Sunrise Senior Living

Everything is going very well for my in laws. We are very pleased with this community and everything they have done for us. The community is very clean and very well-kept. The staff is great they are always willing to help. They do enjoy the meals and the activities. Overall everything is working out great and I would recommend this community.

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. I was very impressed by what I saw of Sunrise of Mill Basin, it was a nice looking facility and the residents seemed well cared for. We ended up selecting a different Sunrise community, and things have turned out very well there.

Our experience with Sunrise at Sheepshead Bay has been a very good one, overall. I've been very impressed by the service and care provided by their memory care unit. The facility is secure, clean, and well kept, and the attendants are very attentive to the needs of the residents for the most part. It's very expensive, but he level of service they provide is also very high.

Sunrise has been so kind and so accommodating on working with our situation and getting my mother in law admitted on really short notice. The staff is very kind the facilities are very nice.

Very beautiful and well appointed building in a good part of Jacksonville. Large covered terraces across the front of the building. It feels like a large home when you enter, and the staff is very attentive and engaged with the residents. Apartments are fairly small but very bright. Great approach to care for residents with Care Managers and not moving residents as care needs increase over time. Staff members obviously communicate well together and seem to all be on the same page. Daily snacks available, which was a nice treat.

We are so thankful to have found such a wonderful home at Brighton Gardens for our uncle who has dementia and resides in Reminiscence care. From the interview process to moving him in to his new home, the staff at BG has been exemplary. Since day one, they have treated him like a member of a close knit family with love, consideration and kindness. They are a staff of truly caring individuals with a servant's heart. My uncle has been a resident now for over 3 years and we hope that he will be able to live out his life in the care of these special people. Aksel, the care manager has gone above and beyond to help our family with decisions for our uncle which are in our uncle's best interest. While some assisted living homes appear to be run as a business, Brighton Gardens stands aside as a home whose staff truly cares for their residents and their families.

After her first site visit to Sunrise at Hillcrest my mother commented, "it's so homey". This was uplifting to me because I knew she was going to be happy there. The property has a bed and breakfast 'feel' to it, and the staff treats the residents like they are family. I have nothing but praise for Melissa, the general manager, right on down to Frieda and Vickie who man the front desk. Everyone is warm, courteous, professional and just plain nice people. I highly recommend Sunrise at Hillcrest, I'm glad my mother calls this home.

The care the the Sunrise staff provided my Mother was outstanding. In the short month she was there for hospice care, her condition rapidly deteriorated. The staff was always so kind, patient and caring to her. I recall one staff member so sweetly feeding her and coaching her eat just days before she passed. The care she recieved gave me such comfort. My father was so impressed with the facility that he decided to move there. He is very happy living there now and I am relieved to know that he is safe and being cared for now that he no longer has his wife to look out for him. The staff there is so attentive, I know my father is in very good hands.

Beautiful facility, clean, well-maintained. Staff are friendly and professional. I was touring to find appropriate care for my mother with dementia. I was very impressed with their Reminiscence unit and us of Validation Method to interact with people with cognitive impairment. Their whole program is designed to optimize cognitive and physical function of the residents. Each person is treated with dignity, respect, kindness and compassion. There is a waiting list, so currently no bed available for my mom. I am in the process now of having my mother evaluated by her doctor and neurologist. I would definitely select Sunrise for my mom.

We're very pleased with how things turned out at Sunrise of Chesterfield, it's a very nice place! It's on the smaller side, and the whole place just has a very tight-knit sociable feel. The staff really treat the residents like family! The aides are friendly, professional, and very patient, and they take great care of the people who live here!

We are very pleased with this community and my mother is doing very well. We absolutely love this community everyone here is super friendly. It is very clean and looks very nice. The staff is very helpful and super kind to us. They do offer good activities to keep the residents busy. She would say the food is fair. The communication between me and staff has been great. It has been a great experience and they are caring for my mother very well.

My father is doing very well at this community. They are caring for him very good and I know he is happy and safe. The community looks great, it is very clean and someone is always cleaning. The staff is good and they have been very helpful and kind to us. They have good activities for the residents and the food is nice. I would recommend this community because they are caring for my father very well.

I truly appreciate all the help with making the transition for my mom. Holly was so out-going and compassionate, it made it an easy choice to make regarding what facility we would be the best fit for my mom. Charley has also been tremendously helpful!

Every member of the team went out of their way to make my Aunt feel at home. What a wonderful place.

Where should I begin? The journey of having an aging parent with Alzheimer's really is a tough one. Brighton Gardens staff have been nothing short of exceptional throughout this entire process (from the greeters at the front desk baking cookies to the caregivers doing hard work with a smile). I am a nurse myself and have seen and given a lot of care. The caregivers here are beyond what money can pay for them to do their job. Led by an excellent team leader, Axsel, this group of staff truly feel the love for their clients. From comforting hand holding to painting nails to just listening to the clients. My Dad entered looking pretty bad and is now thriving and in the best condition he has been in for sometime now. The staff makes the difference and no job is ever too big or too small. Not to mention that it is beyond clean and a lovely environment filled with music, pet and even natural light therapy (with bird noises) for the residents to enjoy. My Dad is happier than he has been and so are we. I feel 100% secure that they will do what is best for him and we are much appreciative! What a gift to have so many dedicated and loving employees all in one facility! Thank you Brighton Gardens!

I am very pleased with everything this community has done for my mother and I. She has adjusted well to the community and seem to like it. She is getting very involved in the community. They keep her busy with all the activities they offer. She likes the food and the other residents. The staff is super nice and pleasant they are caring for my mother very well. The community is great looking and very clean. Overall it has been a good experiences for us. So I would recommend it.

Well maintained friendly staff

Our parents have been there for a few weeks and so far the care has been excellent. They have been in touch with us every step of the way. Kenda, Christina and Ola have been very receptive to our calls and to the great care they are giving.

Since July 2015 I have made my home with my husband at Sunrise of Rockville. My husband is a wheelchair bound stroke victim, who requires assistance with toiletry and bathing. The reason why I chose to live in this facility was because of the kindness of Clinton Thomas, the executive director, and his very friendly staff. It has been nine months now since we moved here from another senior home and we have never regretted our decision. This place is homelike with good healthy meals and caring staff who always try their very best to help me care for my husband. I highly recommend Sunrise of Rockville for anyone who is seeking care for family members!

My In-Laws were very apprehensive as many are about moving after being in their home for many years. After visiting several places, we immediately felt at home at Huntcliff Summit II. Being new to the process, we were helped step by step to make the move as easy as possible. The environment is so comfortable, clean, nice smelling, happy, inviting, well lit, and you hear music in the background often. The staff are ALL wonderful, exceptional people, and most important to my In-Laws, they like the food! I have continued to be surprised and pleased at the care they have received. The staff seems to go out of their way to make residents happy. They are so thoughtful and I hear compliments all the time. What a relief knowing they are in such a great place!
