We are at StoryPoint Naperville for almost a year. It is a good place for senior living. Caregivers being on site is an advantage. Supporting staff is good. Both my wife and I are vegetarians. The meals, most of the time, do not include vegetarian choices. We would like more choices. Except for meals it is a good place. For the food, we are vegetarians. Most of days we eat, PBJ, English Muffins, Grilled cheese sandwich because of lack of variety in the menu. Some times we have Italian dishes and we enjoy them. They need to diversify vegetarian menu.

My mom has had such a good experience here. Her room feels like home, the food is always something she enjoys, and the staff are incredibly kind and caring. I feel so much peace of mind knowing she’s in such good hands.

Most of the staff is good. Some are better than others but overall it is ok, not great. Activities are good some better than others. The food is okay but not great.

There's a lot to do in the community people are great very nice and helpful made a lot of good friends. I would recommend to others.

The staff is great the facility is really well kept, the grounds are beautiful. They do a ton of good activities. The on care nursing can be spotty.

Food dining was excellent- overall clean 5 - new - nice - all of that was Terrific. It's just that they had not enough staff for the number of residents and a lot of new workers. I had to hire a personal caregiver to make sure my Mom got showers as she had alzhiemers and the caregiver had to be patient - the memory care caregivers are rotated between assisted and memory care and didn't have experience needed to handle my Mom. They were all nice but as I said - new and not skilled and impatient for her to take meds - so I had to hire a personal caregiver to make sure to be there or they didn't ensure my mom got meds if she said no thank you - they wouldn't push but you have to do more than that. About 1 in 5 of the caregivers had the patience to work with my mom. So care of service individually would be a 2. And they have cameras but they are not functioning and it took forever to get buzzed in - But the center looks very nice the food is delicious and my mom loved that and the place is new so for that - I don't think I could find better. I also believe that at the tour the people in sales do not really understand what they are promising as bed checks ever 30 min was promised and it was maybe every 2 hours and my private caregiver had to be hired and no one would check for hours - I would pass on concerns but nothing changed. Everyone was nice and kind and caring but it just wasn't enough for my mom and she fell often.

The overall experience has been good. The food is awful. The residents have brought this to the attention of Story Point on many occasions. They did hire a new chef and things were better. Last month he left and the quality of food once again is very poor. They have done a lot of upgrades to the property and it's beautiful. The staff is outstanding.

What stood out most is that it's clean, there are a lot of activities for residents. The food is very good. I would recommend them to others who are needing to find a place for their loved one.

my mother in law has lived here for over 2 years. the staff has been very good to her. honestly the 1st 6 months or so may have been difficult with staff. mainly due to worker shortages and covid. But, the past year it has gone very smoothly. the facility has made my M.I.L. very happy. the food service is very good and the staff has really helped her with her room and laundry. everyone is very kind and they keep her busy with activities. with all of that said, I am really happy for my M.I.L. and she is very happy.

Also the nursing staff is Great. I love that they take Moms diabetes so seriously. Of all the placements, Story Point has been the best. Mom is very content.

I feel safe, secure and comfortable here, managing staff is outstanding.

Need a new shuttle bush and additional hours the halls and activity rooms has had no air conditioning this summer. Food delivery and quality are disappointing also need heart healthy entrees offered.

I am a current resident at Grandhaven Assisted Living in Lansing MI. In my time here, I have found the Staff great. I have also found the food from the kitchen great ?? ?? The facility and environment is friendly and great.

I only have experience with the memory care unit, The Orchard. The physical facility is good, comfortable and in good repair. The staff genuinely care about the residents.

Overall the Aides / caregivers have been great, majority are empathetic and willing to help. Executive director and Dir. of nursing have been accessible when I have questions. There has been a large turnover in nurses and med. techs during the last 12 months , but overall things get resolved. The new Activity director has activities for assisted living residents but basically nonexistent for memory care residents.

The only thing that was wrong was the girls that were supposed to come help me first thing in the morning with my pills because I have arthritis in my hands and I couldn't get the packages open never showed up even after I called them I ended up getting a pair of scissors to open them so I just called Molly and told her to forget having the girls come here. [name removed] was always here right on time always friendly at night and I miss him, but I'm not gonna pay for something I'm not getting.

The quality of care gets a 4 during the week but a 3 during the weekends. The activities gets a 3 but while she was there but because there were so few residents at the time. They were slowly ramping up. Facility is very new, while we were there there were a core group of team members but seemed to have a lot of turnover especially with night and weekend people: most of the general seating area is in the independent living area which is a distance from assisted living. The rooms have a true apartment feel unlike most other facilities we looked at. The other thing I would add is the their hospice unit - Corsocare was great.

The staff is wonderful to work with! Activities, including BINGO, and other craft activities are planned and easy to do with limited mobility. The dining experience is good, but they are, and have been for some time now, looking to hire a chef. They all work hard to make living here enjoyable! I have also made a lot of friends! Getting to places is easy with transportation being provided.

Good: residents and staff are super friendly. I like my apartment, balcony, facility and all the events that are planned for us. Bad: lost our chef and food service is not up to par right now but they are working to fix that. When school started most of our wait staff left for college which means mostly new wait staff which will be ok once they are trained and used to our quirks.
