One of my favorite parts of living here is having a patio. During the summer I love sitting outside, enjoying the warm weather and fresh air. It’s a quiet spot where I can read, or just take in the surroundings since its quiet. That little outdoor space really adds to the quality of life here

This community has been a wonderful place to live. The meals are high quality and consistently flavorful, which I really appreciate. My apartment is well-maintained, quiet, and designed for both comfort and convenience. What really sets it apart is the individual climate control having my own furnace and AC means I can adjust the temperature to my exact preference year-round, something I value greatly. The combination of good food, comfortable living spaces, and personalized climate control has made my experience here very positive.

My wife and I absolutely love living here. From day one, the community has been incredibly accommodating. When we first moved in, we changed our minds about our apartment layout twice, and the staff handled every switch with such patience and kindness. We’ve also really been enjoying the meals they’re consistently tasty, well-prepared, and something we genuinely look forward to each day.

I’ve really enjoyed my experience in this community. The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming, and there’s always something fun happening. The activities are thoughtfully planned and offer a great mix of entertainment and engagement, making it easy to connect with others.

The layout of this community is impressive it’s designed in a way that feels open, comfortable, and easy to move around in. The meals are also excellent, with great quality and flavor. The activities are fun with ice cream and live music

I like this community because you can tell that it was built a long time ago, but it’s modernized on the inside even with the original brick walls. It has a ton of natural light with all the windows that go into the courtyard with the dining room room on the first floor and two elevators.

My mother really loves living here. She’s lived here for about five years now. She has an apartment on the first floor, which is easy access to get the dog out and right across the hall is the dining room room where she can have three meals a day which is included in her rent.

I just signed a lease in early December with The courtyard at Lakewood. I’m really excited to decorate my apartment and have a full apartment to myself with a big kitchen.. I’m also very excited to decorate my window. Every apartment has a window in their living room room, which is big where you could put pictures and keepsakes. It’s super awesome to have that lighting.

I’m so excited that I just signed a lease at this community. It’s so big and spacious and everybody there is just so friendly so far I really like my apartment. I can’t wait to decorate it and make it home for me.

This is a pretty large community with a lot of residence in it, but I think that’s what I like the most about it is I have so many new friends. I moved in in [removed] and it’s been great so far the food is really good. The desserts are my favorite. I really do like the daily exercise class that is led by a resident themselves.

My mom moved back into this community for a second time because she remembers how much at home it felt. It’s so important to us as her family, knowing that she’s safe and in a great community, who truly cares about her.

I moved in not that long ago and so far my favorite thing is meal time because the food is really good and I also like to get to know the other residence who live here, I also really enjoy the weekly ice cream social where we can sit and talk and get to know each other and just enjoy each other’s company

I just moved in with my husband and we love it here. Our apartment has a full size kitchen and huge patio that our dog just loves so much. Very quiet neighborhood and [name removed] at the front desk is so friendly.

Much better than [removed name] (which, now that I have something to compare, I'd give a 3). There is Low/no(?) staff turnover (which was an issue at [removed name]. The Staff is very professional, friendly, courteous. Apartment is small but my understanding is that's to be expected in Memory Care. There's one member of the nursing staff that's less professional and a bit too "rough around the edges" for my taste but she's only part-time and everyone else is excellent IMO! Great activities. Mom always has something to do. If she's in her apartment, they come get her to participate in activities and meals. I like that. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

I really love this community because they really pay attention to the residence and their needs and they move the activities around two different things that all the residents like. For example, my dad really loves trains and they do different activities with arts and crafts with trains or they do a train educational program train themed happy hour. It’s a really neat place.

It is so nice to see things changing since the new GM [removed name] has taken over the building. Maintenance problems are taken care of in a timely manner. He has brought our standard of dining up & serving issues are handled even if it means the GM stays to serve. He has organized our staff and just made things better; not to mention the morale.

I have talked to many of the residents and asked them, what is special to them about living at Sugar Valley. Most of them said the same thing. I'm not lonely here. I like the community atmosphere and togetherness, and people are so friendly and kind. There is always something to do if you want to participate, that's fine, if not you can just sit in the atrium or library and read, that's fine also. Visiting with friends at meal time is so enjoyable. And the pleasure of having breakfast, lunch, and dinner, served to you. You have so many choices off the menu, plus no dishes to do which is so nice! The staff are so caring and helpful. From the chef in the kitchen and servers, to all of the employees who try hard to make living here enjoyable. But most important is our General Manager [removed name] who is trying very hard to make us all feel at home here at Sugar Valley. I am so lucky to be living here, it truly does feel like home! - Joy M.

Sunrise was awesome. They have good help, the rooms are nice and the landscaping is beautiful.

My brother-in-law was at another community where they were unable to meet his care needs as he was reaching the end of his life. The team at Sunrise of Lafayette Hill was there for us not only physically, but also mentally as well. We were lost with how to get him the care he needed and within 24 hours the team was able to get him to the community, settled in and comfortable. They took care of all of us and supported us in our greatest time of need. We will never forget that.
