Sunrise Senior Living

That's where we chose for my mother, and we're extremely pleased. The professionalism of the staff, from the sales staff to the caregiver assigned to my mother is excellent. They're very friendly, very accommodating. If we wanted to improve mother's room, they were available to help hang pictures or to help us in any way. The caregiver assigned to my mother made a point of telling us that she would be available at any time, for any reason, and the care programs at the other communities we looked at seemed a little sketchy in that regard.

My mother's there, and they're a 5 out of 5. The friendliness of the staff, the overall atmosphere (her apartment is gorgeous) stood out from the other places we looked at. I think the value's great, and their care services are good too. There is a nurse who visits on a regular basis and the office is open daily for blood pressure checks.

Sunrise @ Fleetwood is nestled in quite Mt. Vernon community with 5 star amenities to care for your loved one's under the supervision of friendly staff; which I appreciate & highly recommend.

Very nice place with everything provided but my father is not going to move from his house.

We're very happy and my mother-in-law is very happy. I think the price is reasonable for the level of attention and the amenities. It's a good value. My mother-in-law doesn't participate in the activities but there are a lot offered. They do things with music and movie nights and I believe they do games and things like that. If anybody that I knew was looking for a recommendation of a place I would certianly highly recommend it. They do a very good job and seem to be very caring and attentive to the residents.

They were able to provide a better price then the comparable communities. When your loved one is on a fixed income a couple hundred dollars can make a big difference. Overall the community is very nice and we are glad we chose it. It seems like we made a good choice.

(Value not rated too soon) We chose this community because they had immediate availability for a 1 bedroom apartment. The apartment is 441 sqft and has a bathroom, living room and kitchenette. The care that they offer is really good. The location is very convenient for our family. The staff was very accommodating and willing to help the residents. We are please with Sunrise and would recommend them to anyone.

Everyone was very friendly and responsive.

Everybody is very friendly. They know my name, they know my mom's name - it's very positive. They have movie outings, shopping, socials, bingo, and games. It seems to be a pretty active community. My mom likes it quite a bit. They are super easy to work with and seem to have plenty of staff on hand, especially compared to other places we've been to. It's nice to know there is always someone available and ready to help out. Everyone on the staff knows everyone there. It's fantastic!

Stratford Court was the first and only independent living facility my husband and I visited. We both found the site independently on the web and it met our most important [removed] clean and attractive 2) plenty of activities and transportation 3) within our price range 4) all levels of care and 5) location, location, location! Why would we look any further? It only kept getting better when we secured an apt. That very morning that was being renovated plus more [removed] doctors that visit the premises, weekly housekeeping, a beautiful pool... This place was formerly a Marriott and it looked it! Our admissions coordinator, Debbie Rutland, was lovely, warm and friendly. My mother came in from an independent living facility in the Midwest so she knew how these places operate. While she has been a bit taken aback by the typical, (a few unfriendly) personalities of the majority population of northeasterners, it has been a very manageable adjustment for her!

Brighton Gardens was just a really fantastic community. They were recommended by a staff member at a previous community our loved one was staying in. We are glad we chose those it really was just a fantastic community.

I just moved my mom in on Saturday. She's doing great. She's adjusting very well. Nothing she doesn' t like. You can pick and choose what you want to do. The staff is very friendly and nice. Just like everywhere else, you find the residents you like and there will always be ones you don't so you stick with the ones you like. She realized that this is a good thing and she's happy. The sales person that we spoke to was not as knowledgable as she could've been. We sorted it out and everything worked out.

My father is in minimal care and I think they do a pretty good job. I'm satisfied. No complaints so far. It's very clean and very friendly. Everybody seems like they're ready to help you any way they can. I would recommend it to someone. It's seem expensive, but relatively speaking it's in line with everything else available for the care we're getting. My father is doing some exercise class and is looking forward to going on some of their trips in the future. Tracy, from A Place for Mom, did a wonderful job following up.

Very nice community that would clearly be able to meet all of my mom's needs. There were a lot of people in the common areas which is a plus. However, the cost is pretty high and my mom would run out of money in a few months and have to move again.

Loved this facility. The staff was great with the residents. Loved the philosophy. Most residents seemed happy there. (Wish they took better care of their animals, however. Cages not well thought out and too dirty. Why have birds if you don't have someone to properly care for them?) Still this was a real possibility for mom. Liked the water views. We would have placed her here, but the Woodcliff Lake facility will be more convenient for us when we are away for the respite ourselves this summer. We may consider Mill Basin in the future.

We chose Sunrise because we liked it and thought our loved one would like it as well. So far we are very pleased and our loved one likes it. The cleanliness of the community and the fact the people were outgoing really made it a good community.

We chose this community because they were able to provide the level of care we need for our loved one. The staff was very friendly and seemed happy to welcome them to the community. We are happy we found a place that would fit our situation.

Good choice

After checking out about a half dozen other facilities we chose the Sunrise of Ft Worth because of its appearance and the friendliness of their staff. This is not a permanent place for my loved one, we are just using Sunrise for respite care.
