Sunrise Senior Living

I toured Sunrise of Bluemont Park and it was very nice; we had a great experience and first impression. The community was a like a hotel with a happy hour bar and other fantastic things. Sunrise has a lot of great services and activities to offer, but my loved one would not have been able to take advantage of those things. We chose another community because Sunrise was not a good fit for us, and it also did not fit into our budget.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff are very friendly, helpful, kind, and were wonderful at helping my loved one move into the community. The communication from the front desk to admissions, to the executive director and everyone in between was fabulous.

The staff members at Sunrise of Leawood are very friendly and kind to the residents and our family. They have a lot of great activities lead by their great activities director. [name removed] has been there for 11 years and he is awesome, he works very well with the residents and actually seems to understand their levels of care. We have never had a meal ourselves but they always smell good and the residents can get fun snacks all the time. Based on our experience so far we would recommend this community to others

For anyone looking for an assisted living community, you know just how daunting the process can be. Look no further! Sunrise Of Sheepshead Bay won our mother’s heart the instance she was so warmly greeted. Continued interest and care by Coordinator, [name removed] and nurses, [name removed] and [name removed], both highly competent, make themselves available to residents and families. Many friendly and wonderful people work behind the scenes making this facility run smooth. The food is good, the place is warm, airy, bright and clean. Our family has peace of mind knowing that our mother is no longer alone. She made friends, participates in activities, run by caring, competent individuals. Our mother looks forward to walking with [name removed] each morning. Every time I see [name removed] he tells me how much he loves his job. Our dear mother is getting the care she needs. The staff are truly caring and committed to pleasing the residents ( finding out what their interests are and taking them on safe outings).t The park is lovely and right outside of the building.

My mother has been at Sunrise for almost 5 years. Sunrise has given her a great, happy, and enjoyable new chapter in her life. She has a wonderful apartment there, the food makes her happy and the staff treat her like family. We couldnt ask for a better environment for mom to thrive. She loves walking around the Harbor area and the local restaurants and shops. She adjusted to living there seamlessly, always says when asked how she is - "I live in a resort hotel, it's like being on vacation all the time". She made friends and although being any place through the Covid lockdown was difficult everywhere. She was safe and happy.

I would definitely recommend Brighton Gardens of West Orange to others. My loved one loves the staff, everyone is very attentive. The only thing she has questioned is the activities so far - Covid probably plays into that. The activates is something that she wants to do more of, or they could have more of a variety - more trips, outings, etc. But so far she loves it there. As far as the food, my loved one says it's fine. She has more than enough all the time and the servings have been plentiful. Communication between the community and our family is great. They call anytime there's an issue. They're very explicit as soon as you answer; as sometimes receiving a call from the community can bring forth panic, but they ease your fears right away by saying "everything's fine". They make sure to call to address any issues with paperwork, insurance questions, food allergies - really anything related to my loved one.

Our mother moved in several months ago and she is really enjoying her time at Sunrise of Fair Oaks. She's made friends and the employees treat her well. She is happy!

The tour at Sunrise of Annapolis was very nice. They seemed like they were really prepared in showing the place and that they knew what they were doing.

This was the best facility I have toured.

Great place, if you have the money.

[Name removed] was a compassionate and knowledgeable about the facility, the staff and the residents. She understood the difficulties and struggles one has with a loved one living alone which gave comfort to my niece. We appreciated the whole village approach Sunrise San Mateo has adopted to serve their residents. We liked that it’s a smaller community.

My husband had to move out from Memory Care Unit because of financial reasons, but for 4 years he used to get an excellent care - so much love and tenderness, and attention to all his needs. Our family appreciate this very much. Thank all of you, especially Memory Care Unit team.

On Wednesday [name removed] had a long awaited dental procedure which went well. I returned her to her apartment and stayed the night in order to monitor her recovery and to make sure she was comfortable. staff could not have been more cooperative and accommodating and I just want you and the rest of the community to know how thankful I was for their care and concern.

I had a sense of the size and condition of rooms. I saw how the dining area is laid out. I was given pertinent information on services and staffing.

This was a nice community. They didn't have the availability we needed.

The community has been personable, accommodating, and my loved one is happy here. The staff are very friendly, caring, and helpful. The communication with the staff is good, and they will respond to emails and calls to answer our questions or concerns. They will even send photos of our loved one to us to keep us updated with what our loved one is doing.

I have been so happy with the attitude and care of the entire staff at this facility. They have all been warm and welcoming to my mom and to my family when we visit. [Name removed], in particular, has been incredibly reassuring and helpful during this difficult process.

It’s my mom that has moved in. The room is perfect for her, two big windows let in plenty of light and provides a view she enjoys. It was a slow start for her, but I literally spoke with her tonight and all she could say was how busy she’d been all day playing games and other things to occupy her day. She says when the caregiver was bringing her back to her room he told her “you see how much fun you’ve had? You’re coming down every day now and doing these things-no more sitting in your room. I’m not going to let you”… and that is music to my ears. I’m very happy with Sunrise! Thank you.
