Overall, we've been very happy with the experience with Storypoint. When we were getting ready to move my mother-in-law into a facility, we looked at about eight different ones. This one was head and shoulders better than all the rest. They are a little more expensive, but the place is clean, pleasant, and they take good care of her. I guess you get what you pay for. I highly recommend it.

We couldn’t ask for my dad to have a better place to call home. The facility is beautiful, and the apartments are very spacious and bright. The staff are very accommodating and treat everyone like family. [name removed] does an amazing job at making sure that dad attends all of the activities to keep him active during the day, which put us at ease knowing he’s not just sitting in his room alone.

My mother says the food is delicious. The staff is very pleasant. They are meeting all of my mother's needs. My mother's great grandsons thought it was "so cool" to have your own ice cream machine. And, I am enjoying it as well.

We are so grateful to the leaders and staff for the care they provide our family. They supported us during a difficult relocation from northern Michigan. Mom passed within a couple of weeks of arriving at GV and then Dad needed support. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed]and their teams, worked with us as if we were their own family. They not only take good care of their residents but the resident’s families as well. This engaged approach allows us to feel confident in the care provided to Dad. This facility is smaller in number of units, which was perfect for our needs. Mom and Dad lived for 30 years off the grid, enjoying the beautiful U.P.. We worried that the move to Grand Villages was going to be a tough adjustment. It has been a comfortable “next step”. Thank you to the team at Grand Villages!

This facility is so clean and beautiful! It feels just like home. The food is delicious and hot, there are so many activities offered, maintenance quickly responds if needed and the apartments are large and spacious. The Executive Director and her team are so special and loving. This place is exceptional!!

This place provided special care for a special patient. They promised to work with me as his condition declined and they did just that to the end. Compassion for the family starts at the top and is carried through to staff and then to patient. A positive attitude and energy in all things and patience when necessary. Recommend this place to others constantly

I chose to live here though I am not retired. Move the amenities and community. The management team is exceptional and the staff is very caring! Personally enjoy the pets residing or resting.

Being new residents of only three months, I would like to give our whole hearted endorsement to Independence Village of Brighton. The staff and residents are very friendly and willing to help when asked. The calendar is literally stacked with several options. I have to keep my eyes wide open so as not to miss anything!

Upon touring the facility i was visiting a family member that was end of life. The staff was wonderful and offered me a courtesy cart on her room so I wouldn’t have to leave my mothers side. That meant a lot to me as her time was very short. After the passing the care staff was very comforting and gave me warm hugs and was very understanding. I received a card in the mail signed by the workers there. That meant the world to me knowing how much they care for my family member. I would place any if my loved ones there knowing how much love they give there residents.

At Independence Village of Plymouth, life, atmosphere, and the care are the best. The staff and entertainment are so great and also the best. I love everyone who works here and they make me feel so welcome.

The staff are friendly, available when you need them, and I like the activities and they include everybody. Everyone is so special to me! I love cooking the cookies and exercise classes. I like the overall activities schedule!

My dad moved in here and is slowly getting used to the facility. The other residents have really been welcoming and make him feel better about living here. I really appreciate that. We have talked to a couple of staff and they are so nice. We appreciate everything they have done so far.

Living here at Story Point has been a new lease on life. Feels like we are here with family. The staff is very friendly they always go the extra mile to make sure that all our needs are meant .To them, my comfort is "high priority." I love the idea of not cooking anymore and of getting up from a table of dirty dishes and walking away. The food is always great. I love the fact that I am very safe here , always a full calendar of things to do and see. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about living in a senior's living facility to check out Story Point. You won't be sorry.

Our mom was a resident from [date removed] until her passing in [date removed]. She was one of the first residents in the facility. We were impressed from the beginning. The staff was wonderful, loving and helpful. Always ready to answer all questions/concerns. Very professional, but also very personal. As always, family should always stay on top of their loved one's care, as we did, but felt secure in knowing that her care was one of the best. Over the years, there was a change in leadership, staff, and of course now, change in corporate ownership. We experienced the evolution of that throughout the years. We are happy to say that our mom passed after StoryPoint took over and we could not have been more impressed as the quality of care, the staff and leadership improved! Our mom passed with grace and love, surrounded by her family, and the loving care of the StoryPoint (Schererville)staff. They treated her as one of their own, with dignity and love, treated us with respect and comfort.

The facility was so welcoming. Everyone was smiling and I saw the staff engaging with the residents on several occasions. My grandmother is so excited to move in. Highly recommend.
