Sunrise Senior Living

We were only here for a short time. This wasn't really going to work for us, my loved one just needed more care. They were nice people here, but it just wasn't what we needed. It has taken a while to get the final bill finished.

They have a lack of communication Sunrise Of Arlington, from the front desk and the appointments that get made. The caregivers are very lax at this facility. I have had so many issues I wouldn't really recommend this place.

They are very friendly with everything. I would say there are a lot of times when there is miscommunication as far as getting things done. Sometimes they are slow to take care of things, so I haven't been 100% satisfied with the care, I think they could be a little more organized and structured with that.

Overall our experience with Sunrise of Plainview has been a fairly good one. It is a nice looking place, and the people here are very friendly. I think the aide staff, and the people who work directly with the residents, do a wonderful job. However, I do think that the management could step up and be slightly more involved and interactive with the residents.

They do not provide transportation to doctor appointments. [removed]

This is a very nice facility but way to intense for my mom's needs at this point. She needs more independence than this option offers.

It's a place to go when you are really old, or need a lot of care. The rooms are tiny, but, this would be my choice if we needed care. This seems like where you go while you wait for hospice. It's nice and clean. There is no shuttle service, though, and it's just not a very socially active community.

I would say they definitely need to improve on their kitchen help and timeliness of serving meals. Their turnaround rate seems to be going out the window lately. I don't even know who the managers are half the time because each time I go down there it seems like there is someone new taking over.

The biggest problem is they are way understaffed and the few amount of people that are there are doing a little bit of everything. Bottom line is they are understaffed. The food is horrible. They let my dad's medicine run out. They are just not at all on top of their game and it's because they don't have enough people. I'm really disappointed.

The facility at Bear Canyon Estates was quite lovely. My mother really enjoyed the food and all the staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful.

I had a mixed experience with Sunrise At La Costa. I brought my grandmother there and it turned out not to be a good fit for her. They were not very good at communication. It was very hard to get a hold of anyone. I would leave messages and never hear back. They did not do a good job keeping me informed of how grandmother was doing, which was very important to me. It ended up not being a good fit for us.

This facilty was nice but we rated it fourth for two reasons. The cost were too high and when we checked ther inspection history, they had several issues identified with penalties.

This was a nice well kept facility but it did have a lingering odor. We did feel that if mom were to live her they would be able to care for he. It is spacious and the staff we met were friendly.

We didn't stay here long. They were very expensive. The rooms were smaller for more money. The people were excellent, we didn't have any complaints about the people. This just wasn't a good match for our budget.

We've only been here a short time, but overall I would say that they do a good job at Sunrise of Fleetwood. It is a nice looking place, and for the most part the staff are friendly and helpful. However, one area I'd like to see them improve is their food. I haven't been very impressed, and none of the longer term residents I've spoken with have had good things to say about it either.

Many problems were not addressed and still are not addressed in her apartment. She was seated with people who were not at the cognitive level she was at which depressed her. She is unfortunately not happy there.

2/3 Assisted living, 1/3 Memory care. The facility was smaller, with less to offer, smaller grounds, no pool, no exercise facility, all therapy must be done in the apartments. There was a $10 charge to have meals delivered to the room, and a $25 charge for transportation beyond a 5 mile radius, with restrictions on when appointments could be made (example, doctors only on Mondays, and groceries only on Thursday, etc.). Doors to common patios were locked and alarmed even in the assisted living areas. That could be a problem for my loved one. Standard cable provided, expanded is an extra charge.

There many people to speak with at this facility regarding care. It can be a little confusing as to who is the correct person to speak with. My mother has been there a short time, and they have already told us they need to raise her level of care. The next level of care is much more expensive than the current level, and although we question the decision, there is really no much we can do to change anything.

Relatively small, kind of dark and the feeling it could use some freshning up. Rooms we were shown were fine size-wise but also looked a little dated, hallways were a little stale too. Kitchen was well stocked and clean, as was the dining room.

I feel like we were mislead at first about the cost on medication management. In their hand out it says they charge 14$ a day for medication management. What they don't tell you is that its only for 7 medications. They didn't go into any details. I feel like the food is good but the service needs improvement. The accounting department can't get the bills right. Other than that, my mother is happy there. The people are friendly. The facility is bright and cheery.
