My mother moved to IV one year ago from out-of-state and was anxious about the move. Her concerns were quickly put to rest due to the personal care and attention given by ALL IV staff members. Simple things like knowing her name as she walked down the hall, or passed through the lobby, meant so much to her and still do! This IV team of professionals may begin with the Front Desk personnel and Community Specialists (first points of contact), but continues all the way through their entire team (wait staff, maintenance workers, activities team, bus driver, etc)! No regrets in choosing Independence Village under the direction of Debbie Hall.

What struck our family was the caring staff, top to bottom, and the happy residents. We are very happy in our selection.

My husband was in respite care while I was out of state and he was safe and happy. I would definitely recommend it.

Independence Village is a well maintained, safe independent living community. Friendly courteous staff. Will opportunity to socialize.

My dad was a resident at Spring Meadows/Naperville for 7 months. It was Dad's first Assisted Living experience. Even though he suffers from mild to moderate dementia, dad was not initially a happy camper. He shared his disdain freely in the beginning. To the great credit of the staff, they showed wonderful patience and gave dad the kind of love and support that normally only come from immediate family. My wife and I live out of state. Dad has few friends left and fewer immediate family members, we took our initial cue to trust my dad to Spring Meadow from a wonderful lady from a Place for Mom, (I highly recommend to anyone who needs information about the elderly to look into this site) who answered my prayer and the phone. (Prayer because I had no idea what I was doing when dad suddenly needed care and a new place to live) She gave us leads to call a few places in the same area, but she was most positive on Spring Meadows. Spring Meadow was my first call and only call. After being on the phone for about 30 minutes, i made the decision to move dad sight unseen (other than the pictures on their Website, which are authentic and accurate) to Spring Meadow. It is most difficult to have a love one living in an assisted living facility because you think that you have failed them by not having them live with you. It is even more difficult when the loved one is over a thousand miles away. I am not going to say that I was perfect or Spring Meadow was perfect, I wanted immediate communication with staff whenever i called to check on dad. I had to learn that it is a work place for staff and they had more than dad to care for. But we/i worked thru that and overall i was very impressed with the care that dad received. I just move dad to be closer to me. Not because of anything that Spring Meadow's staff did wrong. His dementia is getting a bit worse and I needed to have him closer to me and my son and my two grandchildren.

Security is great. Excellent Food. AM café and evening meals wonderful. Many great activities to participate in.

This community was my parents first choice. The Staff were nice and the community is clean. This community, however was out of our price range.

Very good for people my age lots to do. Excellent meals. Wonderful inculding all kind of cooperator the arround community nothing is perfect So I give if 4. 3/4 star

This community is awesome and me and my loved one really loves it. The community offers a pleasant surrounding. My loved one feels really comfortable here. They offer plenty of activities for my loved one to participate in. I just love the staff.

My mother and father moved to Independence Village together. Sadly, my father passed away less than two years later. Mom was never alone, though. Independence Village offers activities such as day trips, clubs, bingo, and there is always someone sitting on the "homey" sofas and chairs around the fireplace in the shared living room/lobby who can be engaged in conversation. Mom's only handicap was her poor eyesight so she greatly enjoyed the stimulating activities--the games, the contests, the conversation clubs. She also made many friends there. Every year in her Christmas letter to friends she would comment, "I thank God every day that He helped me find my way here." I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff. There are so many loving, kind staff members who lift this facility to great heights, from the director to the financial manager to the front desk to the dinning room, etc. When mom passed away, she was in her own lovely apartment at Independence Village. We were able to have on site help as well as hospice assistance for her final days. My entire experience with Independence Village gave complete peace of mind. I can, without any hesitation, recommend this amazing place, this "home" for your loved ones.

Nice new facility. Staff are extremely service-oriented and friendly. Mom is really loving everything about her new home. Lots of things for her to do with her new friends. We couldn't be more pleased with her move there.

I'am enjoying my time here at this community. I'am meeting a lot new people, which I enjoy very much. The community looks great, they do a very good job with keeping everything nice and clean. The staff is very nice and accommodating. My only issue has been that I would like an handicap parking for my van. The dining experience is good, the food is good. Overall it has been a lovely experience.

Everything has been going well with my loved one since the move at Glen Oaks Alzheimer's Special Care Center. The staff have taken really good care of our loved one. They offer a variety of healthy options and are very accommodating with meals. The community does a great job engaging her with activities. They offer bus ride tours, musical entertainment, and games.

Some of the activities that are offered from the community are stretching, art and trivia classes. There are many common areas throughout the community one of them is the outside patio. During my tour the guide was very informative and provided me with enough information about meals, activities, and other additional services. The community was clean i thought it was a nice place.

My brother has enjoyed the community at Beaverdale Estates. He has had a wonderful experience with the community. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The community is very well kept and clean throughout. My brother has enjoyed the great meals. This community has many sister communities throughout the United States that will allow you to visit others like a retirement timeshare.

I have been associated with Governors village team for many years now. I have witnessed their management team go above and beyond daily for their residents. This is a assisted living that once you move in they don't just forget about you. At that point you become their family and they prove that daily. I love the way they get their residents involved and excited about what is going on in their community. Environment is always clean, friendly and welcoming. I would not hesitate to move my loved one in to Gov Village.

The restrooms needed tending and I was told they were having a hard time with staffing at the moment. I have not seen anything lately. Everyone is very friendly. The cost of living here is very comparable to the cost of living in a home/apartment so great value. I've had a few disconnects between managers related to the transportation but they are being worked out. There are lot's of activities but have not taken advantage of any yet.

My niece and I visited Beaverdale Estates to find a place for my other niece to live as she was having some medical problems and we felt she would do better in a senior community. Our first impression of the place was very positive. We could see residents visiting in the lounge area and the place was very clean. The sales person, Lee was very helpful and convinced us that it was the best place for Pam. She has been doing very nicely there and has made some new friends. I particularly liked the idea that by paying two extra months rent we were able to put a freeze on her room rate as long as she lived there. I definitely would recommend it to other people who primarily can live as an independent resident.

We looked at a few facilities, but Lakeview at Josey Ranch had all the amenities my mom was looking for. The food is terrific, the activities are varied to meet the needs of diverse residents, the public areas are inviting....I'm thrilled my mom has found a place she really can call "home." Many of my family members toured Lakeview, and every one proclaimed it an ideal place for mom.
