is trustworthy and caring. It's a challenging job to keep everything running smoothly with so many residents, but this staff is certainly up to the challenge. The negatives I encountered were few and nothing worth mentioning...just life.

Tour and lunch with Cathy Torbush was a delightful experience. One of the residents invited us to come up to the penthouse (10th flr.) to see her apartment. It was beautiful and spacious. Lunch with Cathy was great. We had the oppoortunity to meet and talk to the chef from New Orleans who was very friendly. All our questions were answered. Cathy also gave us a recommendation for someone in the estate sale business who could help us with the many things in our home that need to be disposed of in a way that would not be giving them away. Thanks again for the referral!

They've done a great job, they provide exceptional care here, I'd give them a 5 out 5. I really feel like they went out of their way to be accommodating, and I really can't think of anything else they could provide that they haven't already.

Its like being on a cruise ship. Food is the best. People great.

The residents and staff at the Clairmont are wonderful. It is wonderful the way they make sure Mom is included in the activities. She is very happy here.

The "studio" is a small 1bedroom with fully equipped kitchen. The first floor appt. has direct access to porch, yard and parking. Mom loves the 3 meals a day in the dining area and each meal is a social event. Staff are helpful. Home health service providers have easy and frequent access to help mom with prescribed needs.

They are very good at keeping the inside and outside of the community very clean and well maintained. The food is pretty good, and they are working everyday to make lunch and dinner better. Residents have reported to me that they do raise the rates every year or every other year. They have lots of excersize classes with various levels of vigor for the activities and they have outings, there is quite a lot to do. I am quite happy with it.

We are so delighted, they are amazing. Kelly Donovan with APFM is amazing, her heart and dedication to service was wonderful! If I could rate them above a five in everything I would. It is superb. It's the people who are running it they are really heart centered and every employee is positive and happy. The residents are happy. They have great problem resolution. They come to solutions for things in a really positive, heart centered way. The food is fabulous, they have a wonderful selection, the portion sizes are great, and they can order half servings if they want less. They are really accommodating, and they will feed the family as well, when they visit. Most places we visited had meal plans that were quite expensive on top of the rent, this is included and they always have fresh food and fruits.

Creekside Indepentent Living Community is a very family/friendly environment and their staff is very professional. Has awesome Christian values and makes everyone feel like family. It is always immaculately clean and smells wonderful -- it's like you are living on a cruise ship -- they have everything you need right there at the community. The staff is very helpful in every decision & choice you need to make for your loved one. This community is tucked away with privacy, but conveniently located to all the conveniences of Dallas & Hiram. I would highly recommend this community to everyone.

i really loved the tour of your great facility and i love all the great things that your facility has to offer. i wish there were more places like yours around so people can live in a better place.

My mom moved in a week ago and is already settling in well because of the wonderful staff who go out of their way to make sure she feels welcome and her needs are met. The staff definitely goes the extra mile in taking care of both physical and emotional needs. I've eaten there many times and have enjoyed the food. Mom has met many very friendly residents as well. I have true piece of mind that my mom is in a safe, reasonably priced place that she has already begun to call home.

They were able to get my dad a room on the spot, and we're very helpful with the process to get him set up. What i liked was the 3 meals a day are included, they have transport services on certain days of the week, and activities. Nice people, clean facility feels like a hotel. Definitely a place to check out.

From the first contact through A Place for Mom it was instant concern on their side and how they could help me. They reached out to make an appointment at any time and to come by with out one too. I met with one of the managers and she totally got it and was eager to help right away. Her emotional support made it easy for me as well. She showed me several apartments and understood our budget and was willing to work with me. The people that were living there also reached out and said welcome and all looked very happy to be where they were at. The apartments was clean and had welcome gifts and ready to go early when we needed to move in ahead of schedule. Great location and excelent food also helped with the trasition. Financially they were more concerned on getting my folks settled than the paper work side of it all and in fact moved them in prior to the final contract. That showed me that it was more important to settle them than "where is the deposit or bank acct. #" We have since moved in and been there 2 weeks now and they all know my parents name and apt. # and have assisted in making sure they come to dinner and have what they need. I can't say enough about the team there as they are in the right place to help others so God bless those who do!

Garden Way is the best! My mom has lived there since September and is loving it. I especially appreciate the staff for their kind support as she made the transition from her home to an apartment there. From the minute she moved in the staff made her feel like family; they did a great job of helping her build relationships with the other residents. She has made many new friends. I have enjoyed the food, (you order from a menu and the food is prepared exactly as you want) and service in the dining room. My grandchildren are welcomed and excited to visit because of the many toys available in the Kid's Playroom and of course they love the ice cream and cookies that are served each meal. There are many activities that she is able to participate in from exercise classes to Bible studies. She easily uses the provided bus transportation. Thank you Garden Way for providing a safe, secure place for my mom.

What a beautiful - heart centered facility! We found the residents as well as the staff quite happy and very helpful. It was beautiful - full of light and possibilities. The food was amazing! The options were fabulous to help support an active - vibrant lifestyle that my mother would enjoy. It was very clean and had lots of wonderful amenities that would make it a perfect solution for a home in a retirement community.

Placing my mother in assisted living was one of the most difficult decisions I ever made in my life, however, I see now it was one of the best. I cannot express in words the gratitude I have for the care the staff takes of my mother, they are wonderful and feel very blessed to have found this facility.

My mom seems to be liking it. She really likes the food, the place in general is very clean and neat. The people are very nice there. My mom can't really do activities, but they do have a lot of activities. She can do the ones in the building; they have card games, movies, puzzles, board games, exercise room, ice cream parlor, chapel, etc. They are a very nice facility. My mom has a one bedroom. The apartment that she has is laid out like the home that she just left, which made the transition easy for her.

They are fabulous. The value is really good. They don't really have care services, but they will always rush to help in an emergency. They have group events for the Duck games. They have sewing and craft rooms. They have a movie theater. They have an exercise room and exercise classes. They have ice cream events. They have a coca cola room where there is free ice cream 24 hours a day. They do trips all the time. They have a beauty salon and people coming in that do activities. We loved how clean it was. Brand new with marble counter tops. You can order from a menu for meals, and they always have a full soup and salad bar. It is very high class.

My grandmother seemed happy there. She moved in to be with a friend, but she eventually moved just because we all live out in Hillsboro. It is an older place, but very nice. My grandmother is very demanding and they were nice to her!
