Sunrise Senior Living

My MIL has been in the assisted living side for about 3 weeks now and is doing great! The food is very good and we all love the staff. I've seen a few not only hug her, but also give her a sweet kiss. They have been very willing to work with her on everything that's come up- from her pain, to her schedule and helping with her dog. And the beautiful landscaping is second to none! I truly appreciate these people who give so much to care for the elderly- it's a rare gift to our family.

My parents are doing great at this community. They really care about their residents. I really enjoy the staff, they have been very friendly and welcoming. They keep the community very clean and everything looks nice and neat. There are many activities for the residents to choose from. The meals are nice and hot. I've tried the food and it tastes great. They are caring for my parents very well.

I'd highly recommend Sunrise of Flossmoor. I moved my 92-year-old mom there a year ago when she reached the point of needing assisted living. She could get around on her own (with a walker) and was mentally alert, but definitely slowing down and getting forgetful. There are several aspects of Sunrise that make it a great place. 1) The staff is very attentive to health care needs and in keeping the family informed. My mom has needed extra health services, including for leg sores from poor circulation (which she has had on & off for years). As soon as it flared up, they arranged for visiting nurse services and then let me know. As her forgetfulness started to get worse, they arranged for a therapist for work on memory improvement and let me know. (All covered by Medicare). I feel that I don't have to worry at all about her being well cared for. 2) The residence is home like and the staff is universally warm and outgoing. Overall, the atmosphere is friendly and upbeat. 3) There are diverse activities everyday covering all sorts of interests. Including an afternoon social at 2:30 almost daily. Who doesn't enjoy getting together with others in the middle of the afternoon for an ice cream social or taco party? It's very reassuring to me knowing that my mom has interesting programs to participate in every day. I'm not sure that this written description adequately describes the outstanding place this is for a family member who can no longer live alone. All I can say is, definitely take a look at Sunrise if you're looking for an assisted living residence.

I have only been at Whispering Chase for a short time but I know I made the right choice moving in and I should have made the move earlier. There are a lot of nice fixtures and paintings in the community as well as the grounds are amazingly maintained by a great cleaning staff. The entire staff is exceptional as they are professional as well as friendly. The food is good and getting better. I have not yet participated in any of the activities offered as I am still settling in. The other residents are friendly and I feel pampered since moving in and I would recommend the community to anyone.

Very caring, friendly, competent and professional. Beautiful facility, well maintained and very secure. Large rooms, beautiful view, large closet. Food is great! Many activities and great staff.

My Father has been a resident at Sunrise for two months . The Staff is always very helpful and friendly. The staff has helped a great deal with my Fathers transition into Sunrise . My Father enjoys the activities and loves having a resident dog at the home .

Awesome but 7 k per month Got a great feel for the place upon entering and the staff were all very attentive and friendly

Sunrise at Pinehurst was definitely the right place for my mom. She has settled in well and even likes to participate in the variety of activities offered. The community is well maintained inside and out. The registration process went very smoothly as the entire staff is great and helpful. I would recommend this community as I have felt comfortable with the way the staff has kept me updated with my mothers care.

Although moving a family member into a Senior community can be a stressful time all of the employees at Sunrise made this a wonderful and smooth transition. The facility is beautiful and clean. The care that has been received exceeds our expectations and we are so appreciative.

Ron [removed] was excellent in providing us information on how to make a transition from a private home to an apartment. He was patient and cooperative. We asked for an alteration in the apt. - to widen doorway to bathroom so that a walker might be safely used to enter it. That was done when we moved in. All the staff seem friendly and willing to assist us, from the front desk to the chef to the dining room manager.

I think they do a very nice job at Sunrise on Providence. The people here are friendly, professional, and really on top of things when it comes to care. I like that they push Dad to get involved in activities instead of just sitting in his room all day. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the residents all seem well cared for.

I think they are excellent. Everybody there is wonderful. They definitely put the resident first. The caregivers are excellent and that's why we chose them. It's very clean, the people are very well trained and sweet, even in difficult situations. I liked their overall mission statement, and the location was ideal for us.

Our Advisor with A Place for Mom Susan Vaccaro was definitely a great help with her referral to Brighton Gardens. My father has settled in nicely under the circumstances. The staff is proactive and try to assist with anything they possibly can. I have become pals with the personal care staff and they have checked on me a couple of times to make sure all is well. The sales team was also great to work with. Dad is not the interactive type so he has not participated in many of the activities offered. He does like the food as well as the company of the 2 gentlemen he eats with. I am very pleased with this community so far.

Very impressed with Highlandpark Sunrise. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. My Father enjoys many of the activities and will participate. My Father has diabetes and it is reassuring he is receiving his insulin by the nursing staff .

We toured Sunrise when looking into senior care options for a loved one. I thought Sunrise of Leominster seemed like a very nice looking place, and while we ended up selecting another community I would recommend Sunrise as being worth a look.

My Grandmother is a current resident of Parkwood Estates and so far we are very happy with the place. Unfortunately she is sick right now and in rehab recovering. The staff at Parkwood are all very nice and welcoming and really make an effort to make sure she is comfortable in her new home. So far we are pleased!

Love the neighborhood idea. Love the philosophy of discouraging residence of staying in their room.

My parents moved here over a year ago because they needed more care services. They are on the younger side of the population, but they both needed additional care so thats why we chose Sunrise. I have been so impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The nursing staff has been a huge help and they are very proactive and in tune with m y parents needs. The Care Staff that helps them with hygiene assistance are so warm and caring. My mom has dementia and she totally trusts them. When I bring my parents back to Sunrise after outings someone is always there to greet them at the door to say hello or assist them in any way. I like the fact that it is a smaller more intimate community. The residents are in their late golden years and not very active, but the care they get is top notch!

I truly believe it was divine intervention that lead me to a Place for Mom. I had never heard of a Place for Mom and had no idea my mother could live in an assisted living home, due to the constant care she needs. Sunrise was the perfect place for Mom. The entire staff at Sunrise has been wonderful in their care, compassion, and treatment my mother is receiving. If it wasn't for Kerry at a Place for Mom, I don't know where she would be today. Mom has confirmed with us that she loves her homelike suite, and their resident dog, Molly! Love the entire staff as well. With heartfelt thanks!
