We chose Sunrise of Mt. Vernon because of the cleanliness, layout of the facility, staff ratio, and proximity to my home. The staff are very caring, helpful, and friendly. The Remembrance Unit is very well organized,

We love how Sunrise makes grandma feel at home and we love even more how often they have events for us to come enjoy with her.

Everyone has been so kind, friendly, and loving. My dad has received great care in the 3 years he has lived here. We are very thankful.

My brother and I supported our sister's move to Sunrise at Sterling Canyon. She told us we found the best place for her in the transition to assisted living. She enjoys the activities, the food, and the care she is receiving.

The staff is really great and nice too! The whole experience is new to my lifestyle because I had a below the knee leg amputation which has required me to learn a new way to live! The staff has taken me under their wing and made the transition much easier and their kindness is genuine!

My folks have only been here for a few months. Moving from the home they lived in for 64 years. They couldn't be more happy which has been my biggest hope for them. Sunrise was a perfect place for my mom who suffered from dementia. I always felt like she was well cared for and her needs were being met. Every worker was pleasant and attentive to make her feel at home. Her room and clothing were always clean. I, as a visitor, always felt welcome and was informed about my mother's care. I would highly recommend it.

I picked this community because of the location, cost, overall feeling when visiting Sunrise and the longevity of staff.

My family’s experience with Sunrise of McLean Village has been exceptional. The facility is great and the staff are caring and passionate about helping take care of the residents. Credit goes to [name removed], the Executive Director, who has hired outstanding staff. Together, the staff and facility create a really positive atmosphere. My kids really like visiting too because they can get a bag of chips, play ping pong, and play in the courtyard. They (and my mom) also love joking around with Ash Nabizad with sales, who my 5 year old wanted to invite to Christmas. I have no complaints!

Living far from the facility, I really liked the communication from the staff. My dad was not able the express himself well in the end and the staff was great with updates and keeping us aware of anything we could provide to make his days nicer. My dad was previously at another memory care facility in the area, where surprisingly they treated all the unfortunate quirky of this conditions as impositions and hassles, whereas Sunrise of Hermosa was very kind, professional and understanding. It was such a treasure to have found a place that really knows how to care for their residents! The only negative had nothing to do with the care, which was amazing. The accounting staff is not very good. It was difficult to actually speak with the personal. More than a week of daily voice messages were never returned. This happened several times. Finally had to resort to speaking with the director on multiple occasions. The billing was easy if nothing changed, but when refunds were due, due to extended hospital stays, it took MONTHS, and the assistance of my accountant to get the issues resolved and the appropriate credit applied to the account, only to have the same scenario happen a few weeks later. The fact that the corporation accounting happens off site and depends on timely and accurate info from the individual facility definitely complicated the process. The director was very accessible, but the system had flaws and required the payee to catch the over billing, which happened often.

I would definitely recommend this facility. The staff are excellent! From what I've been told, the food is not always great. They have tons of activities for the residents to o participate in.

What I like most is that the staff are very friendly and communicate monthly with me. I don't like how expensive it is, of course.

I am a new resident. Have been here for about a month and couldn’t be happier. Anything you need they have for you with the great staff and everyone here to give you what you need. I can everything on my own time and don’t have to worry anymore.

I have visited many communities but Sunrise of McLean village is absolutely beautiful and amazing staff. Sunrise of McLean Village has made me feel welcome everytime I walk through those doors. Glad to be apart of this family.

As it turned out, the initial choice in memory care for our loved one was not the best fit. Enter Sunrise at Canyon Crest. Their incredibly supportive team (all staff!) anticipated needs to provide a thoughtful transition. The change in our loved one’s demeanor was palpable from day one. She is now thriving within a shared community that provides a safe, stable and nurturing environment through consistent care and communication, and where she is living her best life.

The Director’s style is positive, concerned and responsive; His leadership and responsiveness to family concerns is reflected in similar attitudes by the entire community. Nursing is well-organized and responsive, with some outstanding individuals. The front desk is courteous and pleasant. The aides in the Reminisces memory unit deliver conscientious, consistently good care of our mother.

The front door staff is so welcoming and friendly to both the resident and families. The meals and serving staff makes everyone happy with the choices. The front courtyard is a great place to have family and friends easily gather and visit.

Wonderful facility in a good location! Large rooms, high ceilings, lots of big windows provide more space & light than competing communities. Tour was thoroughly informative

Amazing staff. They treat you better than family. Couldn’t have been more helpful when our grandfather passed.
