Can't see that they're offering anything different than the next place but their price is just too high. The price I was quoted was the starting rate based on a system of care levels starting at 5,700.00 I was told you could max out up to 7,700 per month at the highest care level. This fee is based on their memory unit.

Did not like this place. Too small and homey. sicker people. Minimal outdoor space. We prefer a larger Jewish balance of clientele if possible also.

This is pretty much just for Alzheimer's and Dementia, it was hard to be social. Their dining was awful, people would be yelling across the room, and there wasn't enough staff or well enough trained staff to handle it. The billing is so screwed up, I am still working on this after we moved out. They had just changed ownership and a lot of the employees are jumping ship. They did have a bus with a lift to go on outings, that was the one good thing.

Visited Sunrise at Paoli and could see at once it is for people who can't cook their own meals and are pretty inactive.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. I did not like what I saw of this community during our tour. It looked a bit run down, and there was a noticeable smell.

Made two visits - did not like the living environment. The caregivers were 'sitting' and not 'caring' for the residents in our opinion.

I was impressed when walking into this facility; however, when touring the rooms, I thought it was quite dark and gloomy in the halls. If a senior had any confusion they wouldn't know how to get around. Too large of a place for my mom.

They weren't able to care for my loved one. It's a beautiful facility, the food was fine, but the care was not. The staff to patient ratio was not good. If you are considering this community, think about how much help your loved one needs and how much staff is there. I didn't think that they had enough activities, they had a few, but not enough. I felt like my loved one was isolated a lot of the time.

My loved one was here for quite a while, and our experience was not a positive one. There were significant lapses in her care, and my loved one's doctor said they were very poor at responding to his attempts at communication. This community was also very expensive and by the end of her stay they had tacked on so many extra services that the charges were getting astronomical. And despite the premium price the facility did not have any sort of 24 hour medical staff, only med techs in the nights and evenings. They seemed to go through management very quickly, as well. There was a new director every year, which was really disruptive to the community as a whole. I would not recommend this facility at all.

My loved one was here for less than one month, because it turned out that they could not provide the level of care that would meet her needs. After the assessment, we were given a monthly price and signed a contract. Within the first three days they determined that my loved one needed services that were not included in the monthly fee, and started charging an hourly rate for "additional services" that were never mentioned might be needed during the assessment. If they had determined that my loved one needed these additional services in the beginning it would have been obvious that this was not the right community for her. Our family was financially blindsided and I would recommend that if you are considering them as an option, you think of every scenario you can and ask them what type of extra fees might be charged.

There have been a lot of problems and the family has made many comments and requested to have the bathroom clean, it doesn't get done. They want to charge more for the things they are already paying for and not getting. He's dirty, the beds dirty, the bathroom is dirty. There have been issues with medication management. It's beautiful and the people seem to be nice, but they just don't seem to do their job. If you don't have a lot of problems it would be ok, but the care is just not there.

price prohibitive, lack of hallways to ambulate

I have had a hard time with communication, the marketing side was always ready to take my call but getting in touch with a nurse is much more difficult. There are a lot of little hidden charges. They said they encourage the residents to come to meals, but fail to mention the encouragement is charging six dollars everytime to bring up a meal. They do an evaluation every thirty days of each resident and I can't get anyone to get back to me about this. All of the food is sodium free and low fat.

Some thing just didn't click here. We didn't like the rooms. And, honestly, the person that met with us was not quite as polished as the others.

Mark, who greeted us and showed us around was most helpful in answering my many questions. The cottages were a good alternative to apartments in the main building, and we enjoyed our noon time meal. However, those living there were not very active and when shown several of the common areas for group activities, no one was there. I also observed on two different days that staff parked their cars in front of curb cuts designed for wheel chair and walker access to the sidewalks. Although the areas were clearly marked NO PARKING, the staff member's car parked there just the same. When I pointed this out to the staff member in question, he made no effort to move his car. This says a lot about how staff feel about the residents. This is not the place for my wife and I.

1 bedrms are too expensive. Studios won't work. Info was good, but the expense didn't seem worth it.

Older community of a Sunrise. Same warm, cozy common areas and rooms. Rooms for Assisted Living are all studios and a bit run down. Staff is nice, however, I feel too young to be engaging with this generation of assisted living residents. Outside areas are ok, but have to walk through messy storage areas to get there. Not very secure. Higher priced for what you're getting.

We had our loved one here temporarily while one of our family members was recovering from surgery. It was a nice enough looking place, it was cleaned and had well looked after grounds. However, the lack of employee presence and supervision is what really struck me here. The dementia and memory care patients were on a secure floor, but they were allowed to wander freely on that floor. When I was visiting my mother other male and female residents would just wander in and out of her room. When we were moving her out at the end of her stay we found some of her clothes were missing and other peoples clothes were in her drawers. It all left a bad taste in my mouth, and we would not have been comfortable with Mom being here on a long term basis.
