We are not sure how to answer the value for cost; it's crazy expensive, but it's in line with other facilities. The building and grounds are bright and attractive. The staff takes our questions and input seriously; they are responsive.

If you ask my dad the meals are not always up to standard but he compares it to my mom' s cooking, which was excellent, so I'm not sure how bad that situation is. Every time I've eaten there it has been good. We have all been satisfied with his situation for the most part.

Great facility if you do not need a lot of additional support. Had issues setting up direct rent payments but eventually staff figured it out. Fixed maintenance issues quickly and were accommodating during our move in process. It has been 2 months and so far so good and it definitely is a great value.

Well luckily my parents have some money otherwise they would never be able to afford $[removed] a month. Meal-wise... my Dad doesn't eat meat very much. They have been great at making him a protein shake or sandwich but might be nice to have a simple 2nd choice? And I'm not sure but do they offer snacks in the afternoon? I don't even know. I've had to double check a lot with administration to get some things done.

This staff is led with very high standards. The leaders will step in and do whatever it takes to solve problems. It may not always be pretty, but they are 1000% dedicated to creating the best experience possible

The caregiving staff was great. The administrative staff did not follow through with things they were supposed t take are of. There is a lot of turn over in the caregiving staff. Memory care was a great place for our dad.

The senior staff was great. Some aides were not friendly. It took a lot of follow up sometimes to get results. I thought the meals were fine. My mother complained about them though. I thought the activities were good. My mom was not interested in participating except when musicians came. She never missed a performance. It was expensive but worth the cost. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families, but not many are willing to pay that much. Fortunately my dad left my mom well enough off to choose what she wanted regardless of the cost.

StoryPoint Northville is a very nice facility and the location is good. We would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

My mother has been at StoryPoint for a couple months in the assisted living area. It took some getting used to, but she seems to generally be happy now. She did have some issues at the beginning with staff not understanding the limitations of her Parkinson’s disease, but she says most of the staff are very nice.

Mom's experience has been mainly positive with some room for improvement. The staff is nice and friendly but not always efficient. Over all she is happy there.

98% of the staff is fantastic, but you always have a couple of workers that can be more caring. Room sizes are great for my dad's situation and the amenities are great. It helps me a lot I always recommend Story point to everybody that is looking for a place.

Awesome and compassionate staff. It's a difficult job to do day after day. Some staff are better than others. I hit the call button in my mother in law's room and no one came after 10 minutes because she is incontinent. I am concerned what the call button is for. It was evening, which is a busy time there. Hopefully an emergency would be addressed in a timely manner. The meals are nothing special, but I'd rather spend more on quality care. I still ranked Glen Oaks high despite the call button experience, because it is quite busy in the center at night with all the sun downing patients. I am hoping if there was an emergency, we would be notified.

Love the staff but food is not good. To make things worse I am gluten free and I can’t eat what’s on the menu. The activities are great, many fine musical events, and [name removed] the driver for appointments and such is very accommodating !

I would. The people who live there seem to be happy and have fun. The property is really nice and [names removed] have been very helpful on several occasions. I'd say it's nice. I wish Mom would do more. Meals are good, but not great. I think they have trouble keeping employees.

The Oliver Woods Assisted Living and Memory Care community is a lovely place for my parents to live! They receive very good care with kind and caring staff. They love the food. too! We would definitely recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

Folks here are very helpful. However, I am getting ready to move to be closer to my daughter. They are giving me a hard time and wanting me to pay rent for the duration of my lease. Not happy about this.??

I have been living here almost a year. It has been a good experience. The staff and residents are friendly. Any needed repairs have been done in a timely manner. I would like heathier food options.

See my questions were answered and I left with a vert positive feeling for Independence Village. The staff and residents were extremely friendly.

They need to let people know of rent costs for additional people. We were ready to sign the lease when we discovered that there was a second person fee for my mom that was $[removed] a month. That pushed us way out of our budget. Apparently they need a new chef... I just hear my dad say that the food isn't good most of the time and they eat the groceries I buy.

I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff. I like the maintenance of the apts, they were in good shape.
