What we like the most about the community is their caring and compassionate staff. Team spirit all the way around. Clean and well maintained facility. I lost both my parents this year and their final stay was at Sunrise San Mateo. We watched how the Sunrise team and hospice worked closely together to care for my parents during their last months of life. They were also tremendous support to me and my family.

Staff is abundant and friendly. Place is very clean and the food menu looks amazing. All our questions were answered including on boarding, furniture needed, and levels of care needed. Residents look happy and well groomed.

This was only the 2nd place I toured. I was impressed by how informative and caring [name removed] was. This is where I want Mom.

Good reputation and nice staff. I would recommend to others.

Best: level of care. Worst: communications between staff. We find we need to repeat ourselves multiple times to different staff members.

Actually, we thought the overall experience was wonderful . . .The Staff is awesome as is the facility.

[name removed] met with my brother and me. We are doing some advance legwork researching places that might suit our parents should they want or need to move out of their home. Brighton Gardens staff were very friendly and warm, and the facility is well-cared for. [name removed] answered all our questions, showed us different units that might work for our parents, and introduced us to other staff members. We saw residents engaged in activities and visited communal areas. We are grateful to [name removed] for his openness, knowledge, and understanding, especially as we not yet ready to commit to a place. I think we may visit a few more locations after the first of the year, but Brighton Gardens remains on our list of possibilities. Thanks and warm regards to [name removed]!

I enjoyed the tour. It seems like a very nice place, and our guide was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. Residents seemed happy, the place was well kept, and it smelled nice. This is a top-contender for a place for my parents.

This place is very clean, affordable and has a great staff. I am seriously considering making it my new home when I move next spring. The tour director was very friendly and did a fantastic job highlighting all of the positive aspects of the community.

I love the views of the bay. I image in the summer the breeze must be amazing. Many of the common areas have gorgeous views. The staff is friendly. There are many places to eat and within walk distance of the facility. I loved that.

The facility is a good stepping stone between standard assisted living and a nursing home. The care takers definitely keep a closer watch on their residents compared to other facilities where someone can walk out of the building without anyone questioning it. My mother in-law at the time still wanted to be independent but was starting to get delusions. We were able to sleep at night knowing that if she packed a suitcase and tried walking out the door someone would stop her!

The food is very good for a large facility. They regularly have events where they host and cook for families. The apartment room is very large with a living room area, kitchenette, large bathroom and large bedroom with a large double window with a great view of nature and birds etc. The activities are excellent and the communication is very good. [name removed] runs a very tight operation.

Staff AND Management were excellent. Very responsive to residents needs as well as mine has his family administrator. Yes recommend them!

My only experience is with memory care unit. I would rate the unit as a 5 on my limited visits due to geographic proximity. My loved one is being treated well and communication is good. They seem to have knowledgeable and professional staff for residents with memory loss and Alzheimer's.

5 on all of them. My mother loves how friendly everyone is, she is doing incredibly well there after losing her husband of 69 years. She also loves the food.

The staff is amazing! Everyone that works at Sunrise is helpful and professional. They spend a great deal of time with residents, and develop relationships with family and friends. Highly recommend Sunrise of Annapolis to everyone

We love the home feeling and the care that they provide. I know my mom is safe. We love the fact that they meet all needs of the residents whether hair and nails or doctor scheduling and transportation. It's all inclusive. Everything is added to the one bill which is great....plus all meals and cable are included which is a huge bonus! We love that they have a resident nurse practitioner and allow for home health care, which Sunrise manages all.

I moved in to this community in May and I could not be happier with the staff. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, and always quick to assist with any needs I have. The meals are good, [name removed] in maintenance is great and is always there to help me.

The newness and nice decor along with great memory care are the main reasons we chose Sunrise of Orange. The staff are extremely helpful.

The staff is very friendly, outgoing, and accommodating to make you feel a part of the community. Food is excellent and in good portions. I met 4 ambassadors who were very warm and welcoming. I’m a soon to be new resident and feel like I’ve found my new home and community.
