My mom was unable to live alone anymore and we had to make a quick decision to place her in a memory care elsewhere. I wasn't happy with their lack of staffing at the other facility. Prayers were answered when I found out about Danbury. We took a tour and had lunch at Danbury and knew immediately that we would be moving mom in right away. The kindness, care and compassion has been amazing. We definitely made the right decision. Mom is happy and safe. The staffing is very good. I really appreciate all the caring staff, fantastic administrators and especially the resident activities. The facility is clean and well maintained.

From the minute, we walked in the door to explore moving our father there in [dates removed] we have had very positive experiences with all of the employees. From administration to laundry care. Always a kind word most all of them know my father‘s name many of them know my name. He has a very nice well-kept spacious room and he looks forward to meal time. There’s a large selection on the menu and they have special dishes every day also. He has enjoyed the food very much and the fact that the dining room is open from 7 AM to 7 PM and he can go anytime he likes instead of scheduled meal times. The layout of the rooms, the layout of the building the amenities, such as a pub, a bistro, a therapy room being able to watch birds in an aviary and fish and a fish tank are all things he takes advantage of. The hallways are very nice width so people with wheelchairs can pass comfortably going opposite directions. I have nothing but praise for Danberry Mentor!

My dad has been in the memory care unit at this facility for a year now, and I’m thrilled with how well he’s doing. The staff is exceptional—helpful, attentive, and always available when needed. It’s clear they genuinely care about the residents, and their support has made a big difference in my Dad’s overall well-being. He has friends visiting regularly, and the welcoming atmosphere makes it easy for loved ones to stay connected. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and provides the structure and attention needed for memory care residents. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality care for a loved one. It’s been a wonderful choice for our family, and seeing my Dad thrive here has been such a relief. I would give it 4.5 or 5 out of 5 stars—there’s always room for small improvements, but the care and compassion are outstanding!

My reasons for choosing Sanctuary Grande: Very professional staff, sincere caring of residents, significant attempt in providing meaningful and elegant celebrations for everyone, a delightful and thoughtful decor for all seasons, kitchen staff is friendly, sensitive to different needs of diners, talented chef, excellent nursing care, beautiful outdoor areas, gas fireplace in main lobby, personalized attention for residents, and easy access to administration when needed. I am most comfortable knowing my husband is in the hands of people who respect him and that I feel he is heard, seen, welcomed, and cared for.

The entire team at Arbor Grove has been so comforting, caring, patient, and understanding! They have made this transition so much easier! There are so many wonderful activities for everyone to do! Thank you all so very much!!

Mom was 90 and living alone. She was very apprehensive about making the move to assisted living. The staff made her feel at home and did their best to communicate with us during all steps of the transition. The other residents were very good at making her feel included. She has thrived since she now eats much better, is getting some social interaction, is involved with a few activities and is taking her meds consistently under the supervision of staff. We were so worried about the transition and it has all gone so much better than we ever thought possible.

I have resided here for four years and things have greatly improved. Starting with[name removed], our GM, who is always available, patient, caring and attentive to everything. He's become a good friend to many residents. The front desk crew are kind, helpful and always smiling. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with seasonal flowers and a joy to walk around. The kitchen staff is great and the food has much improved. It's tastier and looks better with faster service. I would like to see the menu upgraded a bit to wake up our appetites; perhaps to offer grilled salmon, beef stew, stroganoff with gravy, baked potatoes and al' dente vegetables every week. Desserts are very good. Entertainment by [name removed] has been fantastic- I especially like the restaurant luncheon outings and concerts. Holiday decorations are beautiful and I appreciate all of the efforts made by the staff. A great, safe, place for Mom!

My mom,[name removed], has always been active, social, and vibrant, but after a fulfilling career, volunteer work, and 22 years of independent living as a widow, it was time to explore senior living options. At 91, we prioritized safety, support, and socialization—and we found all that and more at StoryPoint Bolingbrook. From our first tour with [name removed], every staff member showed warmth, empathy, and genuine care for the residents. The facility felt just right: easy to navigate, with welcoming spaces to socialize or relax. Residents were friendly, active, and engaging, which made my mom feel like this was HOME. Since moving in [date removed], [name removed] has been thriving. She enjoys activities like Wii bowling, making friends, and choosing how she spends her time. Knowing she’s safe, happy and eating well, gives us so much peace of mind. Best of all, she’s just five minutes away. StoryPoint Bolingbrook has truly been a wonderful new chapter for her and for us.

My dad has been living at Boulder Creek Assisted Living for [date removed] now. While a change in living situation can be difficult for anyone especially when suddenly leaving their lifelong home, the team at Boulder Creek did an amazing job. They handled by dad's transition with care and compassion. [names removed] and the entire care team ([names removed] to name a few) have been amazing to my dad. He has been meeting friends gradually and appreciates the friendliness that the BC team exhibits on a regular basis. Not living in Grand Rapids, I feel comforted that my dad is being taken care of by a friendly and caring group of assisted living professionals. I would recommend Boulder Creek Assisted Living if you are searching for a kind, caring and compassionate place for your loved one.

This review comes 2 years into my dad being a resident at StoryPoint Bolingbrook, formerly, Atria. Our experience has been exceptional. Our sales person, Renee, helped us pick the perfect apt. Moving in was a breeze. The front desk/employees had warm greetings, smiles, and help when needed. Terry, the maint. mngr., has been awesome from lending tools and a hand upon move in and as small items come up. SP has retained the beloved employees and practices we chose Atria for and we’re grateful. The activity director, [name removed] is SP’s largest asset. The care/love he pours into each resident is exceptional and extraordinary. There is something planned for everyone’s taste in activities. [name removed]works hard to gather everyone up and encourage everyone to stay active, involved, engaged and to just have fun! His thoughtfulness as a person is a blessing n gift to all who have a pleasure of interacting with him. My dad has more fun on the daily than I do!! I aspire to have this same kind of set up someday.

My parents have been residents at Candlestone Assisted Living for about a year now and we’ve been very pleased. The staff is fantastic. They genuinely care about my parents well being and they go out of their way to make them happy. I routinely pop in for visits and I always see the staff working hard in an efficient and friendly manner. Overall I’ve been extremely pleased with the care and service my parents have received. I highly recommend Candlestone to anyone looking for assisted living accommodations.

My family and I recently made one of the hardest decisions of our lives: placing our mother, the heart and soul of our family, into a memory care facility. Initially, we chose a home that seemed promising, but sadly, it turned out to be far from acceptable—it was quite terrible. Thankfully, we were directed to StoryPoint Bolingbrook, and the difference has been extraordinary. As someone who lives out of state, it’s been heartbreaking to think of my mom not getting the care she needs, which is substantial. I visited StoryPoint over Christmas and felt immense peace of mind. I met [name removed], who showed genuine compassion. The facility felt more like a resort, with plenty of staff who were happy, upbeat, and knew my mom by name, even after a short time. After her previous facility, where frequent falls and hospital visits were the norm, I’m so relieved to know she’s now safe, cared for, and happy. Arbor Grove has been an excellent choice for my parents. They both have dementia and moved to Arbor Grove about [date removed]. Mom is in the assisted living area and Dad is in memory care. The staff in both areas are wonderful. They know Mom and Dad better than we do and Mom and Dad consider them family. If I need to take Dad to an appointment or we leave Arbor Grove for any reason, I can see him physically relax when he is met at the door by whoever is working and realizes that he is "home". And when Mom and I go somewhere, she'll say how good it is to be home as we drive in the parking lot. Part of the reason they're "home" is that the facility looks amazingly like a house. The other reasons are the staff members. They treat Mom and Dad like family....they know Mom likes to dance. So it's not surprising to walk in and see them dancing with her to music. And Dad likes to help so they let him sweep as much as he wants. Mom and Dad are safe and happy....what more could we want?

Our Dad has lived at the Sanctuary Grande for a little over a year, and we are extremely happy with the entire experience. The staff, including front desk personnel, dining room workers and cooks, nursing staff and aides, administration, and others, are genuinely caring and capable. The aides and dining room servers especially go above and beyond, doing an excellent job with a truly caring touch. It is such a relief knowing Dad has immediate access to care, and moreover, has constant interaction with the other wonderful residents. There is a wealth of life experience there and we have all been enriched by interactions with staff and residents. Also, the food is GREAT! Everyone in our family enjoys sharing meals with Dad, not only because of the great company, but the cuisine as well!
