Sunrise Senior Living

All of the staff are very friendly. The facility is always clean. Communication with the family is at least a monthly update and if concerns, more frequent. The meals in Memory Care are fair. I would recommend this facility to others.

Sunrise of Yorba Linda is a very nice facility. The staff in the Memory Care unit were wonderful to my mom while she was there (she passed away in 2021) and they are very good to my stepdad as well who still resides there in Assisted Living. I would recommend it highly.

This was tied for first place with the facility we ended up choosing. Lobby and residents' rooms were attractive. Staff were pleasant and helpful. It had a kind of bistro where residents could get coffee and snacks. It also had a resident therapy dog that wandered around! Downside for me: It had 2 floors so residents needed to use an elevator BUT, it also had a very wide open grand staircase . Not safe with people using canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.

We had a good tour experience with Sunrise of Bridgewater. We almost were going to move my loved one here, but the cost was higher so we went with a different Sunrise location. The tour was a little less personal here.

Overall, Sunrise Yorba Linda was a very good place for my mother. I felt the facility was well maintained and the staff was kind and helpful. The on-site nurse was important as well to make sure her medication was dispensed properly. She was recovering from a fractured right hip which made it difficult for her to move around. There were a few things I wish they had available for her like a bedpan and a shower chair. I had to bring those in myself. Their computer visitor check in was awkward and not as user friendly as I would have liked but the front desk person always greeted my wife and I with a warm smile. I felt that moms care was good for the 5 weeks she was there but she eventually passed away there on Mother’s Day 2021. In retrospect, she probably could have used some additional time at the skilled nursing facility post surgery to get stronger and have more physical therapy.

We toured the Independent Living at this facility and the tour was good. The people we spoke to were very nice and they were very good at following up with me after the tour. The facility was clean. I didn't love the layout of the apartments as much. They had lovely outdoor spaces. The thing that we didn't like is that it is a very large facility, which could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. We didn't see the Assisted Living, so I can't speak to that.

It's always good to check in... despite the professional staff they need feedback from time to time.

I would praise the care staff , facility, and support that my loved one is receiving. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything positive regarding the billing, accounting and administration of those matters. I have not been able to use the portal due to invoices being incorrect, and the portal will only accept full invoice payment. This aspect of my experience is very disappointing.

The staff that we work with are awesome. Like every other Assisted Living facility, they are short staffed and it takes a while to get assistance. According to my loved one, the food is terrible. But based on her care, the setup of the building, and the friendliness and knowledge of the staff, I would definitely recommend this facility to friends and family.

They have been very patient with my mom. She is actually not there anymore. She needs to move to a nursing home. The Apartment was fine, and they kept it clean. I would recommend this place to other families.

Incredibly dedicated staff who are accommodating and flexible and offer creative solutions to issues Families are welcomed to visit at any time I had two parents there for about six months during which time they changed apartments twice

Nice, classy facility. Fits in as more a step down from a skilled nursing facility versus step up from independent living. For someone who needs higher level of care but still wants to be out with people and engaging, a great fit. Had confidence that they could have handled my mother-in-law's needs up to end-of-life. Showing signs of wear and staffing shortages. Sales guy was awesome and made it clear that his goal was full education about options and their strengths, not just closing a deal. No maintenance person for a few months before I visited and that made things look more run-down than I was fully comfortable with.

We had toured many different communities but from our experience, we can recommend Sunrise of Redmond to others. The atmosphere is better than good. The vibe is very inviting. The activities are needed and appreciated every single day. The are working on improving the meals and dining service.

Based primarily on my mother in law's experience there I would say the things that need most improvement are the Meals/food, friendliness of staff, and quality of care. When it comes to the meals, some meals my mother-in-law says are good and some she says are not good. of course that could just be what a person likes or not. But there have been a lot of changes from what I've heard, the chef leaving and then the rest of the staff leaving and then the staff coming back. I'm not sure of the details but it sounds like there was a lot of upheavals.

We feel confident in the care she receives and my aunt has never complained to us! It's a nice place and good care and activities for residents. I would recommend to others.

It's overall a great place to be. The food, however, is not reliable in quality or what they post, which is extremely frustrating. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I haven't eaten the food, but my loved one says it's a hit or a miss. Some she likes, some she doesn't. There are always other options if you don't like the main dish. She loves the woman that takes care of her room and feels she does a wonderful job. The communication is good. I get emails regularly updating me on what is going on there. I would recommend this facility to family and friends because of the value and the location.

The only thing that is not great is communication between hospice and Brighton, I felt stuck in the middle and found that very stressful. Also ended up with my mom going to ER twice, I don't think that should have happened. Now have $[removed] bill. Came down to communication issues. Other than that item, Brighton Gardens was good.

My loved one doesnt use amenities but the room is nice. It's clean andthe staff is friendly. They offer good care. I would recommend to others.

We toured Sunrise of East Meadow and it was a very nice facility. The cleanliness and friendliness were good. It was more expensive than some of the other places that we toured. They also offered more than my loved one needed, she's not a very active senior.
