We had a very nice tour at Sunrise of Gurnee. The man who showed us around was very knowledgeable and helpful. The reason we didn’t go with them was because the cost was not all-inclusive. There seemed to be charges for every little thing that all added up.

Our tour at Sunrise of Leominster was okay. It wasn’t located in a convenient spot for us. All the places we toured were basically the same - the same kind of model. Only reason for four stars was because we weren't able to bring our loved one, so we didn't get an opportunity to see how they would interact with her.

It was a good experience. I thought it was a good community for assisted living. The staff was very friendly, including to all visitors. And they were very accommodating with questions and providing help. The facility was nice. It had an atrium that was very nice, and there were a lot of outdoor features, so it was pleasant to sit outside. The grounds were very nice.

We thought Highland Trail was very nice. The people were super nice. It just wasn’t our type of environment. The décor just seemed more traditional/formal. And it was pretty pricey. But if that's your type of place - the location was nice, the facility was clean, the people were friendly. It seemed like a good place.

What stuck out to us about Sunrise is that they had 2 levels of memory care. They have an intro level (which I find very helpful) and then as things progress they have a more advanced level of care. The room sizes at the facility are definitely adequate for her needs. Relatively speaking, the process is fairly streamline and the staff is very interactive with the families. I would recommend to others looking.

We're pretty pleased with Sunrise of Sandy, especially compared to other places my wife lived previously. They're taking good car of her and treating her very well. She's kept clean in a nice change of clothes. They help with her eating since she has a problem with swallowing. Overall I think they do a good job.

My mother-in-law is doing well and getting stronger after breaking he hip at home. There have been a few details that needed straightened out but staff was very helpful getting these issues work out. The staff-especially the receptionists are all very friendly and helpful.
