Our experience with Sunrise of Shelby Township has been a good one, so far. It was a big change for my loved one, and it took her a bit to get settled in, but the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and I think they do a good job looking out for the people who live here!

The staff that i met along my tour were all attentive. The community was very clean. I got to see the bedrooms and other rooms they had available. I really liked that they were not pressuring us at any moment. The Community had different meal plans available as well as activities. It was quite a big place and the layout unfortunately didn't meet our needs.

We took a tour of Sunrise of Crystal Lake and it is a lovely place. The community is well kept and updated. The units available are nice but are a lot smaller than other communities we have visited. We did not like the layout of the unit that we viewed. We wanted something that felt more like home for our loved one. The staff who offered the tour were wonderful. They shared all of the amenities and services Sunrise offers. They were very friendly and were able to address all of our concerns.

My mother is doing great here at this community. It is a good looking community. Everything is very well maintained, and nice and clean. The staff is wonderful. There are activities offered for her when she is ready to participate. The meals are great, she loves the food. I know she is in good hands here, and being cared for well. This is a community I would recommend, it has worked out well for us.

It is going good for my dad here. The staff are pleasant and easy to speak with. The community is clean as far as I can tell. They have outings every other week and have various activities for everyone. My dad is adjusting and engaging with residents.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Dad is transitioning well at Willow Park. He has gotten to meet some new people. The food is good but the serving staff takes a long time to get the meals to the residents. They seem to be short staffed with servers. They have a variety of activities but only after lunch. After supper, it becomes a ghost town and there is nothing for the residents to participate in.

My parents apartment is wonderful but the appliances are a little more low end. There is one young man that does maintenance and he is wonderful. They do not offer a meal plan. There is a library that comes in once a month. The female residents have set up a meeting every Thursday for food and chat. I would recommend this community.

All of the staff are very cordial and delightful. They encourage participation in activities and allow residents to display their artwork. My dad is delighted with the variety of food offered. I would like to see minor details in construction addressed such as faulty appliances and clogged drains.

I used this community for their respite service. Overall everything went pretty well. We did have one issue while I was away, but they did contact me in a responsive manner. They do keep the community well maintained, everything looked very nice and clean. They have a pretty good staff here. There are activities offered for the residents. I did feel she was safe and in good hands. I would recommend this community.

The two people that took me on the tour were nice. The community was nice and they offer a lot of amenities. This was a step up from the community we chose but my grandmother was not able to participate in the majority of what they offered.

This has been a great community for respite care. My husband has stayed here 3 times. The staff have good communication they are fun and make sure he eats. He is currently in the memory care unit. He seems to like the food. This community does not offer skilled nursing.

Danbury Senior Living of Columbus, OH is a lovely, sunny, spacious facility. The building is new. The apartments are lovely. The staff is friendly and accommodating. However, the food is disappointing and the website's claim about chef-prepared food is just not true. Some meals are decent (not great); other times, dinner may consist of a hot dog on a white bun or a toasted cheese sandwich on white bread. Forget whole grains or fresh vegetables. They do not cook anything here: They just warm up canned or frozen meals which are high in sodium and the dining room service is sloooooooow. About 25% of the activities on the activities schedule never actually happen; No one follows through to actually make them happen, or they are cancelled at the last minute. For a shut-in who only has one activity to look forward to for the whole day, or for an elderly person that took a lot of effort to shuffle their way over to the activity room only to find it cancelled without notice, this is very disappointing. I gave them a 3 instead of 2 on Activities because they do plan nice holidays for the residents, such as a Fourth of July BBQ. Families and guests are welcome. On the good side, this is a safe place - no one is harmed or abused - the staff and the residents are friendly and welcoming and they do genuinely care about you here.

Can only go by what my Mother-in-law says but the food is a bit lacking in taste and variety. She said she had never eaten so much pasta in her life! Since she has only been there since May maybe the residents requested it!?

Lots of activities. Great meals. Warm atmosphere. Room sizes are excellent.

This community is at the top of our list. We hope that the model we selected will become available at some point soon. We will be getting on a wait list.

Counters and floor quite sticky - asked for good cleaning and was told it had been cleaned Staff had not noticed: Shelf in utility room was just hanging on wall. Needed to be reattached No turn table in microwave Got a replacement after I moved in and requested one Drawer under oven was off track and just on floor Bedroom screen was not attached at bottom Dishwasher did not work - has since been replaced after I called attention to it Orientation: Should have someone meet with new residents within first few days to orient them to facility and rules and procedures. If had not been for neighbor across the hall I would have been in the dark and rather uncomfortable. Would have been nice if someone -staff or resident) had met with me to discuss dining room hours, activities, emergency procedures, etc. Had to ask for a meeting to learn about emergency procedures."

So far everything seems to be lovely. It's well kept and the people are friendly. The food is lovely and everyone seems very attentive. It's a nice a place.

I am very impressed with Danbury Woods. I currently have loved ones in the Memory Care Unit and the staff seem very attentive to their needs. I haven't had them their that long so it is hard to evaluate Danbury Woods fully but what I have seen I have liked.

My father's time at this facility was very good. He was just starting to get adjusted, but he had a bad accident, and is at other facility now. I was confident about the care he was receiving.The community looked great, they do a good job with the cleaning. They have an excellent staff. The call service button is great and allows for very great responsive time. They do offer activities for the residents. The food is very good. It is a good community and I would recommend it.

My Brother in law is doing better than I expected at this community. The community is clean and well cared for. He is very pleased with the food. I also never would have imaged he would get so involved in the activities offered there. He likes bingo, dominos and WII bowling. The staff are very nice and have been very helpful to him. I would recommend this community.
