Very expensive but good care asfar as i can tell problem is i have experience with a lot of theses places

I toured Sunrise while looking at options for my husband. This place scared me. I saw residents right out in the front lobby crying, staring at walls, and sitting idle. I knew right away that this was not the kind of place I wanted him to be in.

The minute we walked in this community we felt very uneasy. The man who was filling in for the director seemed to try to overly impress us and it was very fake feeling. The people didn't look happy there. The man also talked to the staff with disrespect and I didn't like that. Just by my 1st impression i would rate them a 2. Where there should have been aides around because lots of residents were alone they were nowhere in sight.

Small intimate community. Staff is very attentive and well engaged with residents. Good level of care and good exercise class. Community too small for my parents and insufficient ethnic mix. Food was average.

After explaining what sort of care my mother was in need of this community told us they wouldn't accept her. The staff was worried that she would get out and take off. The community itself was smaller than others we had looked at. The staff at least was honest and upfront about what level of care they would provide but it was still shocking to be told they wouldn't accept your loved one.

We had a decent tour of this community, but it was not the right fit for my mother in law, and her needs. The atmosphere in the community was like a hospital. I didn't think the staff was friendly. I did find another community that suited our needs better overall.

My parents were in this community for about a week. We had some issues during their time in this community. There are some improvements this community need to make. One of the issues we had was communication issues. We had some issues with my fathers medication, and also understanding the routine around the community. I feel they need to be more organized.

Our stay was short, and I got the feeling that this would not have worked out or been a good experience. It's a beautiful place, and most of the people are friendly, but within 3 weeks we were already having communication issues, especially with medications. The director is a very nice lady but I personally think she's too young and inexperienced. I have heard a couple of other people pulling their loved one out. It's expensive, there were belongings and tables missing. All in all I do not recommend them.

So far the new transition is going well for my parents. They are liking it but it is a little small for them. My dad doesn't like the noise from the busy road that is located outside their apartment. They have been happy with the food, it is fantastic. The people are good here

This is a nice community, and my tour of it went okay. The staff was very friendly, and nice. I did notice that the cleanliness of the community was a little dirty. The appearance of the community could had been better.

Me and my family went to take this tour and we just did not like this community. The staff were nice and they were helpful, but we just did not feel that this would have been the place for my dad to thrive in.

My mother was here for rehabilitation. They discharged here because they said she couldn't do the physical therapy because of a shattered leg and not being able to put weight on it. After discharged and upon being admitted to another care center we found out it was in her orders from her doctor to do weight therapy. The care was not consistent. The response time could have been faster, it would take 10-15 minutes sometimes. Also after discharge they were supposed to get her a medical bed and it took two months. I don't think I should have to pay for the charges we accrued here because they didn't do anything to help her.

The facility is nice. They are just under staffed. Residents will pull the alert button and it can be up to an hour at times before you see a caregiver. They take on patients who require a lot of care but do staff accordingly. This would be a good "independent living" facility but if you need much assistance look elsewhere.

Sounds lovely but too expensive.

I placed my father here for respite with intentions to place. While he was happy the first week there, it went downhill. Aides are often not available or seen during visits which raises concern over the care of a resident if an "episode" should occur. Clothing and bedding that were "laundered" were found to be dirty, soap not rinsed from the articles and still stained. Drawers in common suites dirty. Articles such as glass vases were accessible for residents to use as "weapons" or worse yet as a means to hurt themselves verses being stored away. My father had been transferred out to the ER, due to an incident arising from not getting his medications timely and the family was not notified. He had not been shaved for over a week prior to that nor bathed. Unless you want to manage your family members care 24/7, or the resident can talk for themselves, place your loved one some place else. Not worth the money they demand for their "service."

We should have not moved my dad into this community. I was lead to believe they would be able to provide a high level care. I was there for a whole week to monitor him. It was a nice place and they have caring staff but it is important to understand what is the real need to move in and to determine what the needs are. What was available and said to be provided was not followed through. They did not have enough staff.

I had very disappointing experience with this community. They did not provide my mother with good care. I felt like I had too watch over my mother to make sure she was being cared for well. It was not a good fit for my parents, and their needs.

While this is an independent living facility, it feels more like an assisted living facility without the healthcare oversight. All meals are provided in the dining room. Inits do not have full kitchens - no full stove. Rooms do not have washers and dryers - there is a shared laundry room for the floor. It is priced more like assisted living.

Too expensive Who in this day and age can afford 13 thousand a month for just basic care
