Sunrise Senior Living

Sunrise of West Essex is one of the best senior living facilities out there! My dad's time spent there was exceptional! He was a high level of care and always got the care that he needed from the staff at Sunrise of West Essex. My mom will need to go into memory care in the near future and after looking at several other facilities, she too will be at Sunrise of West Essex. Their price point is high, but so is their care level, and they have an exceptional staff.

Received prompt professional courteous service. Submitted work order and the next day job was scheduled and completed. The modifications were exactly that which were requested. Great workmanship. Thanks.

Nice facility, conveniently located. Great rooms in assisted living. [name removed], the Head of Care team is phenomenal. Good activities. Facility amenities are unmatched including apartments, bathrooms, dining rooms, outdoor areas, theater, room, gym, salon, and so much more.

I feel safe. It is a community where I have found friends who share their experiences with me. There are lots of activities.

We have seen a complete change in behavior since we moved my Mother in law. She is happy, engaged and seems to be loving the facility. We are so comfortable that she is in good hands.

It's been a good experience overall. have been pleased with the service levels. Food is pretty good. Clean facility and the help has been very good.

The staff stay in touch with all information and a clinician on site updates all health related issues as needed. PT and exercise is what my mom loves. My mom loves sunrise and enjoys her residence

I've found the staff always willing to assist my friend there. I've never observed a frown from them when asked to help with bathing or cleaning the room. They interact with all patients and know their names. The dining room staff knows everyone by name and will readily assist with feeding someone when needed. The nurses are always available to listen to family and patients. I have found them to be very knowledgeable about my friends issues and able to help me cope with and understand those issues. They always take time to talk to me. Food is very good and they offer excellent choices for every meal. They post activities every day and have a varied assortment. They also print a monthly schedule of the activities that loved ones can take. They frequently transport their charges on outings to restaurants and shopping.

I have only positive things to say about both Sunrise and A Place for Mom. Sunrise has a warm, kind atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful, and speaks to residents by name. Concerns are addressed and resolved. When I've needed help with anything, nothing was too much trouble for them. Multiple activities can keep you as busy as you want. Or not. Suggestions for outings and activities are all considered; many are implemented. At a recent wellness checkup my doctor said that all of my bloodwork showed improvement - due to my dietary changes. It's just a warm and caring environment

Very loving staff, made us feel like family.

The billing is confusing because you're always a month behind. The local people are very helpful though. Sometimes you have to really push if you want to look at new meds or things that are outside of the regular routine. They can be very slow. Overall though, its a lovely facility, they are warm people and they really try to make your family member feel at home.

My Mother is still there and it is the 3rd facility (other two were rehab/SNF)she has been in since her injury last year. I love all the staff and so does Mom. The facility has a family feel, very welcoming. Very clean except for the carpeting could use updating. Everyone is very friendly and easily approachable. Care is the best we have experienced outside of the hospital.

The staff are very polite, helpful and caring for each resident. They get attached to the residents. Just the building could use additional parking

I found Sunrise Of Orange to be a wonderfully warm knowledgeable caring facility There is one major caveat, however. My husband was sent to Saint Joseph Medical on four occasions. I had asked them not to send [name removed], I knew that he had just fallen asleep in each of those four instances Saint Joseph took his vitals and sent him right back. I was stuck with over $[removed] worth of transport bills
