Sunrise Senior Living

We chose Brighton Gardens of Charlotte because of the cleanliness, the atmosphere and the location. It is in the center of town, so it is easy for the residents to go anywhere. If your family comes to visit there is a lot of places to walk, to eat, go shopping, etc. The front porch of the building is nice scenery to go sit outside. I would recommend, but beware about the price inflation.

We chose this facility because my cousins visited a bunch of them and Sunrise was the most welcoming, friendly, most home-like environment of all of them. It really made sense for someone who had never been in a facility before. The room sizes are more than adequate. I ate here many times and the food was excellent. They had a lot of variety and it was chef prepared on site. I would recommend Sunrise at Bon Air.

If we could give the staff a 10 our of 10 stars we would, they are great. The grounds at this community are absolutely beautiful, the entire place is covered in flowers all around the rooms. The rooms provided for the residents are awesome, they are very spacious and very cozy. Our loved one didn't always participate in the activities but they had bingo, care games, a bus service that would take them up to the casino. They have an expensive library, and an audio system in there in case you have trouble reading. For those residents that are of Italian denomination, there is a catholic school across the street that arranged an Italian festival with a huge feast. Our loved one is a pretty picky eater, and she absolutely loves the food, she is very happy with it.

I only had two months of information before we moved our loved one to a community in Minnesota. My ratings are based on the two months my loved one was there. I found everyone to be friendly and easy to work with. [name removed] made it feel very comfortable from the moment I walked in. My loved one didn't participate in the activities due to her leaving the community quickly.

Sunrise of Mill Basin is a great community, however it is a little pricey. It felt like you were going on a vacation when you entered the building, it had a very warm feeling to it. We do wish they have more physical therapy for the residents, but they did offer great activities. They had art classes, an outside garden area in the back where you could look over the bay. They have baking clubs, trivia, music trivia, music appreciation and movie nights. They also would have live music performers come in. If you didn't want to participate in the activities there were plenty of quiet areas you could go relax and do something you think is enjoyable. The food at this community was pretty okay, they had two different dining rooms. In the main dining area the food was always great, but on the memory care side, the food was just okay.

I would recommend this community. They are very friendly and feel like a big happy family. The activities included: movies, outside concerts, theme parties, and bingo. The room sizes vary from small studio to two bedrooms.

My sibling and I made the right choice for our mother. Excellent staff that has done a wonderful job of caring for and taking care of my mother. Outstanding care, responsive to our needs, and [name removed] is outstanding.

I would want other families to know when looking into Sunrise that it was a very warm environment and the staff member's were extremely kind at all times. They did an incredible even during COVID and she was extremely well cared for. Even the administrative staff is tuned in. They are not just there, it is like a family. I cannot say enough good things about this community. She adapted to this place right away, she immediately felt at home. Anytime we needed to talk about anything they were open and would work with us. They were just absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond. We could not have found a better place. The staff is happy and you can tell that they love what they are doing.

Very friendly Admissions coordinator, virtual tour worked well and staff a waved as we “toured” the facility, and programming was diverse. It didn’t work out for us but I wish it had!

One thing that really stood out to us when we were first visiting this community was the way it looked, and its overall appearance. The rooms at Sunrise community are adequate in size.

I really enjoy living in this community. Without our wonderful activities director, wouldn't be doing too much.

We chose this facility because of the care that the Quandrangle was able to provide to my mother. They had well trained staff and the administrators were responsive to my needs. We also did not have to provide any private duty staffing which was huge. It was very homey looking, the backyard was contained and residents could go out in it. My mom had a private room here instead of having to share a room with a roommate. The staff were more qualified and were better able to care for my mother. There was only 2 cases of COVID in the memory care unit, they were very communicative about the cases. I would recommend this community.

We chose this facility because at the time the woman who gave us the tour knew every bodies name and interacted with all the residents. The new director is not as personal and we have not been as happy with him as we were with the previous director. The room sizes are very nice. The food has not been as good since the corona-virus. They make the meals too spicy for the elderly. In the beginning, my parents really enjoyed the food though. My favorite part about this community has been the staff members, they are very pleasant to be around. Also [name removed] at the front desk is wonderful, she is bubbly and a genuinely happy person. They physical therapist [name removed] goes out of his way for people. He stayed after hours and helped my dad with his new phone. You can tell they really care about the residents. I would for the most part recommend Kyffin Grove.

The community took my loved one in July and she passed in February. They let my loved one's spouse stay with her all the time. The community saw how much my loved one's spouse helped with the care in the evening and overnight , this allowed my loved one feel more comfortable. The community worked with us and everything. They were flexible with us due to the health changes of my loved one. This allowed her to feel more comfortable and live out her final months in peace. Sunrise would make sure to have some type of activities like games to help with memory or brain games for the residents. I am not sure how much this community has worked with ALS patients in the past, my prior loved one.

We chose this community because the ratings, the locations, and the availability of a nice one bedroom apartment. The apartment sizes are very generous. He has a bedroom, large bathroom, kitchenette area, and very ample sitting room. His apartment is also on the first floor which is nice since he is not mobile. He said that the dining room has been closed since COVID, so they have limited choices on food. I had lunch when we moved him in and I thought it was very good. My favorite part about this community would be the communication, they are very good at communicating with friends and families. I am personally pleased. I would recommend Kyffin Grove.

We chose this community because of the location, the size of the community, the food was good, and the price structure. It was pricier, but if my father were to have to go into the nursing home, the price will not increase. The room sizes are average compared to what we saw. He said he really likes the food. I would recommend the Quadrangle.

I would highly recommend this place. There elevators need to be worked on, as they are starched up. The carpet was accumulate. They seemed to have lots of activities. My loved one participated in some of the activities. I feel the staff was friendly and helpful. The place felt homey and not pretentious in anyway. It is a very comfortable feeling. My loved one enjoyed the food, and they enjoyed the choices for dinner. On Sundays they had a brunch. If you wanted to on Sundays you could sign up and go to different restaurants, this is due to the community not providing dinner that evening. The community is close to shopping about a quarter mile away.

This community is a little more expensive side, the care services were good. We really liked how pleasant all the people were when we were first visiting. This community is very nice, very homey looking. The rooms could use a little upgrade. The food was fine, our loved one didn't have any problems with it. The only problem we had with this community was the cost of everything, it seemed like there was a lot of additional charges.

The other reviews on this page do not represent my family's experience at Sunrise Newtown Square. Our mother entered there a year ago and has had nothing but excellent care, even when she had to move to the memory care section. The staff have been unfailingly helpful and professional and the leadership has been responsive to our needs. We are beyond grateful for their care of her.

This community is very clean, the staff was really good. The food at this community was pretty good. the rooms were very pleasant, spacious and well set up.
