Sunrise Senior Living

I’m especially impressed with the caregivers here. They really CARE. The meals are mostly tasty. Don’t think it should be called fine dining however. The outside grounds are large and beautiful, a huge plus. I am an assisted living resident and my husband is in memory care.

Sunrise is an exceptional residence. My mom has been in assisted living there since 2021. She is very active and the staff are very engaged in keeping residents busy. When she transitioned to Memory care the staff made every effort make her comfortable and that residents are out of their rooms engaging when possible. They manage my mom who can be difficult at times with kindness and love. The care managers really go out of their way to get to know the residents understanding what they enjoy, what they don't and how to keep them happy. She recently suffered a stroke at 4:30am, her care manager [name removed] was getting her dressed for the day - [my mom wakes up very early] - and immediately noticed the signs, called 911 and then called me. I honestly believe [name removed] quick actions saved my moms life. Sunrise is currently helping my mom transition back into memory care from the hospital and are always great about calling me and giving me updates or just calling so my mom can hear my voice.

Our mother moved into Memory Care at Sunrise in Park Ridge in the height of the pandemic. We were very concerned about her safety & well being, but she received excellent care. It has a homelike atmosphere & caring staff. When she first moved in, hospice said her life expectancy was probably only 3 to 4 months. But she lived for almost 3 years due to the excellent care she received. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We picked this community, because of the general feeling of the location, staff, and other residents when visiting. They are great and the people are very nice, but there were some small surprises to be prepared for like they didn't explain how to make payments. They were very clear about how much the payments are and what is included but the actual mechanics and options to make payments was left unclear.

My husband and I just recent moved into Sunrise of Beverly Hills and have only been here abour 1 month. So far, so good. The residents that we've met are very friendly and inclusive. The staff is overall very good. Dining room staff is exceptional. We participate in the excercise program daily. We use the onsite gym. We've been on a couple of the outings and again, so far, so good. The food is good too! I supply my own gluten free bread and they even keep track to let me know when I'm running low. We're not running away just yet!!

My loved one thinks that the meal service and dining service has to long of waits and incorrect orders. The quality of the meals should be improved as well. The best thing about the Brighton Gardens of Mountainside are the staff members, they are very patient and helpful with the residents.

Very friendly, staff all greet my father by name, very attentive after he fell. Concierge greets family when they enter the facility. Really all has been quite good with the exception of the meals. The entrees are usually room temperature or cool. Seems like the entrees may be a frozen protein and have no taste. Soups are homemade and usually good. Sandwiches and salads are fine. They could change up the veggies from carrots and broccoli. Desserts are great! My dad just avoids the entrees. I've eaten there a few times and just get a sandwich.

I like [name removed] the concierge. As for recommending I would say it is competent care not exceptional care. Evaluate the activities. We picked this community because they were willing to accept my mother.

Things they do well at: most workers have a genuine concern for the residents; very neat and clean facility Things to improve: medication management and food. They seem to try to accommodate residents fairly well. My Mom is a picky eater, so she likes the breakfast but not usually the other meals. She does appreciate that there are options for alternate selections (for example, sandwiches).

The room we toured had a very bad smell, but I'm sure it was due to a recent accident, which I'm sure happens often. I'm just not sure they should have shown us a room that smelled so foul. They seemed very nice there, but we were only there for 15 minutes, so my experience is limited. We were looking for a 2 week respite stay and the policy at Sunrise was a month minimum.

Our family had an in person tour with Sunrise of Mt. Vernon and it was great in its own way. We would recommend this community to other families depending on their loved ones needs and finances. It was a nice community but far to expensive for our loved one.

Facility is extremely nice all-around. Two negatives, it's more expensive (over $[removed] a month), and almost zero parking..There's overflow parking across the street (down a ways) at a church. Considering the massive cost, they should absolutely get more parking spots, or at least make the staff park in the church parking lot.

This has been a very pleasant move for us. A safe, comfortable home with the help we need. Knowing that the staff is nearby to assist us gives us and our family peace of mind. There are lots of activities if you choose to participate.

Generally, Sunrise of Raleigh is a pleasant and friendly place. The housekeeping in the rooms could be better. Communication with the family was good. The move in process was easy. The food is very bland and uninspiring. That was my husband's biggest complaint!

We toured with Sunrise of Schaumburg and it seemed very nice. But to us it just seemed a little bit shabby and not a good fit for my loved one.

Our family had an in person tour with Sunrise of Norwood and we really liked the community and overall tour experience, but the location was just not ideal for our loved one

I toured with Sunrise of La Costa and really liked the facility, from everything I saw it seemed really nice. The only reason I went with a different facility was because of the cost. The offered a very reasonable, all-inclusive price.

My loved one was a resident at Sunrise of Orchard. The staff at this facility were wonderful. The friendliness was great. Communication with the family was average. The meals were superb! I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Was disappointed that while I was away and our loved one had an urgent care issue while there in respite care I had to coordinate a solution . That was the point of having a place with licensed personnel. Otherwise everyone was very friendly, helpful and very clean.

We took a tour of Sunrise of Reston Town Center when searching for an Assisted Living facility for my loved one. This facility was nice. However, the rooms were quite a bit smaller than another facility in the area that we were considering and ultimately chose to go with.
