We loved the place initially, but my loved one didn't stay there long. My loved one ended up in the hospital and didn't want to go back. My loved one never told us why they didn't want to go back. The staff at this community tried to get the information from my loved one and they refused to state why they wanted to leave. My loved never one never participated in the activities, but they had a nice selection of activities.

They do a good job entertaining the residents and keeping them engaged. I have questions about care when I am not there. The room sizes are good for what they need. My dad is in Memory Care. Memory care food is no as good as Assisted Living food. They have an outdoor space for residents to use.

I like my room and the management by the food is terrible and the kitchen doesn’t care we have the same menu time after time. I think corporate should work here and see how things work It is obvious you think of as only money the place is loosing people left and right the rent increase is Ridiculous we get a Very small increase and you charge 5 percent but don’t improve the food. It is too expensive and the food is bad no wonder people are moving out like crazy

My biggest complaint is the food choices are always the same every week. We use to get breakfast burrito made with sausage and eggs and flour tortilla not the orange. Bean burrito. Made with white tortillas and rice and a vegetable. Sandwich’s have to not be on wheat berry bread. I am allergic to the nuts and berry. Need a variety of veggies not the same broccoli string beans peas and carrots and corn My house keeper could be a lot more efficient with getting the dust off floor and mop the floor with not so much Clorox.

In the residents's rooms, it doesn't seem like they are cleaning thoroughly enough. The overall community is pretty clean, however. The staff is pretty friendly, however they do seem to have a lot of turnover. It seems like when you just start to get used to the staff, they end up leaving. From the director down to the aids all end up leaving quickly. Sometimes, they do seem forget things when they are bringing the residents food, like silverware, which would seem like a fairly obvious thing to bring. It does seem like they offer quite a bit of activities available for the residents to participate in. It does seem like sunrise is a good value for the price. At some communities, there is a central nursing station where you can ask for assistance with things. Because Sunrise doesn't have that, it can be a bit hard to coordinate or request care. Ensuring proper care does require a lot of follow up.

The community was clean, although sometimes they would mix up the residents' clothes in the laundry. The staff was a bit of a mixed bag, some of the staff were good and some not quite as good. We thought they could have all used more training with memory care; some of the care giving staff didn't seem to understand the needs of the memory care residents and didn't know how to talk to them. They also really lacked activities and didn't have trained people doing the activities so we didn't feel they were adequate. They were also understaffed quite often. Because of this, we felt they were over charging us for the care especially since we didn't think there was physically enough space for the memory care residents.

Everyone at the community was very accommodating and very nice. They were all very friendly. The medical office was not as communicative as they promised they would be. It felt a little bit like they didn't want to help me with assisting my friend with her needs. Some of the aids, however were absolutely phenomenal. Some of the food was pretty good, not great, and some of the wait staff were very good as well. They encouraged the residents to participate in group activities. The director was pretty accessible if I needed anything.

The staff is very nice and they do try to do a lot. They have been doing the best they can during the Covid-19 pandemic. The food according to my dad is so-so. They are pretty ok with keeping the community clean.

The main issue was the food. The wait staff and the cook were in constant turnover. The maintenance man was on top of things and helpful. The housekeeping was alright. We didn't get along with manager. The apartment was good, but there that were on the north side of the building and you could not drown out the traffic and construction noise. I think, overall, I was fairly content with them being there. The residents were nice and friendly.

Website says no health services. Double check. Help with meds fine. There is a nurse that comes in. Beyond that will have to use home health care or va nurse. Transportation within 10 m radius provided. Independent living only. Several folks using wheelchairs and walkers. saw one person possible in 60s or 70s up and walking around, but at that time, not many people out and about. Some still work, with a spouse that needs care giving, so they like the meals and housekeeping service. Very old building with peeling on the floors and a musty scent. But it nevertheless looked clean. Dining area very nice. Activities provided, not as extensive, of course, as Assisted Living. Residents I met seemed quite happy. $2,000 is best value of all! Surrounding neighborhood older but nice,and amazingly peaceful for being so close to Colfax. Pet friendly. Courtyard is all cement with outdoor fireplace and planters. Surrounding grounds limited but nice. Parking garage underneath. Sales manager very kind. Workout room with exercise classes and stretching. Home health care comes every day and is very reasonably priced for those that need it. Closest to VA hospital. Could work for Skip. 18 mo. Lease required, then month to month after that. Close to train. Group of guys that likes to get together and go out, or hang out, lives there according to her. 1/3 men and quite a few vets. Rent goes up appx $100/year But that can be negotiated somewhat. 2000 forvery small studio, 2700 for nice 2 br with stove.

We really enjoyed meeting with [name removed] and feel like Sunrise would provide a better level of care than Brightview Rolling Hills. We felt that the spaces reserved for memory care residents was more of a retrofit. The personal rooms were larger than what these people need and all had kitchenettes, which our mom doesn't need/use. The common areas seemed dark, and we didn't see many aides interacting with the residents. There were lots of little sensory areas, but those seemed like catch-alls for cleaning equipment, lifts, walkers, etc. We saw no one using any of those spaces.

Clean place. [Name removed] was very nice, answered all my questions. But the rooms were smaller than I wanted. Residents didn't seems engaged in activites (could have been the timing). There was a faint odor on the memory care floor

Older community that needs to be updated. Very little parking space for visitors. Rooms only had a single bathroom-style sink for use as a kitchen sink and bathroom sink, very strange. Very pet friendly, have a community dog. Residents seemed happy and healthy. Nice large deck space.

Small facility, friendly staff, no closets $6000/month

Not a good fit for us. The overpowering smell of chemical air fresheners made it impossible to breathe while we were there. We had to leave before we finished our visit.

Older facility. Their processes are different than Sunrise of Schaumburg. Out of state assessments are not allowed. Staff was very friendly. Smaller community.

I appreciate [name removed] giving my Dad a great tour. My Dad's main concern was the expense. There was no parking and the facility looked older than the others toured. A plus is that there is a YMCA six blocks away.

I have lived here at Greeley Place for many years. I have enjoyed most of these years. I have seen an overall decline in the services offered and the overall community atmosphere. They appear to be catering more to a less independent group of people. I would consider it to be more of an assisted living arrangement with extra services for a price. The use of so many motorized assistive devices makes for difficult access to the only elevator in the building. The staff is great but are hindered by the limited number of them and the services requested in the extremely insufficient amount of time they are allotted. They do offer an emergency call system by Great Call. Given the limited number of options in the northern area of the state, it is the best option. Other than the turnover of staff the service is great. The service of meals is a long process. There is plenty of time for socialization. The number and variety of activities is exceptional. The extra support services and therapy services are excellent. The food choices and quality of food is good now, but is not always the case which again depends on staff. The management is in control of overall community climate and again is subject to staffing patterns. Again, the best choice in Greeley, but much room for improvement.

When my mom moved into Stratford in 2013 I would have given this a 5 star review in all areas. But over the past 3 years or since new owners took over my family is very disappointed in the overall quality in all areas. The main areas where guests see are kept up for a good impression. But the apartments are not at all maintained the way we would have hoped for this rental that increases each year. House keeping is minimal, carpets are only cleaned once a year or if requested spot cleaned. Painting is once a year if that. They tell me there is only one painter for ALL the units. We have requested spot touch ups for over a year! My mom’s apartment does not appear fresh and clean. I’ve seen the house keeping use dirty mops and water to wash the kitchen and bathroom floors. Air conditioner unit in the apartment fails often and probably needs a new unit I am not sure what the ‘nurse’ on staff is actually allowed to do. My mom’s rent is the same as those who get parking space. She didn’t move in with a car so no parking. There are not enough guest spaces. Cars are illegally parked in no parking zones. Her aide or myself often cannot find any space to park. There are many residency spaces that are continually empty. My mom needs an assigned space for her daily aid. The Recently in this area there are several new independent living choices being built. If we had to choose now I am not sure if Stratford would measure up I was informed that all this is because of the new owner and cutting costs. I am disappointed that what we saw 6 years ago is not the same as today. The building shows its age inside and out. Management needs to attend to keeping the building in its best condition - more than a coat of paint or new furniture in the main areas.

Do not like the food that much. Don’t like Greek food or food made with curry. I like mash potatoes not with anything in other than butter. This I don’t think is a French restaurant. Need better food!
