I'd always like something cheaper but it okay. Desert Rose is a little more family oriented and close knit. They pay more attention to the actual people. Both my mom and dad will be moving in soon.

The staff was very accommodating and helpful. They worked with us to find the best fitting options for our situation. They have a variety of different options when moving in here, one that we really like was the option to chose how many meals you would like them to provide, so it keeps the cost down. They allowed us to stay at the community for a few days to get a feel for what they offered. The food here is very good and they have a variety of meals that they bring in but they also have a menu that the meals don't change. Once a week they have a produce truck come out to the community so the residents can buy some fresh produce. They have different levels of care so loved one are able to age in place. It is a high rise with about 9 floors but it is extremely easy to navigate. We are very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.

I am happy with what I see so far. My mom has not moved in yet, but the price is right, it is really nice, has a pool, and plenty of amenities. It is all inclusive except for the telephone (3 meals a day, etc.). The staff has been great and very helpful with questions and getting us set up. I find that they are less concerned with the sales pitch and more concerned with making you feel comfortable with their community. I liked that a lot. Other communities were less accommodating and more interested in just selling.

In November of last year, we had the opportunity of moving my parents into Dunwoody Pines. I have only one regret. I wish it would have happened 6 months earlier. Yes, it is a change of lifestyle. Nothing is like home but Dunwoody Pines is the closest to it. The meals are well prepared and with good flavor. Each Friday night is happy hour. Music lures people to the dance floor with tunes of yesteryear. My Dad looks forward to it each week for he states ' its good to see Helen bring back those dance memories from years back'. Light food accompanies the good dancing. If you want to be involved in activities, Dunwoody Pines is the place. There are very few moments that a resident cannot be involved in an activity. - both inside the facility and outside. It is nice to see residents take advantage of the exercises classes. Several different classes at that! All of this, mixed with visiting doctors, trips to the ball game, swimming pool exercise classes, creative writing classes, potting flowers, staff grill outs for residents, etc. A shuttle service will take residents to doctor appointments, grocery store visits, etc., Dunwoody Pines also appreciates it Veterans. Special recognition is given to those men and women several times a year. After looking at several Senior living locations, we chose Dunwoody Pines - a good choice.

This place was great. The apartments were larger and the rent was a lot less. I found the perfect apartment for my father and his pets. I am sure that my father will love it too.

The Director was very helpful. She provided an extraordinary tour of the facility. The information packet was excellent. I am very impressed with this facility.

Saw the apartment and absolutely love it. No dishwasher but does have air - yay!

My parents are moved into a lovely, light one bedroom apartment. I think it is going to be great!

This is our first and only choice right now. The entire family is sold except mom and we are trying to gently convince her to decide to move in.

This one is the ONE we think....long waiting list to get in and beautiful views from rooms, spacious apts and lovely friendly people. Good Food too! Need to check on VA Benefits though!

This facility has been pretty good so far. Housekeeping is good overall, mom's room is kept clean. Mom has had no complaints on the food and it looks like good quality from what I've seen. They do discourage eating with your loved one in the dining area so as not to be disruptive to other residents. They prefer you dine with them in a separate area. Mom has participated in some activities and they have a good variety. Communication with the family is good, I've been happy with it. The director sends a weekly email and I'm also able to schedule meetings with the nurse. The staff are very personable and try to work with me on specific needs for mom. Mom has difficult behavior with her dementia and it's hard to find a place that can work with that. They use Teepa Snow's approach for dementia care here and I was very impressed with that. The staff is trained very well, even housekeeping has been trained and knows how to use a careful approach. Of all the facilities I toured, this is the only one trained specifically for dementia care. If I had dementia and had to be somewhere, this is where I would want to be. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I toured this facility and it was nice. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean. Ultimately, we chose another place closer to home. Distance was a big factor in our decision and this facility was a little bit further from home than we were looking for.

Marshall Pines is great. I would recommend it!

They are missing a few key employees here but once they get fully staff it will really help out, but I sure would recommend this community to other families.

Sales manager is great. Very helpful. Makes living here eventful.
