Sunrise Senior Living

Overall we have had a good experience with Sunrise. There was a disconnect with the LVNs requested refill on meds directly to me, when the head nurse had them in stock in her office. (happened more than once). Other than that, my dad is receiving good care.

It was very nice but my mom didn’t feel comfortable there. She has has the final say -so. There not any openings the time of our to Sunrise of Baton Rouge.

Food is really bad - very small portions. Soup is watered down - long waits to be served Residents and most staff are very friendly - good community feeling

Extremely caring and helpful staff. They could sometimes be stretched thin, which became an issue when my mom's health worsened. But they really took care with her and I felt they created a warm environment. She didn't love the food. The rooms were clean and a decent size.

It has been a great experience overall. My father was not pleased to go but the staff are unbelievably kind and friendly. There is always something going on if you are interested stretching across areas of interest. I particularly love the cleanliness of Sunrise. I have heard horror stories of smells and unkempt facilities. This is definitely not our experience, so yes even for the most unwilling and skittish loved one considering a senior living facility, this one doesn't disappoint.

Staff was patient and kind and worked to meet my dad where he was at instead of forcing him into a routine. Assessed pain regularly and worked with hospice well. Only reason not a 5 was admin pushing for a 24/7 care giver when they had not met my father and were just carrying over notes from the prior facility.

The fact that I was leaving a large home on several acres for a small apartment. There's tons to do if you want but no pressure if you don't

Staff is all very kind and lots have been with Sunrise for several years.

While the tour and my host was excellent, the residents gave very negative reviews of their home. They said the food was terrible, the place boring & things went down hill after new owners took over. Pool being worked on, no one in gym, no one in art. What happened to busy schedule. I am not sure. The apartments were very nice and the price very reasonable.. Everyone was very friendly.

Visited rooms, common areas, and outdoor surroundings. Talked to expert staff, that was very impressive. In all, a very good experience. We plan to move my father-in-law there in the coming weeks. Many thanks to [name removed] for setting this up.

Sunrise looks like a nice community. We have looked at a number of places for my sister in law and this seems be be the right size and have all the amenities she needs.

The facility was nice and clean and the staff and the residents we saw were friendly. The only negative was there was a strong odor in the memory care unit.

The facility has a cozier feel than many other ALFs, mainly due to the building's origin as a private mansion in a residential neighborhood. I appreciated the time the sales director took to show me around and go over the pricing and care tiers.

They have been taking real good care of dad and mom. Dad has been enjoying the meals very much. The staff and hospice have been taking real good care of mom. Experienced and friendly staff who has cared for our mom in memory care and dad in assisted living.

The staff is very friendly, helpful, understanding, truly caring & supportive. The facility has more of a nice home setting - bright - verses an institutional look & feel.

They could not keep the head of the aides (called care managers). In the year my mom was there, the first one left 3 months after my mom got there which was probably about 6 months after she started, then we went 3 months without one. The next one lasted about 4 months. And there was nobody for my mom's last couple of months. Head nurse left and it took 6 months to replace her. My mom's regular care manager there was amazing and some of the nurses were also great. There were a couple of issues over the year but they did address them.

Overall the staff was very good. They could improve on their response time when the residents press their button calling for help. I think they are regularly short on staff

We chose Brighton Gardens because of the location and the sales representative was very warm and friendly with my family member. The portal is not always the easiest thing to access. It kicks you out and hard to get a hold of corporate to reset password.

Nobody is perfect. But sunrise. Buckhead is as good as I can imagine any place being honestly. The people are friendly and helpful. They have gotten to know my dad pretty quickly and treat him with respect. The facilities are always immaculate and the food is exceptional!

Staff really cares and is attentive to resident needs. I would recommend to others.
