I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. I would also recommend you be the advocate and keep your eyes and ears open for your loved one. Some of the activities they have available are: bus trips around town, bingo, trivia, church services and more for the residents to choose from. It would be nice to have the staff communication improved on with family in a timely manner.

Highland Trial has had a decently high number of turnovers with the staff which is why that rating for a 4 out of 5, we just have not met with the new staff members and do not know they as well. Our loved one is also not the big into socializing, but they do offer activities. What we have seen of the activities they seem very appropriate, well planned and very consistent. Highland Trail is a very beautiful facility, and in a great part of town which is a huge plus. Within 3-4 miles there is shopping, and medical facilities.

The community is smaller than other communities so i feel the residents get more attention. The community is kept neat and clean and I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Everyone has been welcoming - the staff. Staff is very helpful. My apartment is very sweet. I love to do the stretching!

It's a really great place and a really positive environment. There does seem to be some communication breakdowns at times. I would rather they reach out to me and give me the information, but I'm the one reaching out to them asking for updates and trying to figure out how to pay our bill online instead of via check. Some things go on and they don't let me know. For instance, my loved one just got a roommate, and I didn't know that. But the people who work there are lovely. It's in a great location, and it's a it's a clean and beautiful facility. They seem to really care about everyone who lives there. The food always looks really good, and they have snacks and fresh fruit out. They're also very sensitive to people who are diabetic. I think it's an awesome value and very fairly priced.

We moved my father into Sunrise Naperville about 3 months ago. It was a rough start for our family to place my Dad here, but [name removed] and team really made my dad and entire family feel welcome to this location. One of the main reason we really liked Sunrise is that they made you feel like it was a family environment and they did just that from day 1. Our father has made some great strides in the right direction, but the key point here is that he is in a safe, structured, well run facility. Would definitely recommend them to others!

My mother is in memory care. The staff are nice to her, and take care of her well. They have family activities that are great and done well. The food is quality and there are a few options if the resident does not care for what the menu offers.

The cleanliness of the community is perfect and the staff members there are very friendly. Our loved one is really enjoying the meals the provided and loves the activities. There is always something going on keeping her busy.

The building was nice. It was like a hotel when you walked in. The fees were too steep for us.

I feel that this is a very caring community. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is very good also. I would recommend this community to others based on our experience.

From what I understand, it's probably one of the better options in the area. It certainly has been a good option for us. Things I appreciate about Sunrise at Orchard: It's in close proximity to where I live, and being right on the edge of Greenwood Village, it's in a pretty upscale neighborhood, which is nice. It's also right across the parking lot from the library. In general, the staff is unfailingly kind. They accommodate my loved one's mental health issues. There are a few members of senior staff who are excellent. My loved one's suite is especially attractive. It's in a rotunda portion of the building, so it's like a turret with 180 degree views, and it gets light pretty much all day. Their pet friendly policy is truly genuine, and that's very important to my loved one. The landscaping and architecture are designed to make it very homey. Compared to other facilities, they really strive to make it something that the residents would like. Other facilities are decorated to appeal to a younger demographic, but Sunrise focuses more on resident preferences than on younger family members. For instance, the décor colors are warmer than some of the cooler blue colors that are common in other facilities. Things I think they could improve upon: The meals are set by the corporate offices, and they're not necessarily taking into account what the residents would like. The prepared foods are pretty tasteless, but they do have some fresh fruits and vegetables, so it's possible to eat healthfully if the resident chooses to. It's designed for people who are less mentally aware than my loved one, so she has trouble connecting with other residents who are less mentally sharp. She tends to feel isolated there because there aren't really other residents on the same intellectual level, so we find it necessary to make sure she gets her socialization outside of the facility. We were told there would be a lot of activities, and there are. But there's very little for her to do because what they're offering is not as stimulating. And at this time they're not able to provide field trips like they were promising. I would say that billing and administration can be difficult. There's a lack of clarity regarding charges, and it can be really hard to get information on how the billing works. Months after move-in, we are still having problems understanding our bill. The everyday lower level staff will get away with whatever they are able to. They're very kind, but they tend to be lazy if they can get away with it. It would be difficult to monitor if your parent isn't mentally alert. My thought is they're on par with other facilities in that regard. And that leads me to one general caveat - I don't recommend anybody who cares about their loved one to put them in a facility and trust that they're going to have a good experience without the family staying involved. And that would apply to any place. But on the good side, they've been very conscientious about Covid precautions. And one of the main factors in our decision to come to Sunrise was there was a very reasonable 3-figure buy-in, whereas at other facilities it can be up to 6 figures. Also, the commitment is month-to-month instead of being locked in with a contract. Overall, it has been a good decision for our family.

All the food was brought to my loved' ones room. The community tried to get my loved one to eat three meals a day. The community did try to accommodate my loved one with snacks. We ended up moving my loved one out of the community due to advanced medical needs. There were extra fees for medication distribution, and additional care. These fees were on top of the monthly fee.

Out of the two Sunrise communities in the area, this one looked a little older, but both looked like great places. This one was in our top two for consideration. The people there were very nice and very sweet.

Our loved one is an extremely picky eater and she is loving the meals and dining service. The hair salon there also allows the residents to get manicures and pedicures which she loves, and she really loved the outside views from her apartments. We did think it was more expensive then the other communities we looked at, but they have excellent amenities. We have noticed within the past month or so that they seem to be really short staffed

I am glad our loved one is here and not at a different community I would recommend this community to others based on my experience

There are a couple of Sunrise communities in the area. This is the newer one. Based on our virtual tour, it looked like a very nice place, and more updated. I liked the designs and everything they had in there. The two Sunrises were very similar, and we liked both of them. This was just the more updated version.

It's a very good place in a nice location. The staff and the care they provided was very good. The building is very nice, and I liked the set-up. It's been there for a while but is still well-maintained. The activities were planned out nicely, but my loved one wasn't able to participate. It's a great place to put your loved one if you can afford it, because it's not cheap.

The activities are still pretty limited, and the meal quality needs to improved a lot.

Sunrise is a lovely community meant for someone who needs minimal care. Mom needed more than that an i am not positive that she received it. They don't even provide signaling devices to call for help

We chose Sunrise because it seemed like it was the best value for the money in the area. I would recommend the facility to others who are looking.
