This facility is top notch from start to finish. My dad had a wonderful experience as a memory care resident. The caregivers are always smiling and the residents know this place is home, everyone on the staff lives up to the mission statements. Sunrise is an excellent facility and deserved the top notch reputation they have earned.

The staff members are very friendly and so far our loved one has not complained about any of the meals or dining service. He has been to several different activities and he always talks about how much fun they are.

It has been almost two years since my Mother has been living at Sunrise Senior Living at Dix Hills. She moved in at the very beginning of the Covid outbreak in NY. I have been pleased and impressed on how well Sunrise has handled such an extraordinary situation. During the time of the restrictive visitation, due to Covid, the staff has been caring and understands how difficult it has been for the residents. They take the time to keep the residents spirits up and make each person feel special. Mom really enjoys the company of the staff and the other residents at Sunrise.

They're awesome - we love them! They have been really welcoming and very helpful in terms of doing things for my dad. Everybody we've met there has been super nice, including the residents. We've been over a couple of times and had dinner with him, and they're very welcoming to family members and friends. The food is very good. They do a good job putting awesome activities on. We've had a great experience and would definitely recommend them!

My mom has been living at this community for ten years. She is well taken care of daily. Over the years her needs become greater. I feel her requirements were met or exceeded.. Any time you enter the community you are greeted by a very friendly team members. The whole experience has been a positive one. During this time period with Covid the community went above and beyond my expectations.

We were referred to Sunrise Hillcrest by {name removed} senior living associates as a potential '' good fit'' for my wheelchair bound mother in law. We toured the properly and were very impressed with the staff the curriculum. The facility. She has been there one month and we are all very pleased.

Our family was able to tour this community and we love the place, we have volunteered here and love it, we had done other surveys on Sunrise and we loved it. However it is so nice that there is always a wait list.

When it was evident that my husband could no longer live at home, I set out to find the best senior living facility in this area. I visited and carefully evaluated 8 establishments. Ultimately, Sunrise of Westminster won out over all of the others. In Feb. 2020, he moved in. From the outset, everyone there treated him with respect and was attentive to his needs. I visited almost every day, except during the Covid19 quarantine, and I always found him safe, well-cared for, and contented. The Sunrise leadership and staff are unmatched. They always considered my husband's preferences and involved him and me in important decisions about his meals and care. After a short time, we began to think of the Sunrise Team as extended family. When considering an assisted living community for yourself or a loved one, visit Sunrise of Westminster before making a final decision. I am so glad we chose Sunrise. I had a great tour with Sunrise and really liked the facility, it was just too expensive for what I was looking for.

Everything is good at this community but it is extremely expensive. They have activities like playing with balloons, bingo and arts and crafts and outside trips for site seeing and restaurants for the residents to get out and do.

We had a great tour with Sunrise of Lower Makefield. It is a very nice place but it was just too expensive for what we were looking for.

Our tour experience was awesome, and we wanted our loved one to go there but the rooms were just to smaller. If the rooms had been a little bigger then this would of been our first choice.

We chose Sunrise of Columbia because of the friendliness of the staff members, the smaller size of the facility, and also it had a lot of men which was a big plus for him. The location is also great and easy to get to. The room he has is a good size and it is laid out more like an apartment. Another good thing is everything is close to an elevator. I would absolutely recommend to others looking as long as you can afford it. We feel that you definitely get what you pay for.

I liked this community but I feel like they went to far by giving me a price before evaluating my loved one. It made me not want to go here.

I would say absolutely sign your loved one up and get them in there as soon as you can! Everybody was friendly. When you walk into a place like that, you expect a certain smell, but there was none of that. It smelled like they were making homemade cookies. Everyone was so o nice, and they took the proper Covid precautions, including requiring masks. The nursing staff was helpful, even if it wasn't a nurse assigned specifically to my mom. The food was okay, pretty good for the setting. The only gripe I have is I was charged a several thousand dollar move-in cost, and we had to move ourselves in entirely. They didn't even have a dolly for us to use. Also, the people who live there were walking in the hallways, so if you were standing there with a heavy piece of furniture, you had to wait for them to move out of the way. I would have expected for that move-in fee for someone to at least hold the door for us and clear the way. Aside from that move-in fee, the cost was good for the care they provided to my mom.

My father moved to Sunrise in August. He was not happy to be moving to Assisted Living. My brothers and I were very concerned that he would not settle in. Within One week he had made several new friends and one day when I stopped by he was playing balloon volleyball with the group!! We feel so lucky to have found this new home for him.
