The people that work there are all very caring and friendly. They do a really good job with activities and keeping the residents engaged. I would like there to be better communication about things going on at the facility. An example, I reached out to ask if they were doing flu shots for the residents. I was told yes, the date and that I needed to sign paperwork but then never heard anything else. I feel that the facility should have reached out to let me know that was happening and asked if I wanted my mom to be involved instead of me having to reach out and ask only to have no follow up.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure both the residents are guests enjoyed an evening of trick or treating. Based on a great Halloween experiences. Thanks you!

I'm happy here, It fits my needs in every way. 3 meals a day, outings for the residents. on site beautician activities to keep us busy.

I’ve been living here for a little while now, and I can honestly say it feels like home. The staff are friendly and always willing to help, but they also respect your independence, which I really appreciate. There’s a nice balance between privacy and community. The meals are good, and I love not having to worry about cooking or maintenance anymore. The grounds are kept up beautifully, and it’s easy to get around. I’ve made a few close friends here, and there’s always something going on if you want to stay active from exercise classes, bingo, happy hour and outings. It’s comforting knowing I have support nearby if I need it, but I still get to live life on my own terms. Moving here was a big decision, but it’s one I’m glad I made.

The facility is great, the staff pleasant and helpful. Food, the menu can be odd at times considering the audience ( goat cheese and pear pizza? And too many plant based items. Overall anyplace a family looks for needs to be sure they are involved. Nothing is perfect and without family observations some housekeeping and care items can be missed such as laundry, shower days sheet changes. Better communication with the leaders and staff is needed.

What we like the most about the community is the Atmosphere and friendly staff. Yes, we would recommend StoryPoint Farmington Hills to other families based on the experience.

Quality of Care: (Misplaced Mom's Medication a few times, borrowed meds from other resident's prescriptions), Administrative Staff: (Constant Billing Issues and disorganization in Accounting Office, failure to return calls, etc), Food: (Not a lot of alternative options for Diabetics. Lots of the Same thing). We would absolutely recommend Danbury Columbus to other families based on the experience.

Over all they took good care of mom and bent over backwards in the end, had some staff come and go that weren't great but overall was very good. Apartment was great, food was good , did not do much activities but know they had a lot so that was nice.

My wife was in memory care. Room was small but adequate. Food was ok. Tried to stick with finger foods. Usually had hamburgers or grilled cheese if somebody didn't like the entree. Care was good. A little slack at nights, but it was usually pretty quiet. I did my wife's laundry, not because I was dissatisfied, but it gave me something to do when I went home( I visited ever day) They had quite a few actives She always went down for happy hour for the music and glass of wine. When she passed everyone was so kind. Several of the caretakers came to the funeral which I will always remember The overall experience at story point was good. Memory care is hard work and they took care of the people the best they could with the amount of staff they had.

A good value for the money. Meals are good and plenty of food. Staff is friendly. I would recommend this community to others who are currently searching for a place.

They said the food was great, and enjoyed the entertainment and activities. I found their staff very helpful with the move in process and getting my folks situated. Dad found billing to be a little confusing ... sort of like people weren't always talking to each other on staff but he got it worked out.

Things are going well with them. One major problem with the 1st payment, otherwise good. I would recommend them to others.

What we like the most about the community is that It feels safe there! My mom really likes her apartment. There are activities to do. There are in-house services like Homewell that can help my mom with daily activities.

There have been many management and staff changes during the time my mother has been there. If they could bring more stability, it would make a big improvement. Short staffing has affected several areas—including the kitchen, housekeeping, and activities—leading to a lack of continuity. That said, it is a lovely place. Currently, there seems to be some unhappiness with the kitchen and menu, but I’m hopeful the new director can make improvements for both the residents and the staff. I want to emphasize that I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone there. The staff are kind and caring. However, seniors become attached to their nurses, caregivers, or even the person at the front desk, and frequent changes can be unsettling. Each transition takes time before things feel back on track. Even with these challenges, I would absolutely recommend this community—and I also recommend A Place for Mom. In fact, I already have. The morning I first received a call from your representative, I was sitting at my desk in tears, not knowing what to do. And then the phone rang—it felt almost like an angel reaching out. I can’t remember her name for certain, but I think it may have been [name removed]. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. She guided me in so many ways and truly helped me hold on to my sanity and health that week.

Wonderful facility, services, and staff. Always fun activities, special guest features such as authors or musicians. Staff is very helpful. The facility is very clean. We feel very safe having our mother living at StoryPointe Birmingham.

The experience so far has been very positive, with a warm welcome from the residents and wonderful dining staff. There have been a few challenges with communication and follow-through in areas like billing, maintenance, and housekeeping, though efforts have been made to address them. While there were some bumps in the beginning, the hope is that things will continue to improve. Overall, the community and everything it offers have been very enjoyable.

The staff is excellent and well trained in memory care unit. They have organized activities. Yes, I would recommend the memory care unit.

Mom likes it there. New people in management and care people every time we go there. I would recommend to others. Of all places she been to Oliverwoods is the best.

The Food/dining is excellent. Staff is very friendly and caring. I would recommend this facility to others who are searching for memory care for their loved one.
