Sunrise Senior Living

Sunrise of Cinco Ranch is a family oriented home for Seniors, my mother is thriving at this facility. Also, like all of the other residents in her area, my mother helps the staff with daily tasks such as helping others who are older and need assistance, etc. This facility is a very friendly place. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Check out dining service, question services like shower assistance, laundry, room services, check out reality of activities. I picked this community, because of the proximity to home for wife to visit, price,and availability of appropriate handicapped accessible studio apartment. Would recommend. Ask about staff turnover and staff retention. Sunrise is a large corporation with many sites an it seems corporate policies are less favorable than local resident needs would prefer. Also a bit disorganized with different groups out of touch/sync with each other. Interview care manager in depth before deciding.

We toured Sunrise of Westfield during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was great! The cleanliness and friendliness were great, also. It just wasn't the best location for my loved one.

Beware a smaller facility which has its advantages but also a major disadvantage. Staff was very efficient and attentive. However during the original sales discussion it was made clear that there would be a two year pay down at which time resident would then sign on for Medicaid. Once accepted the comment from the salesman made it sound like a simple process whereby she may be able to stay in her room or at worst share a room. When it came to that time I was told that there were no rooms available and there was a long waiting list. And they had no clue when a room would be available. Until then I would have to pay full amount for who knows how long. This is the negative of a smaller facility. Limited Medicaid rooms. Wish they made that clearer in the beginning. Probably would have selected another facility.

I would def recommend SR to others. I have one major concern that I know is a general prob across adult care facilities. There is significant staff turnover and vacancies exist within SR. Staffers sometimes are rushed. Our family recently found prescription meds in my mother's nightstand, indicating that staff had not observed her taking her blood pressure medication. Recd call from Exec Dir & Head of Nursing Staff after sending email about our concern, indicating that they would further educate staff. A Place for Mom worked with us to identify good places for people with dementia & we went on several visits. They were a an excellent resource. Our contact there was very empathetic and responsive.We also wanted a friendly environment, good inside & outside security, nice rooms and good food. Budget was also a consideration

The meal service could be improved, and more cafeteria style setting would be nice. We have fun with the activities. I picked this community, because of the location, the price, and I was familiar with the facility. Overall, I would recommend to others.

My mother only lived at Sunrise of Marlboro for 18 days. The facility seemed very homey and the food smelled great! They gave us an in house baked apple pie just for coming to visit with them initially. It is a small enough facility for the staff to get to know the residents and their families on a personal level. I would tell others just to keep in touch with the staff, visit your loved ones often and attend any support programs that may be offered to you.

My loved one and family had a good experience with Brighton Gardens of Charlotte. The staff are kind, caring, and helpful. Everyone is friendly. There are meals and activities to assist with the socialization of the residents. We would recommend your loved one and family tour and meet with several communities to find the right fit for your loved one.

There are residents here from all over the country, from all sorts of backgrounds, and that makes for interesting dinner-time talk.

Advertised as senior housing but at this point several who are more in assisted living category. Grounds are lovely along with great windows. Management working to improve activities available. Meals an average plus.

One of the problems I have is getting things done. There is a lot of pass the buck here. I also think they are short on staff. My mom seems to wait a long time to get assistance to the bathroom. Like 30 minutes sometimes. The biggest problem though is the billing system. They do not have a cut and dry billing. They have a point system. They told me she needed the next care level but I have no clue what I am getting for $99 a day of care. I thought the state required a menu of charges. I don't care for this. At all.

My father is very happy at sunrise of North Hills. The staff members there are very loving and that gives me so much peace knowing he is well-taken care of. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

The size of Sunrise was most appropriate for my dad. Large enough for socializing and various activities, but not too large that would have been overwhelming. The Care Coordinators are very kind and provide excellent care. Sunrise is able to provide the higher level of individualized support required to meet my father's needs in an assisted living environment. I would recommend Sunrise of Providence to other families looking.

I would recommend them to other families. We picked this community, because it was a good location, and it allowed her to keep her cat. Also it was a reasonable cost.

My family and loved one have had a good experience with Sunrise. Everyone is friendly. The community is clean when we visit our loved one. The biggest plus for the family is that we feel comfortable having our loved one here. My loved one said we couldn't have picked a better place for them and she loves being here. We would recommend you check out the community to see if this would be a good fit for your loved one.

The staff is very pleasant at Sunrise of North Wales. They have gotten to know my father well - including his habits. Communication with the family is good. They get back to you within 24 hours. No problems with housekeeping. My father's room always looks clean. They have new furniture in all of the public sitting areas. My father's room was freshly painted and new carpet before move date. The meals are my only concern - meats are dry. They do have several food options for each sitting, which keeps my father happy. My father has no been too involved with the activities, but based on their monthly calendar there is always something to do. I would recommend Sunrise of North Wales to family and friends.

Expensive, but staff is attentive and friendly. Lots of in house services such as physical therapy. We picked this community, because of the location of the room, previous experience, and amenities.I would recommend to others.

Overall, we have had a positive experience at Sunrise of Wilmington. The leadership team really cares about their residents and the quality of care that they provide. They take concerns seriously, and investigate them thoroughly. They are also willing to spend the necessary time to speak with the resident/family and decide the best plan of action for care. A minor place for improvement would be the responsiveness of the care staff. Sometimes the wait times get a little bit long. Also, Mom has some cognitive impairment, and she may not fully be aware of her options for dinner or activities. Some of the staff will help clarify that for her, which is fantastic. Others perhaps, not so much. As for the food, I have heard complaints from other residents as well as my Mom. I have tasted the food myself and it is amazingly bland. In some cases, they make food far too spicy, and yet it is still tasteless. Many times the rice will be crunchy and hard. This is the one place where I think things could really be improved. The quality of the ingredients seem reasonable, so I think it is just in the preparation. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Our family had an in person tour with Sunrise at Bon Air and even though we did not pick it for our loved one, we still thought the tour experience and community was nice.

My mother is a resident at Sunrise of Lincoln Park and the experience has been very good to great so far. The friendliness, staff, and care are all great! I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
