Sunrise Senior Living

My grandmother just moved into this community on Sept. 11th! The staff is wonderful and the activities are great! Grandma has adjusted very well to her new home and is enjoying all the fun activities planned throughout the day!

Overall things have gone very well at Sunrise of Rockville! It's a nice looking, clean community and the staff are very very friendly! They have a lot to offer their residents, and they have both assisted living and memory care. One thing to be aware of, just so it doesn't come as a surprise, is that if your loved one has dementia issues and needs additional help while their meds are adjusted that additional help will be brought in at your own cost.

The place was active with the residents in wheelchairs and walkers lined up in entrance. They like the residents to get out of their rooms and get involved. Warm atmosphere as the activity directer was playing a game with residents. The smell of cookies filled the air. The staff have been with the home and recognized for their being part of the family for a period of time. computer on hall wall to log patient care for next round to know all info.at all times. Ala cart services available. Nurses on duty 24/7 Church services available and visiting Ministers. Room is available on ground level by the dining and entrance. View from window is a garden and the patio. Walk in closet to be customized. Furniture to use available. I would feel safe and know Dad is in good care!

My loved ones haven't been here long yet, but so far we're pleased with how things have gone! The staff here all very nice and very accommodating, and obviously really genuinely care about making sure their residents get the best care they can deliver. They make very detailed care plans for each resident. Our one issue has been that sometimes there can be a breakdown in communication between staff members, where some staff members are not informed about specifics of the care plan, or simply just didn't follow it.

Overall they do a good job at Sunrise Assisted Living of Wilmington. It's a nice looking, clean facility, and the staff are all very very friendly. I'd give the staff higher than 5 if I could! They take good care of the residents and seem to have plenty of activities as well. The one area I'd like to see them improve is that on the weekends the dining staff get noticeably less personable.

My loved one lived in this community for quite a few years and they did an excellent job overall. We eventually needed to move her to be closer to family, and we decided to choose another Sunrise facility in the new area. Both facilities went out of their way to make it a smooth transition process, and were very helpful with the move overall.

Things have gone very well with Brighton Gardens of Charlotte. Our loved one had been staying at another Sunrise facility in other state for quite a while, and we thought they did an excellent job. When it came time for a move we decided to select another Sunrise community in the area she would be relocating to. They made the transition very easy, and have continued to provide high quality care.

The Sunrise of Bloomingdale has been a good experience. My loved one is happy there. The people are friendly, and the facility is very clean. Overall the services are good.

Sunrise at Buffalo Grove has been a good fit. I'm satisfied with the cleanliness of the facility, friendliness of the staff, care provided, and overall services.

They are doing pretty well so far. It's very clean, and the staff is really friendly. They do have a lot of things going on during the day. The food is really good. We love the fact that it's small so they can get a lot of personal attention, and they seem to have a good amount of staff. We like the location, and we liked a lot of things. I liked what the staff had to say about trying to keep them active, and seemed like a good safe environment, they tend to know if she has been in her room all day, and come and get her for dinner if she doesn't show up. They work really hard to maintain the residents dignity.

They do a good job here overall. The place is very clean, the staff are all friendly and professional, and the food is high quality. We're very pleased with how things are going.

This was a very nice place. I looked around, it was clean and the staff friendly. It was more independent and didn't really suit our needs. We were coming from a similar community, and were looking for more care. Very nice though.

Great place. Expensive. But on my list.

Sunrise at Fleetwood is a very nice community. Mom moved into the Reminiscence (memory care) unit. The care managers there are wonderful. They take the time to deal with each resident and their own unique challenges. My only concern is the activities run in the Reminiscence unit. There seem to be far fewer activities than their monthly calendar shows. I would hope that activities in the Reminiscence unit would help to stimulate the residents that live there.

This facility, staff members and residents were warm and welcoming.

My husband enjoyed the people and activities offered.

I think they have plenty of activities but my father chooses not to participate. They offer transportation but the only thing is that everyone has to sign up for transportation to any specific place. I think he would prefer that he had a schedule of transportation to specific places that he can just look at and know when they are going to make a trip to the library or to Walmart, etc. instead of having to ask to be taken somewhere each time.

A nice comfortable place. Has a home like feel. Nice grounds, nice staff. A possibility.
