Sunrise Senior Living

The staff at this community are wonderful, nurturing and caring. My husband has been in the hospital and some of them came to visit and have been calling to check on him. The food was ok and they keep the community very clean. He was not able to participate in the activities offered. I would recommend this community to family and friends.

I took a tour of this community and just from the looks I would have chosen this community. The main reason we did not choose this community as it was a little far for my brother to drive. It seemed to offer the same amenities as the community we did choose.

This is a lovely facility. They are caring for my mother and her needs well. The community is well-kept for the most part, but we a problem with a strong urine smell in her room, and it took them a month and half to fix it. For the most part the staff is amazing, they are like our family. The grounds of the community look beautiful. I know she is receiving great care and I would recommend it.

My Husband is doing very well here at this community. They are taking good care of him and his needs. The community is well maintained and very clean. He is getting his physical therapy and occupational therapy right here at this community. They offer a wide variety of activities. The food is wonderful, we love the meals. He is receiving great care. This is a facility I would recommend.

Dad was only in assisted living for a short time before we had to move him to the memory care unit. The staff are great as they all know him and they are very accommodating. I have tried the food and it is great. They are very flexible about getting him what he likes. I would recommend this community.

I feel this community is good, it is up kept and clean for the most part. I can only suggest more frequent mopping of the floors and to just check on it more. The food seems to be good for Dad, he has not yet to complain. The staff are great and I am grateful for Theodore, he is the activities manager, he is very, very good at what he provides and know what he is doing. I only had one issue but it was resolved in the most proper and effective manner. The staff are more cautious to not make that same mistake and I would recommend this community.

My Aunt, who is 89 years old has only been there 3 weeks at this point in time but she seems more alert and is standing more erect. I call on a regular basis and she raves about the food and the activities. We had a move in day fiasco and the staff was very accommodating even holding dinner for my family since we were so late. Please note my aunt was totally against assisted living until we went to Sunrise of Morris Plains and she was impressed with the friendly atmosphere upon arrival and decided to look the place over completely and made her decision that day. Thanks for the referral. I am referring a place for mom to everyone.

Very uplifting for hospice residents

Sunrise has been a life changing upgrade for Mom. Now we are convinced and confident that she is well taken care of in a clean, HAPPY, efficient manner. Thanks to A Place For Mom for guiding us there.

My mom left an independent living with private care to come here. Of course she preferred care beside her all day than shared care at any assisted living, but the private care was not sustainable financially. The people here are kind and seem to really care. After lots of searching we chose Brighton Dunwoody and are happy with our decision. She is not happy with the change, but that is to be expected.

My mom has been a resident @ Sunrise of Severna Park for 4 weeks now. She has received excellent care! She loves the food and really enjoys the activities. All of the staff I have encountered on my visits have been most helpful and kind to us. I was able to join my mom for dinner in the dining room and also played along at Bingo. All the residents received a small prize, which I think was wonderful! She told me she has danced with the Naval Academy Midshipmen, a special treat since she has always loved to dance! I shopped for a new home for mom for over 1 year, making many visits to multiple AL communities. Sunrise is equal to or superior to all of the others in every aspect!!!

My dad is still settling into Sunrise of Willowbrook. He is in independent living and the staff are there for him if he needs anything. The medical staff show an interest in how he is doing and keep us updated. Dad rides his bike numerous times a week and is slowly making friends. I cannot say anything about the food as I have not tried it. I would recommend this community.

I have no complaints about the staff at Sunrise of Park Ridge. They are friendly and seem attentive to the residents. I have not tried the food yet but my mom thinks it is too bland for her. They have activities for the residents but I am not sure if she has participated in any. I also wanted to thank A Place for Mom for their help.

Patient care is excellent. Staff is polite, positive and sincerely care about the patients. Facility is excellent and househeeking is well done. Almost like a Marriott or Hilton property. Food is excellent from my experience. My loved one is quite happy. Communications from sales and admin staff can be better to provide timely notice, avoid confusion and wasted effort on paperwork, payments along with clear expectations regarding patient service and associated costs.

My mother has been at Sunrise in Pikesville, Maryland for two weeks now. We were a little apprehensive because we had toured the facility with my mother and told us that she did not want to move there. My mother is in the Reminiscence Program. Well, she is adjusting quite well. First, I will attribute this to the excellent staff in Reminiscence. The staff is caring and it is clear that they know the residents well; the staff who tends to my mother are up to date with her progress. I receive phone calls at least three times a week and I am told how my mother is doing. I visit my mother for an hour every day and at first, I felt bad because I cared for her before she went to Sunrise. I immediately saw that my mother liked where she was. The social interactions with the staff and other residents, as well as the activities offered made the difference. The Reminiscence floor is cheerful. The rooms are spacious with large windows and are kept very clean. The food is carefully prepared and quite good. I will say without equivocation that Sunrise of Pikesville is a great place for your loved one. For me, there aspic of mind knowing that my mother is safe and cared for by a staff that is genuine. My mother has told me several times how "nice the people" are.

This is truly a lovely community and we are very pleased. The community looks great, it is cleaned very often and smells great. I would say my daughter picked one the best community's in the area. Nothing is perfect, but everyone here is very friendly and kind. The staff is wonderful, they are affectionate and they take the time to really get to know your loved one. The food is excellent, they have very wide selection of food and the desserts are "outrageous", very delicious. This a costly community, but I would say it is worth it. The only thing I would like to see is more activities for brain stimulation. They are caring for him well at this community and I would highly recommend it.

We are very pleased with the Sunrise in Highland Park. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The place is very bright and cheery and is welcoming. My Father is a diabetic. His sugar has greatly improved since living at Sunrise.
