They try to make feel @ home.

For the most part, we are comfortable & enjoy the amenities (laundry, cleaning, dinning services). However, we are not always happy with the menu offering. He feel a dietician/nutritionist) would be a valuable asset. The staff (top to bottom) is friendly & cheerful.

Friendly smiling staff that call each resident by name. Dinner in bright airy dining rooms served by vibrant people include a chef. Availability of bus for appointment and shopping.

I have lived at IV for 9 years. It has always been a supportive, caring community. The activities planned are enjoyable. When I needed extra care, it was readily available. I would definitely recommend IV to any senior needing an alternative to living on their own.

We have lived here almost 5 years, and we find the facility very satisfactory. We get and give @ lot of smiles and waves, as we move around with our “walkers”. It also is quite convenient for our daughters.

A very clean and well-kept building. The staff are very friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The dining area is clean & the servers are respectful and well-trained. The menu is sufficient & tasty. The life enrichment program is well run. Transportation is available.

The staff at Independence Village is its greatest asset. All the employees are friendly, kind, helpful and patient. It amazes me how quickly they recognize everyone and call everyone by name. Even those I haven’t met smile and say hello. I also enjoy the entertainment, the outings, the special events, the décor, and my apartment. However, it is the staff that makes life at Independence Village enjoyable!

It's a lovely place. We like it so far. They were very helpful. The people have been pretty friendly and welcoming. They did have a bit of a delay getting some services started, but I think overall they are okay.

I felt mislead by the pricing at this community. We were shown one apartment and then a week before mom was to move in they said it was no longer available. They then said they had a smaller apartment. We were given one price and a few days later when we went to sign the papers they raised it. The staff are nice and encourage her to participate in the daily activities. They take care of her.

I know a few residents at this community that said that they enjoyed being here. I thought that the community was lovely. Again I did not choose this community because they did not provide the care that I felt that my husband needed.

I really like this place and everything has been going well. He really likes the food. We have not had any problems with the staff. They are doing a wonderful job with him. We are very happy to say the least.

[Removed], [Removed] and [Removed] were super nice to us and we really enjoyed the dinner and time we spent with them. However after finding out about Mom's health and possible problems we could not sign an agreement with Oxmoor at the time. We asked them about some issues with their contract and if after Mom's Dr. appt. if we could get out of the contract with no monies lost. [Removed] and [Removed] took it to their corp. office and had no luck, retaining the room until after the Dr.'s appt. or with having an additional clause placed in the current contract., They came back and said it would be best if we waited until the Tests results were back and we knew more of what level care she needs, before going further with Oxmoor. This is where we are at the moment and my brother is looking at other places, that he has heard about from friends or friends of friends! SO this is where it stands at the moment. I do think that if we could have made the deal with Oxmoor, we would be moving in there soon! Who knows, if it is meant to be, it will be. It is in God's hands now!

When I was seeing the community they did not have a 2 bedroom available. The layout of the community was not what my mom would like. They were unable to fulfill her needs in a community. It was not a bad tour and the community is fine but not a right fit for us.

Everything was nice but just out of my price range.

The staff at this community are efficient. The community is clean and in a beautiful area. They offer a variety of activities for the residents to stay active. I am not sure about the food as I have not tried it.

The care for my mom is going as good as it can. The staff provide treatment, meals, and care. Hospice gives showers and care too. They work well together. Her room has enough space for her. The issues we had were resolved immediately. It is becoming easier for my mom and she is building friendship.

It is a good option. People are freindly and active seniors.

The administration was excellent at not only giving us a detailed tour of their community but followed up multiple times to make sure there was nothing more my loved one and I needed from them. The lobby and dinning room was spacious with beautiful decorations throughout the complex.

I checked out 3 Ind Village buildings, and this was the best, happy people, and a very clean tidy not a spot of dust anywhere plus good food and very happy pleasant waitress's and waiters and long bright halls, not like some I looked at, narrow and dark and help is right there if needed. happy, smiling girls & mess & boys

Security is great. Homeaway from home. Excellet food. AM Cafe and Evening Meals wonderful. Many great activities to participate in.
