My father seems to have adjusted well to this community. I do comfortable with his move to this facility. He is safe, and in good hands. They have good staff, and they are kind, and have been helpful when needed. The community looks nice, and clean when I visit. They have activities offered for the residents. Everything has worked out well for us in this community, and I would recommend it to my friends.

This community is a little newer than others that we have seen. We liked the floor plan being that it is shaped in a horseshoe pattern so the residents can continuously walk without stopping. The community is very clean very well kept. The staff is friendly very accommodating they adjust to my mother's ever changing needs. In dealings with the residents, the staff is always professional.

This is a larger community. The people we met were friendly and the community looked clean. They seem to offer a lot of activities and amenities. This community just did not feel like the right place for our loved one.

I toured this community and it was nice. Just walking through it seemed to be clean and the staff seemed friendly enough looked professional. I really didn't spend much time here I walked through most and got some information but from what I saw it was nice. However, there was one thing that I wanted that they didn't offer and that was a unit that had a garage so since they didn't have anything with garages I took them out of consideration.

My mother resided at Independence Village for over 6 years. Their staff in all area RS of operation was excellent. At no time during her stay did we ever have to worry about her care. Cannot imagine a similar facility having staff more kind and caring. Clean and beautifully decorated! Surrounding community as well.

My mother is law had previously lived in this community, but she was not pleased with meals. After a while we did feel it would be best for her to move back, and meals are a lot better. This is a great community, and our opinion of it is very good, because we moved our love one back. We know she is safe, and in good hands. They have a wonderful staff. They are kind when we visit, and taking good care of my mother in law. Her apartment looks great, they fixed everything we asked them to fix. However I do feel they could do a better job with the cleanliness around the facility. She loves to play bingo, and there are other activities available as well. This community has worked out well for my family, and I would recommend it.

I have lived here for 3 years and enjoy the wide range of activities offered and especially the convenience of using the community’s shuttle bus for transportation to these activities.

Satisfactory for our situation, my husband’s health is fragile so I greatly appreciate the housekeeping services and the meals in the dining room (reasonably healthy food and good companionship).

Independence Village of Grand Ledge is a very nice and clean community. I think this is a perfect community for younger people who start out in independent living then step into the assisted living aspect. It's a little easier to adapt and make friends. Everything is going well, she likes the food and she is starting to partake in the activities provided. She enjoys listening to the musical entertainment. There are a couple nicely landscaped courtyards to enjoy the outdoors, seating available to relax and enjoy the company of other residents, or sit quietly and enjoy the surroundings. I would recommend this community to others.

I have no complaints about the tour I had taken of this community for my mother. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I thought property was clean and they had a lot of great amenities for all of the residents. My mother is just not ready to make the move at the time.

This community did seem to offer more staffing than the community we chose. The people we met were nice. The community looked clean. They seemed to offer some nice amenities. This community cost just a little more than what we were looking for.

My father is doing pretty okay with his move to this community. We might need to consider more options, but for now all is well. This is a good facility with kind people. They provide good meals for the residents. The staff is doing their best to care for him, and his needs. It has been a good experience, and this is a community I would recommend.

We really liked the feel of this community. The decor really seemed to go match with my grandmothers taste. I really liked the way the rooms were setup with a little kitchenette, a sitting area and of course the bathroom and the bedroom. When she is not taking advantage of her sitting area in her room she is down doing some of the activities and making friends which are nice. She is enjoying the food and eating well. The community is kept very clean and the temperature is quite comfortable. The staff is friendly and nice and very honest with their opinions and suggestions.

So many activities are in the PM – when I nap! Yet that is my choice. Daily news feels a little much a waste of time vs paper. Perhaps once a week – after all we receive the monthly. Meals are anticipated especially dinner. I feel I am on a cruise - food is wonderful tables well set – unless I am at the 2nd seating - then table cloth is often stained.

While there is no place like home this is a very good substitute. The staff are always so pleasant and helpful, in an emergency there is always help. Food is not like good home cooking, but I don’t have to cook it nor clean up. There is always something good to eat. I am happy at this stage of my life to be here and to be with other people.

The staff was friendly and informative on the tour but we just felt it was a little too large for our style.

For our parent we decided to pick this community and it was a good fit for them. It is a nice place for the memory care unit.
