What made the difference was actively advocating and communicating directly with department heads—once that connection was made, improvements followed and responsiveness increased. This experience reinforced how important it is for families to stay involved and speak up when needed. With consistent communication and oversight, residents can receive the level of care, dignity, and comfort they deserve.

My mother-in-law likes it. The rooms are bigger than all of the others we looked at and there's a washer and dryer in the room. I would recommend it.

Friendly community. Good food. Staffing Good most of the time. My husband was only there for respite care 2 weeks so probably takes more time to get acclimated

The Care staff is extremely kind and compassionate. The wellness team supervisor demonstrates.a wonderful example for others to follow! The facility and supervisor have been extremely accommodating to many of my unique needs.

Our overall experience with Independence Village Fishers South more than met our expectations. Our mom was very well taken care of and if we had to it over they would be our first choice. From the moment we met with the staff to inquire about the facility to the very end of mom's passing, was nothing short of comforting.

The building is beautiful, and the residents enjoy all the different activities and trips they get to go on.

The facility is equipped with staff 24/7 which my father needed. He is doing well in the facility and the staff is friendly and supportive, which gives me piece of mind. He seems to be settling in nicely and participates in some of the activities. I would definitely recommend this facility to friends and family.

Have not met one person at Independence Village who was not helpful, outgoing, truly invested in solving your problem. All members of staff know my name and I've only been here 5 weeks.

The administration is always willings to help and listen to the residents. The reason i say that is because i know that the people have concerns but they are points about where we live and our happiness. We are appreciative that adminsitration have concerns about what we have to say and helps us. After mulitiple tours of visiting differnent communities i was left with two places. I chose this place to call home and im happy i did.

The staff is amazing! They are all very friendly and provide great care to my father. They are always creating new activities for the residents so that everyone can find something fun to get involved with. They do a great job with housecleaning and laundry service for my father. My father's apartment is very nice and well maintained. Improvement Opportunities for facility: Overall the food and dining experience has improved slightly over the last year, however there is still plenty of room for improvements. Especially at the price point of the facility, the food and dining experience should be much, much better then it is.

It is a wonderful community with everything you would need included. Staff and caregivers are very welcoming and accommodating and take good care of my parents. They enjoy the sense of community. There is a lot of activities that residences are able to participate in.

What I like most about this place is their attention to detail. The staff here is above and beyond normal. And I like the amount of activities they have.

The rooms are averaged size and very clean. The staff is very pleasant. The facility is always clean. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

I enjoy and appreciate using the Library at Story Point; however, it would be very helpful if books printed in large print were all in a special location area.

My mom has enjoyed the food. The caregivers are friendly. The living space is perfect- a 1 bedroom apartment. Her view is lovely.

I had to occasionally ask them to provide better care. Room size was adequate and the facility was clean. I would recommend this facility.

The facilities were great and strongly suited for my dad's needs, ie. Wide doors and easy in and out for the bathroom. The patient care was adequate at best. The dining was also adequate, nothing to write home about. The have a lot of indoor activities and monthly meetings for the Veterans and a wall with their pictures and brief summary of their time served. Currently my dad is living in [community removed]. Which is great in every aspect of my dad's needs. Their patient care is second to none.

Friendly and caring staff create a welcoming, no-pressure environment. The newly renovated two-bedroom, two-bath apartments are spacious and impressive. The master bedroom comfortably fits a king-size bed, which is a big plus. The only downside right now is the food selection and overall quality, though they are actively working on improvements.
