The halls are very long so you might not want your loved one at the end of the hall. I really like the rooms, they are very and have plenty of room. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have activities available, and the food looks good but my loved one really has not had feedback for those. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Our loved one had dementia but Sunrise was willing to care for our loved one on the assisted living side and not the memory care. We thought this would be a much more pleasant stay for our loved one being able to stay on the assisted living side. During our loved one stay they did have trouble with staffing, and due to our loved ones care they he needed at least two assistance to help get him out of bed, and usually there was only one person available so he would stay in bed more than what we wanted.

Our family had an in person tour with Sunrise and the community was very nice, but the value for cost was just to high for what we were comfortable with. We also wanted a community that solely focused on memory care.

It's a great place. They take the residents on trips to the store and things like that several times a week. They have a lot of activities available, and they're in a great location. The only thing that is not outstanding is the food. It's good, and I'm sure it's healthy, but it's not great. Just little things - like the bananas aren't fresh. They're spotted and soft. Sometimes the food is easy to chew, sometimes not. (I know that's specific to my loved one.) And it can be lacking in variety. But the staff is amazing, and my loved one likes it there.

The community is neat and clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Communication between depts is not the best. The right-hand doesn't know what the left is doing. They are very kind and they do a great job taking care of them.

We did a virtual tour and the pictures are standard and still during our tour. There wasn't a way for me to see residents, staff, or directions. I wish I would've been able to meet more staff members. They did provide answers to all my questions.

Our family was able to have an in person tour and on the tour we noticed how clean it was and there were no fowl smells. The staff were all very nice especially the lady in charge, she was awesome. They had space available for our loved one but unfortunately the location was just to far away.

They have a very good reminiscence wing for people with dementia. But be very well aware that the amazing activities that the general residents partake in are not exactly the same activities for the dementia residents. And you must be extremely proactive and assertive if your family member is in reminiscence and needs incontinence care to avoid any possibility of UTIs. However, overall, it's a wonderful experience, and I see improvement in my loved one in the last three months.

It is a very nice place, and my love done is doing well. The staff are nice to work with. Some of the activities they have available are: baking, morning circle group, outside musicians, arts and crafts, and more for the residents to choose from. The caregivers are underpaid, and the community is understaffed.

Impressive building. Residents were content and said they enjoyed themselves. The building was immaculate. Offered four room designs. Bistro had snacks for the residents of fresh fruit, muffins and beverages that the residents could easily access.

Our loved one was only there for a couple months before having to be put on hospice care but we were very pleased with the Stratford. Our experience was quite positive and we did think the value for cost was very good.

I was able to tour this community, I almost moved there because i really liked the environment. However, two things that made me change my mind was one you didn't rent the apartment you had to buy it. You did not have to buy it full price, but I was worried if I passed on if my children could afford it. Also I checked up on this community over a period of time for about 2 years, and it appeared to me that you had to be of certain age to live there. It did not seem as active and engaging.

I would recommend this community to others based on my experience and they delivered on their promises.

We loved Sunrise of Mission Viejo. We would have chosen this facility but they were not able to get us in on the ground floor and they only had studios available at the time we were looking. It has beautiful surroundings on a golf course.

Nice facility with courteous staff. Numerous floor plans available. The residents seemed happy and engaged.

It's been good overall. One weakness is that there is very little communication with family members You have to call in to find out how your family member is doing. One of the employees once told me that they only reach out if it's bad news. So they do call you if something goes wrong, but it would be nice to have some sort of system where they give you periodic updates. There's also a sense that corporate is deciding things, and there's not much of an avenue to communicate with corporate with any questions/concerns about their policies. For instance, I've had concerns about the drinking water, and use of plastic and paper plates, etc. So I just don't feel connected to the people who are making the decisions. But these are minor issues overall, and generally I've been pleased.
