This community is brand new and is still overcoming some challenges but has major potential to be a well-run community that cares. I really like the staffing they are very nice and helpful when things are brought to their attention. However, I have noticed there is no night management staff no one in charge which is a concern. The after hours phone is not staffed I haven't been able to get anyone on the phone when I've tested it. The staff including the maintenance staff does not know how to work the tv's so the residents can't watch tv. The community has great security measures in place but they need to be redefined a little at night. They offer some activities which mom enjoys.

We really liked the Parkside Village Senior Living community. The staff was friendly and helpful answering our questions about the care they would provide. The facility was very well-kept and had a good feel to it. We ended up choosing another community that was a better fit for our loved ones care needs.

Parkside Village Senior Living is a nice and inviting community. The staff is very friendly and we couldn't ask for better communication since we live out of town. They do not hesitate to communicate with my husband either by phone or email with questions or concerns regarding the care of my parents. My husband knows all of the nurse's names. The room they are in now is supposed to be temporary until a larger apartment becomes available. But in the meantime, Parkside has furnished it while they are waiting. The food is good, if they don't like what is being served they can request something else to eat. They do offer activities for the residents, so they've shared with us that they really like the musical entertainment. Dad still drives and is very independent, he would like more parking spaces on the weekends when more visitors show up. They have a nice walkway which is very convenient for mom who is still doing physical therapy. We would recommend this community to others.

I have my mom living at the community and I think it is just fine.

Higher end price wise and newer. Activities list was impressive. In this price range, however, there are nicer places (my view).

This community seemed nice lovely furnishing. There is a lovely piano in the common area. The staff was very friendly and informative on the tour. It was clean and well maintained.

I have recently had a tour of this community for my mother and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where on time to our tour and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. It was just not the right fit in the end decision. I would recommend it to anyone though.

The community seems to be having trouble with their kitchen inventory. They seem to run out of certain foods. The food is good and the community is well taken care of. They do offer some daily activities. I would recommend this community.

My friends are doing very well here and they love the fact that they were able to bring their two dogs with them and that they're apt is on the first floor. They enjoy the food and the many amenities along with the field trips they offer.

We toured this community and found it to be nice. The location was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and informative. The location and the pricing were out of range as to what we were looking for.

My loved one has recently made the move into this community and so far I have no complaints of how things are going for him. I am actually very impressed with the outcome since he has moved in and think it has been the perfect for him. The staff are very much in the residents day to day activities and I am comfortable with the quality of care they provide him. There are plenty of activities to keep him busy and he is liking the meals very much.

We like StoryPoint a lot. Biggest concern is cost, as it is the most expensive option and has a high processing/one time fee.

StoryPoint Portage was a very nice tour. It is a very beautiful community. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions that we had asked. It seemed a little too institutional to suit our needs. We were also looking for a smaller community, this one was too large for us and the cost did not fit into our budget.

This community was a good choice for us. The location is convenient for us to get too so we can visit. My mom likes being here she has settled into her apartment very nicely she has enough space so that she is comfortable. The other residents and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Everything seems to be clean and well maintained. The food is pretty good. Overall I believe we made the right choice and I would recommend the community.

Excellent – food could improve.

All of the staff is friendly and helpful – couldn’t ask for more. I won’t name names because there are so many great people. Activities are varied and enjoyable. (Slot machines in the lobby would be fun) Dining – Meals are good – would like fewer Mexican type dishes – also, an easing up of the spiciness in the sauces would be appreciated.

Nice, clean and people are nice to talk to.

[Removed] has provided excellent transportation service for our medical profession trips. He is friendly, courteous and an excellent driver. He accommodates our special needs in good spirit. It is a joy to travel with him.
