Mom is happy! She calls it home. I would recommend to others.

The place is clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, I feel that they were understaffed as many places are. Also, the nurses were LPNs and no one with higher education on full time, that I could see. They have good activities for the residents. The food was good, too. Overall, it is good.

We love the location, 3rd party therapy on-site, and the meals. But we are less pleased with the issue of under staffing, the apt cleaning not as frequent as promised, and often slow to respond to requests.

I would tell others looking that they might want to look at the food options. My mom has to pay even if she doesn't eat. Unfortunately the food at this place is not good at all. When my mom first got there it was great and the chef would actually come out and ask the people how their food was. There was a good variety. Now it's a lot of sandwiches and the same things over and over. This is a real concern because not many of the older folks don't come down to eat like they used to. My mom actually became sick from not eating and drinking enough. Make sure it's a retirement community. I know there are some people at the crossing that should be in assisted living or nursing home. Look for something cheaper. Living where my mom does is turning out to be more expensive and doesn't leave her much money left over unless we help her.

Location was great and on my side of town. We knew the director here from my moms independent living facility. I assume all facilities are expensive. This one was too... We all had sticker shock throughout.

The staff are great and mom is happy for the most part. The facility is a smaller community than a lot of places which is perfect for mom. She will complain about the food at times, but I suppose it's hard to please everyone. My only complaint would be the price hike of 12% after the first year. It's not like I can do anything about it now that mom is settled and we paid a one time non refundable extra payment of $[removed]. I worry we'll soon be unable to afford the place if they up the price that way every year.

The staff is wonderful! They really seem to care for the residents. I haven't been really impressed with housekeeping, but part of that is my mom not wanting them to come do it. Every meal I've had there I have really liked. My kids even enjoy eating there. I would recommend it to others.

Move-in process was pretty easy. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful when I ask for help. There has been a lot of turnover in staff this year including the director. Housekeeping is adequate. I would prefer more deep cleaning and detailed cleaning, but it's ok. Laundry service has been great and mom really likes the person who does her laundry and the one who does her cleaning so that's important. Communication is hit or miss. I get information on upcoming events, but reaching a nurse or maintenance person has been challenging. Food is high quality and a good variety! The heating/cooling system needs replaced! The thermostat in the room doesn't control the heat. It gets extremely hot in mom's apartment and I had another resident tell me she has to keep her door open because it's too hot. Air conditioner is wall unit. Last summer it didn't always work. Overall, mom is content and I know she's safe. She doesn't require much help so it's been good enough for her. If someone needed more physical care, I would not recommend it.

Everyone on staff is very friendly. The food service is understaffed Big Time so this is a challenge for both the server & the clients. Staff checks on him frequently, especially if he is late getting to meals (I am usually visiting- reason for lateness). Nurses/Aids very capable and friendly. Mix of male/female nursing/aid staff. Front Desk/Sales/Leadership Positions (Exec Dir/Activity Manager, etc) are really, really nice and know the residents by first names. The only problem is the lack of food staff. They need more servers. This area is really the only area that I would rate poorly. All other areas are excellent and far better than other facilities I have experienced. We have a few close friends we visit regularly in both independent & Assisted Living. Anthology of Novi is "Head & Shoulders" above these places. These residents get to pick from a menu. Lots of variety. This place is Outstanding for activities. There is always something going on. They have Wine Wednesdays/Friday Happy Hour. An outing twice a month. Lunch out once a week. Lots of "theme parties." I think Anthology of Novi is a little more expensive than others but well worth the value of what is offered and quality of care. I really have been impressed. (Anthology of Novi recently changed management companies. They are know being led by StoryPoint. They have had some change over in staff.)

Overpriced and understaffed. Employees that care are overworked as needed. Also, a lot of hidden costs and no itemized statements or invoice. We chose this place because they offered an on-site nurse and a Dr. We were told they were proud of the fact that they had solid staffing.

Staff go out of their way to make living here as pleasant and positive as possible for the residents. Staff are attentive to the family's needs and concerns. Housekeeping works hard to keep the facility clean and appealing for the residents, families, and staff. The food could definitely be improved. Runs hot and cold, up and down. Many residents complain often. Overall, I would recommend the facility. It definitely checks 4/5 of our family's priorities for moving our mom here. If the food was consistently better, it would get 5/5.

The staff is hit or miss. The ladies at the front desk and the sales team are great but the care company they use are horrific. Horrible bed side manner and does the bare minimum. Staff will also ignore the fall button calls until it's been pressed 3 times.

They try very hard to ensure a person settles in their room. If there is a concern it is fixed in a timely fashion. Need to have more variety, fresh fruit and vegetables, and plate the food so it doesn't look so drab. Food is usually served cold when the item is intended to be hot. The activities don't change drab and my mom finds them boring. Not a lot of resident choice engagement, ie cooking. Mostly tapping the balloon, bingo, and travel dvd. How about let residents do a show and tell about their life or hobby.

Building has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation. Staff is friendly, caring and earnest. The kinks in a management reorg last summer/fall have been mostly ironed out, but communication is not yet as smooth as when she moved in. Food is totally amazing. Location is great, especially being across the street from a CVS Pharmacy for urgent meds and OTC stuff. Grounds are lovely with mature landscaping and beautiful courtyards. The size is great; big enough to enjoy a full staff but small enough to have a close-knit community feel.

We chose StoryPoint Troy because it was the only facility that we looked at that had a memory unit that didn't look like a nursing home or institutionalized. It was definitely the best one I have looked at. They have activities for them to do and try to keep them busy and involved in things . I feel like none of them are a 10 out of 10 but that's just our healthcare system. overall it was a very positive experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

We picked it because it is nice they have alot of activities and it's close to my house. It's nice here for the most part all of the aides seem to know their jobs and put the residents first - they are short handed though and seem to go thru aides which makes me wonder what the management is like / people don't leave jobs they leave managers.

I would say very pleasant experience, friendly staff and good community. Chose this place primarily due to location and affiliation with my church. I would recommend to others.

The staff is very friendly. They are very patient and well trained for memory care residents. It always smells good, so housekeeping is good. The move in was easy, they have flat bed carts you can use to help with the process.. The only negative, make sure to put names on everything. They are supposed to do laundry one room at a time, but I have found foreign clothing in my sister's room and her bed spread disappeared. They were very good about fixing the situation. The meals smell delicious, but I haven't tasted them. I would highly recommend this facility.

Dinner is not good. I wish they would upgrade the food. Housekeeping falls short. Staff friendly and helpful. I feel too much money is spent on entertainment and parties. Overall, I'd recommend the facility.
