They dont provide the level of care or assistance they claim to. Many of the activities listed on the calendar dont happen or are cancelled at the last minute. They do not do the residents laundry or clean rheir rooms as scheduled.

I had such high hopes for this place but it turned out to be a very huge disappointment. I saw 3 executive directors come and go in less than a year. That should have told me something. There seems to be a big disconnect from the top down administration and they seem to only care about making more money and ripping off the poor residents. You get this great sales pitch and a low price when you come in and then BANG! Every month the bill comes and the price keeps increasing!! When I would call to question it, I was told my mother's needs changed. In a month!! This went on for almost a year till I felt that it was time to take her out and I'm very happy that I did. No one from the administrative staff ever reached out to me to discuss other options. There was such a lack of caring at the top levels. Administration needs to be more sensitive to the needs of the residents and their families. We are struggling with parents with different levels of Alzheimer's and to have to deal with cold, inconsiderate staff who only worry about the almighty dollar is disheartening and sad!

Place started out great and 5 years later is going downhill. Hasn't been the same. Staff is not as attentive and these people are paying a fortune to live there.

I feel that this place was not what I had expect. When I was told of all the many benefits I would receive as part of my plan, were very false. When I signed the contract I was told I would have my very own personal care attendant whom I would meet with every week and would be in charge of my health care. Well, I have never heard of or obtained any information as to who this was .Also when I move in my move in was about $6,000 per month and then instantly the next month the bill was tripled , costing me almost sixteen thousand the following couple months, but I still have yet to find out why it was so high. making it well over 16,000.This was not any kind of experience I wanted to be apart of, so at thus point I have searched out my other options and have decided l relocate away from here. This place is a scam . Very mad and unhappy with overall experience.

This was an expensive mistake for us to pick Huntcliff Summit to care for our mother. They told us all the good things to get her into the facility and could not follow up or implement. The staff is good, just not enough to go around. They only have what is required by law and that is it. I was constantly having to ask and ask for simple thing to be done, like making sure she was check in frequently since her "button" never seemed to work. I was told that a 20 minute wait after her button called someone was acceptable, if they even heard it. She was in hospice and they still sent her to the hospital. I have since moved her out to another facility. Money was not the problem but you their service didn't need my moms requirements. I had to hire personal sitters 24 hr a day until we had enough and moved her. I truly and honestly cannot recommend the facility to anyone. It looks pretty but their services are not good at all.

Wasn't very impressed, parking was awful, didn't seem as nice as The Silverado. Didn't get a comfortable feeling.

When I went to Sunrise I was expecting a residential type setting. Something with individual apartments, activities, a nice dinning room and social are. I found it to be more of a nursing home style set up. I was hoping for something where my mom could have her own apartment, maybe with a half kitchen where she could have a fridge and sink. The facility was ok overall, but not what I was looking for.

The facility itself is great, but in memory care, the service is not good if more care is needed. They have no problem charging for more care, but do not deliver. Poor communication between accounting/managing staff and caregivers to ensure extra care is given when it is being charged. As both my parents are there, and one needs more care than the other, it is obvious that little to no extra care is given to the one that needs it. The room smells of urine at all times because depends are not changed and often pads (chux) are not used though they have been specified.

We were promised a certain deal and we were even called by Gayton Terrace to tell us that corporate had ok' the deal. We moved our Father in law in and suddenly the deal was void. The director even called us to say the deal was void. We already moved in and then was told about the renig.

my father was there for over a year and as his condition declined so did the care he received. If your loved one needs more then just overseeing then plan on going elsewhere.

The front desk staff do a pretty good job. But otherwise there is chronic rapid turnover of staff. Few last longer than a year. They were not successful getting my mom out of her room and integrated into the community. They ask her if she wants to go to the dining area for meals and she routinely declines, but if simply told, "It is time to go eat" she will join them. The problem is that the staff keep asking rather than telling her it is time to go. Mom rarely goes on any outings or participates in any activity. The nursing staff do not pay attention to detail and I've had to remind them repeatedly to give medications. Had to have some of her medications changed from give "as needed" to routinely given every 12 hours because they would only ask the patient if she hurt and wanted pain medication rather than evaluate her level of pain and decide. They routinely mix up her laundry. They charge >$5000 monthly and want me to bring gloves, antiseptic wipes, and Depends. Too pricey combined with crummy service by and large. Hallways and common areas usually look clean, but rooms get filthy. There are always dirty dishes in her sink.

If your loved one has a tendency to escape, then sunrise is not the place for them. I wish I had known that before we tried sunrise because my mom got out and they lost her. We needed a one floor memory care only facility with no fire exit doors. If I had known that in advance we wouldn't have had to move her in and then back out of Sunrise and onto another place.

I honestly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My grandmother had minimal care even though she was paying close to [Amount removed] a month. Next after she passed away we immediately cleaned out her belongings so they would stop charging her room. They charged her an extra $[Amount Removed] and refused to give it back even though there was proof that they over charged her. The only members of staff I will praise is the memory care activity director and the head director of memory care

Torn and filthy patio furniture. Carpets were Never cleaned in the four months we were there. Housekeeping showed up less than half the time and they had so many excuses for Not being there. Notified that the van driver was no longer there. Flower pots totally ignored For Months until The owner was visiting. It was awful. Ironically when the owners were scheduled to visit they cleaned the carpets but only in the portion of the hallway with the elevator. Turn the corner and the spots were basically down the entire hallway. Not cleaned for months. I really wanted a place that would work but this was such a miserable experience, I decided to move back to a regular apartment and do everything myself. It's exhausting and not any cheaper but at least it's cleaner.

They told me they had many things that they did not have. Like a rehab room and a Parkinsons disease specialist. In addition, they said that they had a Doctor there daily. She was not a Dr, she was a PA and only came once to twice a week via appointment. My dad had issues breathing at night and there was no one to care for him. Lastly, they told me they could handle his condition. They say anything to get your loved one there. Not only were they not able to handle his condition and he got very sick but they messed up his medication and lost his intake sheet. He was missing 15 out of the 17 medications he was on. He ended up with a blood clot in his lung because he wasn't getting his blood thinners.

Overall, my POV is during the sales process. Things were oversold and ultimately under delivered. I repeatedly escalated for clarity on the timing and frequency of the things that were discussed and was given the runaround and ultimately never given the information. We asked simple questions like when will bathing be for this week and how often will it be? I spent over two hours on the phone escalating for over a week and was never given an answer.

We had a tour scheduled and it seemed that they didn’t even know we were coming. She then said that she was double booked and asked if we could reschedule for the next day. I drive 2 hours to tour the facility so that was not a possible alternative! So, the receptionist gave us a tour but didn’t know the answers to some of our questions! Very, very disappointed! But, the facility was nice.

She was not receiving the level of care that we were paying for we were paying an additional[Amount Removed] per day for her to have 1 on 1 feedings, she was not receiving this and lost nearly 20 pounds when I pointed it out complained, it took more than 3 weeks for the executive director to respond. The response was to have the activities. Director feed her and a couple other clients at the same time.\n Her regular staff was unaware that she was supposed to be receiving 1 on 1 feedings. Also Several times when I was there, my mother pulled the cord to indicated she needed help with bathrooming and it would often take app to 20 minutes for someone to respond a couple of times I went out to find someone to help my mom only to see a worker. In a room full of 15 residents with their eyes glued to their phone more. When my brother was there And my mom needed help He saw one of the workers sleeping. AND her emergency call pendant was not usable and three different people told me that they would "person take care of it."

I found the staff to be indifferent for the most part and the management lacking any compassion at all. As for the food, I would not consider what was served there to be anything more than dessicated pet food. I was told I could not remain in the room while my loved one was prepared for bed because of concern for the patients's privacy. I think this ridiculous explanation had more to do with what they prefer to keep hidden, ie, gross incompetence. I would like to add that my loved one contracted MRSA and pneumonia during his two week stay there and spent one week in the hospital as a result. Maybe hedge funds and private equity should reap their fortunes in an area where the elderly are not put at risk.

I would give a zero if I could. I have been in several assisted living conditions, and that was by far the worst I have ever been in! The staff was terrible. They were rude, and you never had enough they ignored call lights the food was a nightmare. Administrative staff were mean! They were very unkind and unsympathetic I would never ever ever recommend that place to anybody!
