Sunrise Senior Living

Things that stick out about sunrise. It is open and cheery. The residents look happy and cared for. It is clean. The staff is cheerful and friendly. I love the care my friend gets from the nurses when she doesn't feel well. There are lots of activities to choose from. The meals look good.

The unexpected transition to assisted living has gone as smoothly as we could hope given the health issues. Everyone has been helpful and welcoming. Communication and responsiveness has been exceptional. We are grateful for the Sunrise community.

The person who originally signed us up was lovely and most others are very pleasant. The 4 for activities is because my husband, who has advanced dementia, has no interest in them. But others look like they're having a jolly time and staff members do their best to involve everyone. Otherwise the place is wonderful and I'm just grateful we can afford it.

I was able to tour this community for my father in law. We have care in the home and he is progressing with his memory impairment. The Memory care was so bright and cheery. I met with the supervisor and she was able to answer all my questions. I am looking forward to their care. I also was given great information from the sales person.

Bear Canyon Estates is warm & friendly, with good company, good food, and friendly staff. Sunrise seems unfamiliar with managing an Independent Living facility. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

It was a very special place for my mom. Everyone was so kind and helpful. She struggled at first. Because she wanted to be at home to die but gave in quickly because everyone there was so helpful. From walking in there the first day meeting everyone and walking out on the last day there moving her items out. It was priceless! I would highly recommend to any new comer. The nurses were terrific and very knowledgeable. Also when hospice stepped in it was flawless.

It really is just the perfect fit for my mom who does not need all the services but peace of mind knowing someone is always available when she needs. The only down side is the doors are only manned 8am - 8pm and it is not easy to get someone to let us in after those hours.

What we like the most about Sunrise of Wall is that they are caring they understand your situation. You can speak to them easily. They treat your loved one special. Compassionate and friendly staff. Care about loved one and personalize their needs. Have extra capacity to feed them until their last breath

I would say 5 across everything except admin staff as my sister felt they were a little disorganized. My mom liked it there but the rooms were extremely small and I think she said she would have to pay extra for parking. Yes, we would recommend Sunrise of Highland Park to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Putting a loved one into assisted living is always a difficult decision. It is an adjustment for all persons involved, including family. Sunrise has made the transition for my mother as easy as humanly possible. It has been a difficult adjustment for Mom but everyone at Sunrise has done their best to see that she feels taken care of and loved. While she still wants her family with her as much as possible. Her health is improving. She is eating well. Doctors, nurses, care providers are all there for her 24 hours a day. Our family is confident that she is in good hands. Sunrise was the best fit for my mother and she is growing more confident and comfortable every day.

Staff and residents are amazing. Mom feels safe and secure. She feels like she’s in an environment that meets her needs. Thanks for all you do to make new residents feel welcome and secure. My mom has been without her 69 year old partnership which has been a challenge but thankfully the facility offers warmth and support. Thanks

Dad was reluctant to move in. It was a big change in a new city. The staff were so great and supportive for not only my dad, but for me too! While it took time for him to settle in, as it always does, they kept assuring me - and give me examples as to how - that he was indeed settling in. The activities are really nice for him. A good balance of energy and fun! Lots of music too. I’m very happy with him being here.

From the first conversation over the phone to our visit at Sunrise, Pam Barton and staff listened and helped my brother transition to his apartment that would cater to his needs. Most importantly they help to find the right fit for my brother.

Very professional and compassionate experience. All members of Brighton Gardens went above and beyond to provide a good experience for my father. Strongly recommend based the management, staff and care team.

My 85-year-old father with Parkinson’s moved into Sunrise of Jacksonville from another assisted living facility. The staff and residents have welcomed him with open arms. They seem to really care., which is what I loved so much about the place from which my father came. The food is great!. The accommodations are really nice. I haven’t gotten to know all of the caregivers, but there are definitely a few that stand out as really caring about the residents and making sure their needs are met. The leadership team is solid, attentive, and responsive. The few hiccups we’ve had ,which are to be expected, got resolved quickly, with ease and responsibility.

This was the first and only place I looked at. The staff is very caring, helpful, and friendly. When I walk down the hall to Memory Care everyone I meet smiles and speaks, from maintenance to facility directors. The decor inspires elegance and peace. The rooms are a good size. I wish the activities encouraged more movement and interaction.

Every person here is at the care and seed ice of your family member with comfort and satisfaction being their main goal. All needs are quickly met and frequent follow up’s are issued. It is good building relationships with staff which are seen on continuous days.

I don't like that the elevators are often broken, there is some ripped carpet that needs replacing near an elevator. It sounds like staff turnover can be high (especially in the dining room). But overall, I love it.

Everything was a 5 ... the best. Very professional, caring and attentive staff. Definitely 100% recommend this center.

Sunrise of Wall made my mother feel very welcome from the day she arrived. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. It was a big adjustment leaving her home but she quickly settled in and is enjoying her very active new lifestyle!
