Sunrise Senior Living

Things have gone well with Sunrise of Braintree so far. My loved one is one of the younger residents, and they're really doing a nice job of helping him settle in, introducing him to the activities, and making sure he feels included. The facility itself is a nice looking, clean, and well kept, and the staff have all seemed very friendly. Things are working out well for him here, and we would recommend it others looking in the area.

The move in could have been smoother. It took three or four days and six people to move her into a studio apartment. My mother in-law is not settling well, but overall rating for the Sunrise of Des Peres would be four stars, and the services are fine. other than the move in portion, everything seems to be fine.

Very impressed with their approach to memory loss residents. Very expensive.

also toured BG today & like it for several reasons, but the location on RT. 22 is not the best for visitors...

My mom likes it. She likes that she can talk to people there. It is an independent living facility; they provide basically housing and food. I think they can do a lot of activities. There isn't a whole lot for people there to do, and the person who runs the activities could be more creative. I love the location, because it is a block from my house. While my mother is very happy there,.

So far we are pretty happy with them. Everything is very clean, and the staff are all friendly. Up to this point they have been okay with the care and attentiveness, but recently there have been a couple of time that nobody has shown up for medication reminders. That has been our only concern so far. The entertainment and activities are great. The food has been very good, I would give it a four or a five.

My husband has been in the Reminiscence Wing for less than two months. He has a form of dementia, with zero short term memory as a result of a massive stroke over 4 years ago. He has also been a hospice patient since March. I found that the choice of Brighton Gardens, which I had toured in February, was the logical choice for placement for my husband during this last period of his life. The staff has been wonderful working with someone who has special needs. I am glad of the choice I made and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I think they do a very good job at Sunrise of Granite Run overall. I really like the people here, the staff really seem to care about my Mom and work hard to make sure she is comfortable. Many of their staff members are long time employees, and they really seem to enjoy the work that they do. Really the only downside I have seen is that they feel a bit short staffed. The employees are hard workers, but they just don't seem to have time to sit down with any one person for very long. But all in all I am happy we found this place, and I'd definitely recommend others take a look at it!

Approx 6 month wait list for 1 bedroom. First place visited so don't have comparison yet, can update feedback after see a few other places. Does not provide transportation to/from doc appointments so ideally would want to be simultaneous with PACE program. Suitable for needs today but not sure longer term without a move. Location is perfect in relation to my house, hospital and dialysis centers. Giving 4 stars as want it to be the place but will need to look around for comparison and overcome future needs such as when over 2 ADLs. Will most likely have more specific questions for Patti once get into conversation with sister and parents.

I like that it's small, so they all know where my mom is at all times. We chose the place because of location; it is close to my home. They will get to me when they can get to me. They are responsive. When I send e-mails I don't always get answers. They try their best. For instance, I asked them to get a dresser for my mom. They did it, but it took them a week.

Unfortunately my loved one was only here for a very brief time, but in that time my experience with Brighton Gardens was a very positive one. The woman who does their sales, Sue, was great. She was compassionate and empathetic, answered all of my questions, and I never felt like I was listening to a sales pitch. All of the employees at the community were very accommodating and understanding, and really helped ease the stress that having to search for one of these communities can cause. As an example, we were having a billing issue where the bill was not coming through to me. They told me just to get it to them when I could, there was no rush or pressure to get it resolved in the middle of an already stressful situation.

I liked this community very much and felt that it will certainly be considered as one of the options. Lisa was great and provided a wealth of information. Location is good.

I think things have gone very well overall at Sunrise on Providence! It's a nice looking place, and always very clean. They really try to be inclusive of their new residents, and I appreciate all the effort the staff put in to making my loved one feel at home. However, the food could use a lot of work. They don't have a lot in terms of selection, and the meal times can be very restrictive.

Very pleasant environment. Angel was helpful and caring. Food appeared to appeal to different tastes. It smelled good not like some senior homes.

We toured this place when we were looking. It was a nice place, it was clean, with a friendly staff. It came down to the location, and we picked a different place. But we didn't have any concerns about this place.

When we first started interviewing them, the guy was wonderful. Once we had decided and called to tell him this was our choice, suddenly he wouldn't call us back, for almost a week. When he finally did it was to tell us he didn't have room and that we could stay at a different location of theirs. We liked this one it was bigger, and just seemed nicer. That was disappointing.

It was a very nice place, my mother in law liked it. But for respite there is a thirty day minimum. The staff were all very good, they were very outgoing. There were a few things that they made sound better than it actually was. The rooms were smaller than at a different Sunrise location, and we had to have a shared room here. We let them know T.V. was important for her, and they didn't have a T.V. in the room when we got there, and it took five days to get one. Anything she needed they were right there for her, and she really liked the staff, they were very attentive. They had plenty of activities. They let residents have dogs, and they let the dogs go everywhere in the community. When we were having an allergy problem they said she would just have to stick to her room. That was an interesting approach.

I liked the feeling of Sunrise and the area for Dementia people. A very homelike setting. The negative right now is Respite Care is for 30 days. I may consider Sunrise in the future but not now for Respite Care.

We've had a good experience with Sunrise of East Brunswick so far. They're very conscientious in how they treat their residents. They are sensitive to their needs and always on hand if anyone needs help. They're also good about staying in contact with families, and they will not hesitate to call if anything comes up. They're an expensive community however, which brings the score down slightly. Mom has also mentioned that she likes the food!
