The friendliness of the staff and residents and even their helpfulness really stood out to us. Our loved one hasn't really participated in the activities very much but we do know they have good things for the residents. The meals and dining service is a little bit of a hit or miss something but based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend them to other families.

The people at this place genuinely care about their patients and families. Always a pleasure to work with them!

The Sunrise of Plainview is a very bright, happy and uplifting community. Every time we would come to visit there was always staff members around to help you out. They were super friendly and almost every time we called them there was someone there to answer the phone. We loved coming to visit, it really is a lovely place and the employees were responsive and lovely. Our loved one seemed to really enjoy the meals and dining service, but was not able to partake in any of the activities.

The Sunrise at Hillcrest was beautiful. The tour was wonderful. They played card games, they had puzzles out, they had a workout room, the menu looked wonderful too.

The people at Sugar Valley have always been helpful, kind, and do their best to make their residents and guests feel welcome and comfortable. The facility is always very clean and up to date. Their meals are excellent with a variable daily selection. A great place to live! [names removed] make it happen!

Very attentive staff, and they have all been there for several years. They really love Sunrise and because of that, the residents are happy and feel loved. My mom does!

Dad lived here for almost 2 years and they have become family. Dad has friends, fun, and is never bored. We love Sunrise!

This was a nice community but it would not work for my loved one because there was not a lot of outside area that my loved one needed. The tour was great and I felt like they did an excellent job with the tour.

We have only good things to say about Sunrise of Mountain Lakes. The staff is so nice. I feel so fortunate that the staff just love the elderly and love taking care of them. And I'm so grateful they're taking such good care of my mom when I was no longer able to care for her myself. The facility is very neat and nice. It's a great environment. The food is excellent. The Mother's Day luncheon we attended recently was so delicious. My mom was gaining a little too much weight, and the staff has been helping her keep track of when and what she's eaten, which is great that they're keeping an eye on that for her. The activities are great as well, and they keep my mom busy.

This was a very nice community and a very nice tour but we just wanted a smaller community for our loved one. The tour was great and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. the only reason we went with another community is because we wanted something smaller and it was just a better fit for my loved one.

It felt more like a home than an institution

Sunrise of Marlboro was a wonderful place for our mother. Sunrise helped us with every aspect and stage of our mother’s care. What first appealed to us on our initial visit was the quality of the staff. This initial impression held true once our mother joined the Sunrise community. The nursing staff, care takers, maintenance and management all did their jobs to ensure that our mother was well cared for. By the end of her life, our mother needed a very high level of care. This was provided by Sunrise. When we first looked at assisted living facilities, we found that not all would provide this level of care. We knew our mother’s illness would progress over time, and we wanted our mother to stay at one place. The high level of care provided by Sunrise allowed her to do this. Finally, we would like to add that there was a great deal of joy and laughter at Sunrise provided by a very caring staff.

This was a good experience for hospice care. I'm unsure of the memory care or the assisted living situations. I would recommend you place them on your list to look at for your loved one. The management was excellent to work with, and very responsive to any questions or concerns.

I liked this community but we had to make the decision as a family and when it came down to it there was another community that we ended up going with. The tour was great and we were able to see everything we needed to see and get the information that we needed.

This is a great community for your loved one. It is an incredibly warm and homey feeling atmosphere, everyone is very friendly at this community. They have activities like field trips, groups for everything, bridge, a work out class, guest musicians that come into the community and more for the residents to do to stay active in the community. They also have a live in dog that everyone at the community loves and likes being in the community.

We loved this community. It was a bit smaller than another community that we were looking at. We wanted an environment where there was always someone around or something going on. We just wanted a more lively community and somewhere where my loved one could be more active and stimulated. This was a good community and everything looked to be great it was just smaller.

I'm really astounded at how wonderful the staff is, how truly caring they are. They go the furthest mile. They have just the right amount of staff. There's a sense that if you are overstaffed, things tend to become laxed and if you are understaffed, they can't provide good service. Sunrise has just the right amount and they train them well. Staff is the most important thing and they have wonderful people working there. Part of my high praise is because I rescued my sister from a "not so good" place. My mom was also in Sunrise and spent the last 10 years of her life there and I think its better now. I was happy with them then, but I think they've improved a lot. Those improvements may be a result of general regulation in the industry. One of my biggest complaints back then was the laundry, my moms clothing used to come up missing and I ended up preferring to take her clothes home and wash them myself. Since then its much better and it now seems like they do the laundry separately for each resident, rather than a communal washing. Overall I would recommend Sunrise of Arlington VA to others.

Sunrise of Shelby Township looked like a great facility. The reason we did not go with them was because of the way their pricing was set up. It was "al a carte" so they had a base fee and then things like medication, showers, etc. were all an add on fee. The staff were great with following up with us after the tour.
