Sunrise Senior Living

Sunrise is very clean and bright. Offer so many activities for everyone. The staff is so so friendly. They can't do enough for you. So helpful!! The food is fabulous. Smells so good and very delicious. Definitely would recommend sunrise. The rooms are of good size even the singles. A just a fabulous place .I took her to numerous places so that she could choose where she wanted to go and sunrise was her top choice. She thinks the food is fabulous and she herself says that everyone is just so nice. They look after her. They check in on her all the time. It's just a really nice facility.

Very private, shady courtyard space in back. More open hangout space around entrance, under awning. We picked them because of the tour. The place is beautiful, inside and out.

Very kind and patient with my dad. He is incontinent and needs a lot of help and is often resistant to help. (Can be grumpy to say the least!) he was kicked out of [community removed](!) which was not ideal. This place is way better. They are sensitive and kind and caring. They even have an emotional support dog running around. It's very sweet

I felt so welcomed and comfortable when I came into Sunrise. I was greeted as soon as I came in. It has a good feeling. I would like to go back and have lunch sometime, the dining room looked busy and residents looked happy.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Administrative staff is helpful but sometimes forgets to get back to you on items. Sizes of apartments are good. The floor plans are more open than some other places, and the sizes are comparable.

They're amazing and my mom is adjusting well! Loving, patient, organized staff. Friendly. They seem (from what I observe) to know each resident's name and treat each resident with respect.

The staff is friendly and professional. Residents are treated with respect and their dignity is safeguarded. Room is adequate but a little small.

It's a welcoming environment that's clean and cozy. They give a good level of care. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

We're so very grateful for this wonderful place! It's so surprisingly affordable! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I would recommend to others.

So far everything has been great at Sunrise Paramus. And the senior who lives there is very happy. So I would be all of those categories a 5 except for food we would give a 4. It's a smaller assisted-living than the other ones we looked at and we feel that the staff knows every resident and they all interact very nicely. Every time I call, the phone is answered right away and they know who I am and who I'm calling about. They are very responsive and really on top of things

Everyone was absolutely wonderful and caring. Entire staff from front desk to resident floor are friendly and helpful. Many amenities are available like podiatrist, salon, hospice. Security is tight. It is very clean and well kept. There are many activities for those who wish to participate.

Facility is great. Staff is super warm and welcoming. Everything has been organized and efficient. I would absolutely recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved ones.

My dad is in a studio apartment, which has plenty of space, a very large closet, a small kitchen area and wonderful natural light. He has a large bathroom, which is handicapped accessible with Plenty of grab bars. My dad is enjoying activities such as exercise classes, a daily social hour, Sunday church services (attending Mass 2x a month, "virtual Mass" (live stream) 2x a month), weekly entertainment, and an occasional art class. The community celebrated Halloween with various events, and also helped celebrate my Dad's 87th birthday! He says the food is quite good... and the coffee is hot! The staff has been WONDERFUL! Everyone- Nursing, Care Staff, Assisted Living and Activities Coordinators, the Director, Sales- they have all been incredible. The communication is outstanding, and the overall experience has been excellent. My Dad is happy and engaged in activities, and my family and I know all his needs are being met in a caring and safe environment. Thanks to everyone at Sunrise for making my Dad's first month there so great!

I had a unique experience in that I chose this facility for my mother however, the week before she was to move in, she had to go to the hospital and unfortunately she never was able to live there. The sales lady, [name removed], at the facility was very, very informative and answered all of my millions of questions… Always pleasant. While my mother was in the hospital, the care team from sunrise of Rockville came by to visit and evaluate her. They were ready to take her on, even though she would be coming to them under hospice care. Everyone was very very nice. My mother did pass away before ever getting there and the facility was very kind and understanding and helpful during that time. I loved the smaller facility and "family " feel for our situation.

All 8 are 5's. Have been very happy and impressed with our experience at Sunrise. The facility has a warm honey feeling. The staff has been very helpful and responsive to the changing needs of our aunt and she says that staff members she has come in contact with have been "so nice".

I appreciate that they knock on the residents doors and encourage them to participate in the activities. My dad's been much more active in the community at Sunrise than his last assisted living place because of that.

Everyone has been so kind and accommodating and attentive to my father.

Everyone was respectful of the situation. They knew I knew absolutely nothing more than what I was needing. They went above and beyond to explain everything even the minor details which ended up being the most important. Whatever we didn't understand was broke down into terms to understand. They understood my mom side as well as mine. The facility was easy to navigate with the help of the staff. It was even more wonderful knowing my mom was able to keep [name removed] out husky for companionship which she loves everyone and everyone loves her too

What we like the most about the community is that it is very home-like and friendly, very nice location, beautiful views, nice people. Yes, we would recommend Sunrise of Sheepshead community to other families based on the experience so far.
