What our family likes the most about the Sunrise of North Hills is the location of the community, the staff members who work there and the facilities, they are great! Base don the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families

The staff is friendly, sweet, attentive, and caring at Sunrise of Rockville. The move-in process was smooth; communication with the family was open. There was a hiccup with my loved one's medications at the beginning, but it was resolved. Families have to be pro-active to make sure that everything is operational. The meals always have soup, a main dish and a dessert. The food is bland and could use some spices and finesse. But the desserts are good. They could offer more fresh fruits. Overall, I would recommend Sunrise of Rockville to others.

My loved one was previously a resident at Sunrise of Buffalo Grove and her experience at this facility was very good overall. The cleanliness and the food were both great. The friendliness, care services, value for cost and staff were good. I will say that many of the caregivers know English as a second language, so understanding them and being understood by them was occasionally difficult. Overall, I would recommend Sunrise of Buffalo Grove to others!

We especially like the features of our first floor apartment. The entrance to the building is nearby and we like having a patio overlooking the courtyard. The courtyard is excellent for walking and enjoying the outdoors. We especially like the large rooms that accommodate our furniture from home. Special features include full kitchen and laundry area. The Activity staff have a full day’s activities every day with something to appeal to everyone’s taste. Care staff are always available.

I have been residing in Sunrise Villa Tuckahoe for about nine months. The staffs have been responsive to my needs as they arise. The room (an efficiency) is comfortable and quiet. The residents are from diverse backgrounds and are one of the best aspects of the facility. There are activities that everyone can enjoy. As in every environment, there is the occasional wait time for maintenance, but the staff are knowledgeable and efficient. Although some residents complain about the food service and quality, I find the meals are generous and palatable. In my opinion, some older residents are very hard to please when it comes to food. The only problem with food service is that for many of the servers English is their second language. This isn’t a problem for me, having learned to be brief and explicit with ESL friends and relatives. But I understand the frustrations of our older residents who are often hard of hearing to begin with. Overall, a good facility.

Sunrise is active in all of the things she gets into. They try to be on top of everything that they are involved with. The dining room displays a good time recipe to everyone all the time. They are helping you do whatever you need gel on.

Overall good. The food is good and the staff very professional and friendly. The main activities are fantastic live music every week. They have trouble being patient centric especially with those folks who need a hoyer...only certain times they will lay them down for a nap. If I am not there or if I did not have a companion for my mom they would let her sleep from 1 to 4 every afternoon. Not a whole lot of interaction or engagement between staff and those at end stage dementia. They lost the nursing dr. About a month a go and nursing is not as good.

The care staff is wonderful, and do a fantastic job. The activities team is great. Nursing staff is great. Housekeeping and maintenance do a great job. I feel that the dining experience could be improved. I would like different offerings on the menu.

Overall the resident has had a positive experience here. The staff are caring and are doing their best. The physical plant and layout is very nice, and they keep it clean and looking good. The food is typically good, but occasionally the residents have to wait awhile for their selections to be served in the dining room. Mistakes happen and menus sometimes don’t accurately reflect the options offered. Care manager staff have a lot to do including food service and getting the residents to and from their units to the dining room. On occasion there’s a walker/wheelchair traffic jam awaiting the one elevator to the 2nd floor. The nursing staff when they are on site can be helpful but after hours and on weekends there is limited coverage (just the med techs who bring the meds to the residents). Depending on the level and frequency of meds and care needs (changing patients etc) the costs are quite steep when added to the daily “rent” for the unit. Activities are in and out of bldg.

It was a lot of $$, but you got a lot for it - including peace of mind for the resident's family. We appreciated how nice everyone was, and the optional activities that filled each day for the residents. My sister and I were generally happy with the setting, and only wish my mother had gone there sooner (she passed after only three weeks of living there)

The overall community is very positive and caring. The staff and administration really create this. I also love the Smile app where I receive updates and pictures on my mom's activities. The staff seems to try to encourage the residents to get involved in various activities which is great. In terms of negatives, we had some initial issues with response time when mom was calling for a caregiver. After our care plan meeting this was quickly resolved and we haven't had issues since.

Lots of people to laugh with. The kitchen has work very hard to get me my gluten free diet so I won't get sick. I'm getting fat but I'm not complaining. A lot of happy moments in this community. Sometimes things break down like the elevator but the staff patiently assist my husband in using the stairs. I cannot thank them enough.

My loved one was previously a resident at Sunrise of Lynnfield and overall his experience at this facility was good. The staff seemed fine. The meals also seemed fine. The housekeeping was very good. The friendliness and care services were good. I found the cost of the facility to be quite expensive, however. Overall, I would recommend Sunrise of Lynnfield to family and friends.

We picked this community, because it was the only one that had a vacancy.Overpriced but good care given.

I’ve only been in residence for two days so my on site experience is limited. However my pre move in experience has been exceptional. The sales director has been my guiding light. My wife suffered a serious health set back 3 weeks prior to our move in date. We knew she was going to require some extensive rehab. She was in the ICU approximately 200 miles from the Colonnades. The whole Colonnades team pitched on to have her transferred to their skilled nursing unit. What a blessing and personal relief I felt. A big thumbs up for them!

Very welcoming, architecture is set up to be home like. Doing ok with activities, cater to most groups. Soup is good. Cooks need to taste the food. It's hard to please everyone, but it can be done. [name removed] soup is proven, I can tell when someone else Cooks the soup.

We had one incident with a fall where we didn't feel the staff responded appropriately. The food has been less than impressive however a new food staff has been hired and it seems to be getting better. Overall it isn't bad, it's been an adjustment from living entirely independently to living in a facility but over all it has been good!

I would highly recommend.Only issue I had is hard to get contact with administrators. We picked this community because of the location and price.

Friendly, knowledgeable, approachable staff. My aunt is well taken care of. She is safe and happy. If there is an issue, it is handled quickly and professionally.

The staff at Sunrise of Pikesville is very good to my father and, as I have observed, to others as well. Some residents want it now, so not everyone can be pleased. My father understands that he is not the only one they wait on. They have a daily menu for each meal which offers a variety of items that the residents choose from. They have 3 meals a day and family brunches monthly. The move in process was fine. They lend moving carts and have elevators, depending on the floor they are on. The facility is dated, as far as carpet and décor, but clean. I receive various emails to keep me informed of events and information that I may need for my dad. I have also had a call to ask me how things are going. So, the communication with the family is good. Overall, I would recommend the facility to others. They have a range of men and women that they cater to and they provide care for all kinds of different circumstances.
