Sunrise Senior Living

I have been here for a few years now and have made a lot of friends. The staff members are very nice and quite responsive when I need something. I would recommend Sunrise of Connecticut Ave to other families.

The facility is good so far. They have a tough job in memory care and they do it well. I really like the staff and they're well structured here. I also really like mom's room, its very bright and cheery. Housekeeping keeps the rooms clean and laundry is done. I like that they offer 3 meals a day and have options. I would recommend them to family and friends.

I toured this facility and it was very nice! They did only offer 2 meals a day, instead of 3 and we preferred 3 a day. They also didn't offer the call/help button necklace, which was very important to us. I'd still recommend them as an option to others!

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really nice tour experience, it was one of our top choices but at the time our loved one was not ready for assisted living, but Sunrise will be a great starting point if or when our loved one needs more assistance.

My mom came in at the entry level. She had a shared suite which was great. Both ladies had their own room and private bathroom with a great safe shower. This was a great value but as soon as one needs more assistance with daily living, the value goes quickly down. It became unaffordable with private pay. I only wish that we could have afforded to stay there. Still, I give Sunrise Of Sheepshead Bay Assisted Living the highest rating. They also play great music! The most wonderful thing about this place is that they communicate with the families. They are on top of their residents care. You get the feeling from the people who work there, that they love their job. It is also a warm, spacious and airy environment. Soft colors and beautifully decorated.

Our family had been really happy with the experience so far, we have been very impressed with the care our loved one has received. The community is very clean and the staff members have been nothing but loving, caring, attentive and patient with our loved one and the other residents. They do have quite a few activities going on, and even though our loved one is on a special diet what we can see of the other meals they look pretty good.

We've had a very favorable experience at Sunrise of Northville. It was a fairly easy transition for my loved one. And the staff and care have been fine.

The staff are very welcoming not only to the residents but to the families that come and visit. There is great diversity within the staff and residents - not only race and gender, but almost everybody here is able to connect with someone based on their backgrounds. it is a very welcoming and inclusive environment and based on our overall experience so far we would recommend them to other families.

Sunrise of Willowbrook is well kept and very clean. The staff is up to date on medical procedures and extremely friendly. They make you feel welcome and they provide activities for residents.

Everything is going well. I have no complaints. The staff is excellent. The facility is very clean. The residents are well taken care. My loved one eats the food and seems happy with it. In the memory care section, they're constantly doing activities. The only thing is It's very expensive.

Our loved one always tells us how comfortable she is at Brighton Gardens and how well taken care of she is and how safe she feels. The meals and dining service could be a little better improved when it comes to the dining staff and their overall communication. Sometimes communication gets lost between staff and residents when it comes to the meals they like and do not like. It is very very expensive, but for our loved one to feel safe and well taken care of it is worth every penny.

If your person (like my loved one), is really picky about everything, then I recommend that you try to get somebody to come in to give more one-on-one care - and that would apply to ANY facility you choose. I was happy with Brighton Gardens during the short time my loved one was there. The staff were all very friendly, and I was quite happy with them. It's not the most expensive place, but certainly not the cheapest. But I think it was a good value.

This was a nice community. It was more than we wanted to spend. They charge for laundry service if they do it, or the machines is coined based.

The Brighton Gardens staff accommodated me even though I was there at a time that they were not expecting me. They were flexible and each of the staff members showed me around and took their time without acting put off. I was very impressed by how professional they were. The reason we did not choose this facility was just due to the set up of the room. I would not hesitate recommending this facility to others based off of what I saw.

We were very nicely greeted at Sunrise of Morris Plains, and the tour was very informative. I really loved [name removed]. She was so energetic and nice. And you could tell that she knows every resident there. The facility just wasn’t quite as new as the place we chose.

Sunrise is a great alternative if you have to put a loved one in memory care. They make it the best that the situation can be. The staff are very available, professional, and caring in answering our questions or addressing our concerns about our loved one. The communication is really good with the staff. The care is good. There are little things that could be altered to be a better experience. However, I feel that my loved one is safe and cared for. Medication management, bathing, hygiene, and dressing assistance is some of the care the community provides for my loved one. The apartment, utilities, laundry, changing of linens, housekeeping, and all the meals are included in the monthly fee. The food seems average. My loved one isn't very fond of the food offered. Some of the activities the community has musicians, sing alongs, movement exercises, painting, short walks outside, and more for the residents to choose from.

My mom just got there, but she seems content. My moms very happy, very busy, and very active. They have great socialization and activities going on, she also likes the food. Everything has been all good, I have no complaints because she's happy and its working out!

Sunrise of Norwood is a very beautiful building, it feels very homey. The staff members were very friendly. The director would come in and sit with our loved one and our family when we would visit with her assistant and we did enjoy their company. The staff were all very professional also.

We went with Sunrise of Crestwood because the location was close to me and also the value for the money. The director of sales gave us a 50% discount off of the community fee. The activities are a little more basic here than some of the other places I visited, but they are perfect for her. The staff are very welcoming to family members to come visit and they are responsive to concerns you may have when you bring them up. I would recommend this facility to others looking.
