Sunrise Senior Living

My father in law is 90yrs old. Until Jan of this year, he was a very self sufficient WWII Marine Raider Vet who lost his wife 4 yrs prior. When his health started to diminish, we had to find a place that was close by, clean, friendly and safe. When we toured this facility, we all fell in love with it. It's like a bed and breakfast with its quaint porches, and charming decor. We met with Craig the Director who carefully listened to our various concerns and needs. His kindness and commitment matched perfectly with our needs. He went above and beyond what I think his role is and now Nat (Father in Law) is comfortly happy and healthy living at the Sunrise House. He's already started to make friends and has won 16 Bingo games! Thank you Sunrise House, and a big thank you to Craig for doing all that you did for our family. We are looking forward to celebrating dad's 90th birthday on May 31st in the activities room where his whole family can celebrate dad's new chapter of life!

My uncle has been in Sunrise Assisted Living in Silver Spring, Maryland, 20904 (White Oak) since approximately mid-February. I could not be more pleased. They do a great job of everything. My uncle is like a different person since he's been there. They also do a very good of involving the residents in the activities. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I have been very impressed with Belmont Village in Thousand Oaks. They really pay attention to details. The staff is very friendly, and the food is great.

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. Sunrise of Braintree looked like a very nice place, overall! The staff were friendly, and they really seem to focus on the care of each patient as an individual. They looked like they had a good variety of activities, and have an on-site wellness center. It was also very clean, and I liked that outside of each wing they had a living room type area with a TV for people to socialize in.

I have been very, very pleased. The Sunrise of Wall is a very nice community. The only thing is that my mom has to use a walker to get around. Most of the activities she can't join because the transportation does not have handicap access. She doesn't enjoy the meals but it may be because she is a picky eater. I would say she needs more supervision when it comes to eating. Other than that, This is a friendly and clean facility. Everything has been excellent.

I was a visitor touring the Sunrise of Mill Basin. I was very impressed by the clean and well kept facility. The staff was wonderful. They were very kind. The residents were nice as well. This is a nice community. I can't rate the value, care services, and activities at this moment. Overall, This is a nice place.

My experience finding a new home for my aunt was very pleasant from the day I met with Debra, who gave me a tour of the facility and answered all the questions and concerns I had about placing my aunt in Sunrise. She moved in at the end of February and everyone has been wonderful. The nursing staff, especially Carmelita, are always available and if not, they get back to me quickly to answer any questions I may have. The entire group at Sunrise are pleasant and welcoming and I feel that my aunt is in a very safe, warm environment. The residents are social and there are many activities to participate in If one chooses. One of the main reasons we selected Sunrise is the fact that one can "age in place", meaning that if her health declines she can stay there and will not need to be moved again to another facility. She seems happy and I have a great level of comfort and peace of mind knowing she will be well cared for.

We moved our dad, who has Alzheimer's, into Sunrise's Reminiscence Neighborhood after our mom died. It was a difficult decision for us and very important that he have a safe and comfortable environment with caring staff. Every employee, no matter what their responsibilities, is friendly and welcoming. The facility is clean (and smells clean) and is tastefully appointed with lovely outdoor sitting areas. Dad is free to come and go under our supervision. In addition to complete freedom to roam his neighborhood, he has access to other areas of the facility when accompanied by his care givers, something not offered at all memory care places. His care team is assigned to him and a few others so they really get to know him.

Great place. Very nice and clean. Had a great time talking with the nurses and sales people. They have a puppy on site for the residents. Memory care center is separate with courtyard and own activities area. Definite contender.

The people at Sunrise of Chandler are all extremely compassionate. They work very well with the residents. I do wish that they had more activities, and also better meal service for the memory care patients. I think it's better on the assisted living side than on the memory care side.

I was very happy with them. We were only there for a short stay, but I didn't have any concerns, or complaints, over how clean it was kept or how friendly the staff was. They did a great job.

After extensive research into assisted living options for my mother, my wife and I couldn't be more thrilled with our decision to go with Brighton Gardens. In the little more than 2 months that she has been here, mom's physical condition has improved dramatically and she has never had so much social interaction (which she thrives on) with the wonderful residents here. We knew that the quality of food would be important for her and she takes to the daily menus with gusto and reports being extremely pleased with the quality and quantity. Finally the dedication and conscientiousness displayed by the care managers couldn't be more wonderful! They are patient, attentive and highly creative.

I am very pleased with my wife's care @Huntington common in Kennebunk Maine !

We have been very happy with the staff and services offered at Huntcliff Summit. The key to this transition is the input and support of the new resident's family during their transition into the community. Residents have the opportunity to be busy all day long at Huntcliff due to the large calendar of events that are offered. The large living area at the main lobby is a wonderful meeting area for residents and families and exudes the warmth that we were looking for.

Our experience with Sunrise of Park Ridge has been a good one overall! It is a nice looking place, the facility is well kept and clean, and they take good care of the people who live here.

The first contact with Sunrise of Newtown Square was Nicki Beekman when my husband and I toured the facility when we were searching for a place for his brother. She answered every question we had and we knew then that this was where we wanted his brother to be. His brother will be moving in in the next few days, and we just moved his furniture in yesterday and everything went smoothly. Needless to say, we appreciate the compassion and concern that both Nicki and Paul Barlow have showed us during this stressful time. The feeling we had when we toured Sunrise was it was a resort, and not an assisted living facility.

First impressions mean everything and when Mom entered the facilities at Sunrise the staff went out of their way to make Mom feel welcome.

It's been fantastic. Shelby worked with me really quickly in an emergency situation with very little time. Everyone is trained pretty well over there. It's really clean. The food is fantastic, it's a restaurant style dining and she loves it. The nursing care could be a little more inclusive, they don't bathe, or cut nails or things, mostly just medications. I would recommend them to anyone. She has been out participating, and she is not a social butterfly. I don't have to worry at all. They don't accept medicaid, so down the line that might be an issue.

My dad has been a resident of Sunrise Glen Cove for one month. I have been very impressed with the level and quality of care that he has received. He suffers from mild cognitive impairment and also has diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. He has had some medical issues and the responsiveness of the staff has been tremendous, and now that he is actually receiving the proper medications on the proper schedule his condition is actually improving. It is hard to gauge the level of activities because it has been impossible to go out because of the weather. His only continued complaint is that the dining room is very understaffed, the food takes a long time to come out, and they actually ran out of food (eggs) at breakfast a week ago. His impression of some of the other staff is that their hearts are not into it, but my interactions have all been very positive.

My father moved into the memory care floor last month. I am there almost every single day for several hours. I have gotten to know many people that work there on a first name basis, as well as several of the residents. I LOVE this place and told my kids this is where I want to live in 30 years. They have so many activities and what I call "happy hour" every day that it is more of a resort than an assisted living facility. It is gorgeous and the food always smells delicious. My father, while he doesn't want to live there, does like the food and thinks everyone (except the person in charge of reminding him to bath) is really nice. He loves the resident dog and cat and wishes he could have them for his own. But he does have his own small dog and the other residents love to see him and pet him when my dad will share.
