Sunrise Senior Living

The community are accommodating at Sunrise at Sheepshead. My loved one is safe, cared for, and that is a great relief. The staff are my eyes and ears when I can't be there. This takes a lot of trust, and I trust them. They are able to assist with bathing, medication management, dressing, and more. They also assist with housekeeping and laundry service for my loved one. The staff are highly responsive, professional, friendly, and easy to work with.

After 83 years we decided to move Mom across country from Boston into an assisted living facility. It was extremely scary and could have gone real bad. We took a tour of 4 facilities during the height of COVID, Sunrise at River took the necessary precautions needed but made you feel very comfortable and we just received great vibes after the tour. It was obvious that we were going to choose Sunrise at River. Mom entered the Memory Care Unit over a year ago, we have never seen her so Happy in a very long time. The staff is great, they truly care and they take an interest in all the residences, even past experiences before they were residents. The Director of Sunrise is very knowledgeable and has had a great background in working with assisted living facilities, you notice that upon entering Sunrise, they are like a big family! So Happy we chose Sunrise at River, Tucson Arizona.

We are very happy with our experience at Sunrise of East Setauket. The staff members are all very attentive and everything has just been great overall. We would for sure recommend the facility.

the facility was very clean with updated common rooms. [name removed] was very helpful and informative. the studio and 1 bedroom accommodations were very spacious and well maintained. the community dog was a pleasure.

My loved one has a difficult time getting around and that is limiting the things that she is able to participate in. They have activities for the community and things for the residents to do but my loved ones have not participated in them just yet. My loved ones went to a concert but other than this they have not done much. Out of all the communities I investigated this is one of the most friendly and gracious places to live. There are a couple of communities that I would have preferred but my loved ones fell in love with the character of this community and it is well detailed. I would highly recommend.

This is a beautiful small community. It is smaller than other communities but the staff seem to care and there is a lot of people there. My loved one has a lot of needs and they are able to take care of everything that she needs and is always right there. My loved one is really taken care of well here. It is never going to be her home but I have bought a lot of things to make it homey. My loved one feels like she is on vacation all the time and she is not struggling any more and this means a lot.

The tour at this community was nice and the woman [name removed] was very informative and not pressuring at all. She would have had a beautiful view but someone switched it to another facility. It looks just as nice as the pictures online.

It's been a learning experience. Make sure you have the insurance the facility takes, but at this point I don't even know what would be the best insurance to come in on. I'm still learning about the whole system. But the people here have been as helpful as they can be. I think it's just part of how an assisted living system operates - there are just going to be challenges initially that you have to work though to get ironed out. The facility itself is very good. It looks like they Have a lot of activities going on. And their Covid protocol is excellent. They do a great job keeping track of people coming in out.

I've been here since June and find this to be the BEST place to live. The managing staff is wonderful as are the caregivers - however, they could use more caregivers. Two of my friends have moved here on my recommendation.

Our family had an in person tour and we absolutely loved this community, 5 stars across the board. The staff to resident ratio is very low - in the single digits and the amount of time the staff have been there really stood out to us. We met people who had been there 5 years, 8 years, 10 years and beyond. It is more expensive but you are getting what you pay for.

I would recommend them, I have sent a few friends there for their loves needs. The food was good, my loved one enjoyed it as well as activities. She enjoyed trivia night.

Our family had an in person tour and one thing we did not like was the location. It is right off a busy street and the parking is extremely limited so it would make it difficult for families to come visit. One thing we really did like was the rooms, each room we were shown had their own shower facility. The people on the tour were very helpful and courteous. When your starting this process families may not be in the right state of mind and they did their best to get rid of any concerns we had.

The staff were super friendly and seemed to really care about their residents. They had a really good resident to staff ration on the memory care side, it really felt like a warm and family atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond what was expected. They always tried to engage the residents in activities even if it was not the most successful. We appreciated all their efforts and overall were pleased with our experience.

I visited a number of places when looking for a place for my husband; and Sunrise of Silver Spring was the most welcoming. they've created an environment that feels like - "if you can't be at home, Sunrise is the best next thing". I especially like that the staff are all very friendly and kind, they are really exceptional in that regard. he's popular amongst the other residents and gets to socialize instead of staying in his room. overall, I'm very happy my husband has a place there.

I'm truly happy and satisfied with The Sheridan and it's staff.

My aunts sister was here years ago and she had a really good experience. We liked the facility a lot and enjoyed speaking with the staff. I wish I would have put her here. It was going to be more money but it would have been worth it because of the quality of care that they provide.

Great tour just wasn't a great fit.

They were very pleasant and helpful on the phone.

I think it's a great facility. The people who run it are fantastic. They've created a family-like environment. They know all their customers/clients, as well as their families. They go above and beyond in helping long distance families like myself in getting things done with third parties. Their cost is in line with other places. Generally I'm very impressed.

They get excellent care, the staff is wonderful. It's a very positive experience for my loved one. He is as happy as he could be there. They do everything they can to help him and make his life more comfortable. They listen, they care. They have been just wonderful. They keep you informed.
