Sunrise Senior Living

My mother has been living at Bedford Court for 3 months now, and despite strongly not wanting to move from her home, she is truly happy now. It helped to simplify her life, so she can still handle Independent living on her own. The staff and other residents are friendly. The facility is clean and has many services she needs - meals provided (that are delicious) when she wants them, weekly housekeeping, and laundry machines close by. We especially like that a shopping center with banks, diner, and grocery store are within a short walk. The courtyard is beautiful and well kept and an nice environment for outside. There are good activities available daily, and having the mailboxes in the hall gets her out too. My mother has some dementia, so has challenges, but is slowly figuring it all out. The staff have been most helpful with this integration, went out of their way to help her when she was most distraught early on, and have still kept tabs on her.

Quincy place is a very nice senior living complex. The meals are good, the staff is very friendly and location is very good. My mother is 93, lives in a studio and receives physical therapy from some great people that are contracted to work there. The studios are a bit small but this is one of the better priced complex's in the Denver area.

Sunrise was good for my Mom. The staff was awesome and helped us every step of the way. Unfortunately the expense was a bit much for us. I miss having my Mom there.

The Sunrise at Silas Burke House was almost new when my dad moved into it - and the staff have stayed on top of the normal wear and tear, and addressed the issues that are normal with a new operation (service in the dining room, knowing where things are, etc.). The staff are friendly, helpful, and patient – not an easy thing with residents that have health and mental issues and mobility problems. A couple of days ago, my dad said that he should have moved out his house a couple of years ago, and that he was more comfortable than he has been in years. He's also healthier – he likes the food, he's eating a balanced diet, and he's taking his medicine in the right amounts and at the right times. I would give Sunrise 5 starts except that they're the most expensive option – but not by a whole lot. If you can handle the $1K more a month, this is a much better option than any of the other assisted living facilities that I looked at in the WMA.

My mom swore that she’s never reside in an assisted living facility but there she is and it’s working out. She truly enjoys many of the stafff members and most of the meals. Brighten gardens is a manageable size, not too big. Occasionally her favorite activity is cancelled for no apparent reasons which is disappointing. I also feel the activities are limited. However the activity director is incredibly friendly and caring and loved by all the residents. I recommend Brighton Gardens

It was a very good move to put Mom in Sunrise. They are very good to Mom and work hard to keep Mom happy, healthy & comfortable.

We got my Aunt moved in to Sunrise st NorthHills with a minimum of fuss. Her care was great until the end. Good facility, good staff, good front office people. I’m glad she was there so I know she was comfortable and cared for right to the end.

We were very happy to find this facility in New York City for our parents! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and our parents are enjoying their life there. Lovely location!

I visited and was met by [name removed], who was very nice. Alison then answered all my questions and took me on a tour of the facility. I thought the place was wonderful. It was very clean and the clients that I saw seemed happy and well cared for, enjoying games, doing physical therapy or just enjoying company. Very nice community.

I liked the staff and the facility very much; however, it does not seem like a good fit for my dad. The population is much older and the activities are geared toward that (i.e. Bingo, cards, tea, etc.) My dad is much more active and would need more than that. The accommodations were nice, and the high ceilings helped it feel much less claustrophobic than some other places. I also liked that residents have the same caregivers every day. Unfortunately, I just don't think that the community is the right fit for my dad.

Park like setting and very nice bungalow style buildings. This is a definite possibility for my Mom.

Top choice to date. An environment that Dad would feel good in I think. Church service and daily popcorn and fresh cookies right up his alley. I like the salon as well.

Thought our mom would like the cruise ship atmosphere. meals smelled good. Residents seemed engaged and highly functional. Felt like a fun atmosphere with lots of activities. Warm, inviting feel

Good location, welcoming bldg with a porch and rockers outside. Staff very friendly. Rooms are a nice size, full wellness center on site. Disappointing was the seating sessions for meals.

Nice facility, grounds needed some work. Pleasant office staff. Some employees didn’t return greeting on assisted living floor. Terrace level has beautiful natural lighting and outdoor terrace seating. Terrace level for moderate memory care. Spacious layout on the fourth level i.e. Terrace level. Some restrooms have shower benches. Kitchen sinks and mini freezer and fridge in all rooms. Lots of daily activities and witnessed volunteers.

This is a beautiful property, and the staff seems very engaged. The home smelled fresh and nice, and was light and well maintained. Rated a 4 only because it does not accept Medicaid, which is necessary for Mom.

Sunrise is a beautiful facility, although the occupants have their own rooms the facility still had a nursing home feel to it. The place was very clean and bright, with lots of activities for the occupants. The apartments were quite small yet airy and clean. [Name removed] was extremely accommodating and very informative.
